Welcome! Smile

Skiptonlass · 03/06/2015 09:05

Anyone else still throwing up? :)

Stinkersmum · 03/06/2015 09:09

I've not thrown up at all during my pregnancy so far but did have terrible all fucking day morning sickness up until about 14 weeks. It does seen to come back now and then for the odd day or two. If it does I just go to bed. I have found it quite dibilitating.

Coolchic12 · 03/06/2015 13:32

Welcome Skiptonlass. I still have bad nausea in the mornings and evenings and sometimes throwing up in the mornings at 21+5. I've been avoiding throwing up recently as I have a rib fracture apparently from violent cough, so throwing up is just too psinful??. Lucky you Stinkers, yes agree sleeping helps but it's not always an option due to work !

Stinkersmum · 03/06/2015 13:37

Yeah, the benefits of being an expats wife aren't too bad. I don't work. Blush

batfish · 03/06/2015 17:51

Hi Skiptonlass! I have been really lucky and haven't had any sickness at any point - really feel for you and the others who are still suffering, must be dreadful!

gaggiagirl · 04/06/2015 16:46

gingerbreadmam · 04/06/2015 17:03

just some abnormalities showed on the scan and at the moment were in limbo land until i have an amnio on tuesday to rule out causes and investigate further.

im sorry i really dont want to cause anyone due their 20wk scan any worry Thanks

gaggiagirl · 04/06/2015 17:17

gingerbread keep posting on here. Dont you worry about that. That's what were here for to support each other.
My DD who's 4 now had abnormalities at her 20 weeks scan, one of her kidneys hadn't developed properly but were fighting fit now.

gingerbreadmam · 04/06/2015 17:34

thats good news. ive been doing my google research Smile

im scared of building my hopes up (i did that with my mmc) and im petrified of the worst case scenario especially as i dont know much about it.

at my scan the abnormalities seen were a slight curve in the spine, a barely there femur in the right leg, i missing bone in the lower right leg (more than likely the fibular but we werent told that) and two club feet. Alone these wouldnt particularly be a worry but as they are all together there are concerns as to what has caused them so i am now having the amnio for edwards and pataus. i did get good screening results at 12wks and feotal medicine dr doesnt think is those but has to rule them out.

best case scenario is those are the only problems. although my son would be disabled most of the above can be corrected. the worst case scenario im not thinking about just yet.

Stinkersmum · 04/06/2015 17:42

Oh ginger. Hugs and hopes for you. X

gaggiagirl · 04/06/2015 18:48

gingerbread keep that positive outlook! Come on gingerbread boy! Stop worrying your mam!

Hi Ginger,

You poor thing, you must be feeling worried. Hold strong (easier said than done I know) and see what round 2 brings. The first scan sounds really promising. I have my scan tomorrow and I'm terrified, I still haven't had any feeling and I'm guessing everyone else has by now and I'm the last. Worried something has gone wrong and there won't be a baby as surely I would be feeling by now Hmm

Stinkersmum · 04/06/2015 19:18

Ladypug I didn't feel anything til this week, please don't panic. I'm 21+2 today.

gingerbreadmam · 04/06/2015 19:50

thanks ladies!

ladypug i wouldnt worry when i was having my scan baby was wiggling all over but i couldnt feel a thing!

my movements have always been something i could easily pass off as something else if i wanted to so maybe thats just whats subconsciously happening. please dont worry everything will be fine.

batfish · 04/06/2015 20:20

Aww ginger I'm sorry to hear about your worries, keeping everything crossed for you that things are OK and please don't worry about posting - we are here to take the bad with the good, in real life shit happens and we would rather you can talk about it if you need to.

gingerbreadmam · 04/06/2015 20:41

thanks batfish really appreciate it.

Ladypug · 04/06/2015 21:11

Thanks Stinkers and Ginger, people keep asking why I haven't felt anything yet and I just want to yell at them, I don't know, you tell me! ARGH!

I will update you all tomorrow after the scan. Take it easy Ginger and like everyone says, talk about it as much as you need, we all need to support each other on this bus :-)

batfish · 05/06/2015 06:59

ladypug when I wasn't feeling anything I found it really stressful that people were constantly asking if I'd felt anything yet. But don't worry I'm sure you will see in your scan that everything is fine, everyone feels things at different times. I was getting panicked because everyone on the fb group seemed to have been feeling proper kicks for weeks and I was only feeling some tiny things that I wasn't even sure was baby! Good luck for your scan, I'm sure all will be fab Smile

gingerbreadmam · 05/06/2015 09:17

good luck today lady

im feeling much more positive. spoke to the hospital this morning. i completely forgot to mention the other day my brother is dyspraxic and has a curve in his spine and my dniece is currently being referred to a consultant to see if she has it has she has a couple of symptoms. this means the spine at least could be genetic.

the hospital were really lovely and where i have been torturing myself thinking we might be told not to continue with the pregnancy depending on what else they find the sonographer reassured me that as long as edwards or pataus werent found the baby is otherwise healthy. the chance of that is low too as it would have been picked up at screening but they just want to double check. so i feel really positive today phew!

crazypuglady · 05/06/2015 09:33

So sorry to read this gingerbread but glad you're being so positive about it. I agree with batfish, this isn't just a place for the good stuff so keep posting. Really hope everything comes back as well as possible.

Fabuluce · 05/06/2015 09:43

Scary times ginger but offering a hand hold for comfort and am impressed with your PMA. Go gingerbreadboy!

gingerbreadmam · 05/06/2015 10:46

thank you so much. i know we still have a long road ahead of us with the leg issue but this feels minor in comparisson to not being able to progress. hope everyone else is well.
