Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 28th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 46th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

Oh yes - 7 weeks I remember the implant pains actually! My DM says it's baby settling in for the long haul. Hurt like buggery!

Pixie I've had both an emergency and a planned c section, please don't stress about it, planned is very calm and all the staff were lovely and good at chatting to keep you calm while everything was prepped. I didn't have to argue my case for the planned section either, although I don't know your history.

Jcandy · 19/05/2015 08:42

Shame it hasn't progressed for you tori but it sounds like you're very calm so I'm sure you'll make the best decision for you. Poms Poms out for you Star

Tee wow that's super organised! I like planning stuff but even I wouldn't have thought of that jots down ideas

looking it can be quite painful at times but as long as there is no bleeding you should be OK, as la said phone epu if you're concerned

Well I dragged myself into work yesterday and felt 10 times worse for it. I barely ate or drank anything yesterday with the nausea. Got an appointment with the gp this morning, think I might need more time off but I just feel so guilty

LaLaLaaaa · 19/05/2015 09:19

Phone lost the giant post I did earlier :(

Morning!

Fleur I feel better walking around too although i get tired. My hips hurt if I stay still

Thanks for list purple!

Tori you sound very calm and collected - fx for progressing today. Did you not say it was a special day today at some point? It's not your birthday is it?

Love fairy light idea! I have a soft touch lamp next to bed so should be ok.

Very excited because my parcels are arriving today- changing bag, cot mattress and others. Have left dh in charge of house to receive them, hope he doesn't sleep through the doorbell!

Dulcet I'm a fan of being as relaxed as possible but I do think you might need to start buggy shopping Smile

Today I have wc vaccine then midwife appointment, followed by osteopath. My shoulder is locked so I'm hoping he'll work his magic.

Purple try not to worry. Firstly there's nothing you can do to change the outcome so it's a waste of energy but secondly I always remind people that stories only make press because they are unusual. So reading about people giving birth early in magazines means it's not the norm.

Work trips - I did one last week at 31 weeks. It was tiring but I made sure I had seat booked on train and got permission to take taxis (charity so we are not normally allowed). I felt ok up to about 28 weeks but everyone is different. Can you get closer to the time and make a decision?

Hooray for scan and being 21 weeks towns! Lovely to hear from you.

Pixie I'm sure if you are that anxious they will work with you about CS. My friends who had them said they weren't scary at all.

Tee you are super organised!!!!

JC I hope the doctors can give you something to help with your nausea it sounds awful you poor thing.

I really need to start work...

Dulcet- my baby is crazy when I eat anything! But yes the oj with spatone sends him mad Grin he's a big wriggler anyway!!

RhiannonElward · 19/05/2015 09:20

Tori sounds like hard going, hopefully you'll have some answers end then a lovely baby very soon :)

Pixie I've had one emcs and one planned cs and honestly you have nothing to worry about. My emergency one was the easiest and it was fine, I felt well and happy throughout. You only have to wait about 5-10 minutes for your baby and after that you're too happy to care. It can be a bit jiggly, you can feel them pulling and it moves you a little but it's fine. Recovery is different for everyone but it's not too bad. The first few days are tough, I won't lie, but it means you get to lie down and be waited on while you cuddle your baby, so don't worry too much about it. I'm an anxious person and I was fine.

My second was planned for complications which meant I bled a lot, so I was very anaemic afterwards and found the recovery while looking after a baby harder, I wouldn't have any problems doing it again, except that I really want to experience natural labour on my last baby. Honestly, your section isn't going to be as bad as you think, you're awake and very much involved, and there's a nice person chatting away to you about whatever and then a baby lands on your chest and hoorah!

Tee you are the most organised person I have ever even heard of. I shoved some stuff in a suitcase and sent dp home for all we'd forgotten/hadn't brought enough of i.e. most things.

Looking in my experience early pregnancy is full of scary twinges, but it's hard to figure out what they are, or whether you need to be worried. Ultimately you just have to hang in there and see if you fart yourself better or if it persists mention it to your midwife.

Thanks all for advice RE dm and dpil, I have spoken to dp and he wasn't keen on getting another one, but doesn't mind if I do. I will think about it and perhaps explain to dmil when she next comes to stay. Hopefully she won't cry.

Thank you viroids you're all so helpful and reassuring.

dulcet uncomfortable really, although the pain was sharp it was just like a poke and so only lasted a second. It does seem to have eased now gx!

ChatEnOeuf · 19/05/2015 09:55

Scan day...will check in properly later.

DD told me she didn't want to go to school in case she missed the baby - not quite sure how to take that!

Maybe she knows something you don't chat!

Tori happy birthday!!! Hope you get a baby present Grin Cake

Purpleball · 19/05/2015 10:58

Happy Scan day Chat

Thanks for the advice. Dulcet I'll PM you Smile

Tori hope something happens soon

Tee I'm in awe of your organising Smile

La epic post now go do some work Smile

I didn't get travel insurance for Belfast. I'm now wondering if I should. I'll have a look at what it covers. I'm hiring a car when I get there. Hopefully I'll be able to fit behind the wheel!
It's not the flying that's bothering me, although I've had bad experience of that airport when it's windy, it's giving birth while I'm there Sad

Purpleball · 19/05/2015 10:59

Oh and Happy Birthday Tori Thanks

Purpleball · 19/05/2015 11:01

Looking I had loads of that pain, still get it occasionally now. Usually if I move awkwardly or twist, sometimes when I turn in bed. It's sharp and makes me ow, but goes when I stop moving. The MW wasn't concerned. I think it's round ligament pain

teejayem · 19/05/2015 11:35

Happy birthday tori Cake hope you're comfortable at least, has it been especially painful......? (sorry for so many nosy questions, your situation is really similar to mine and I'm expecting something similar possibly by the end of next week) really hoping you see your baby soon xx

Honestly I can't recommend the clothes in zip bags enough, Mr tee isn't a moron by any stretch, but I've made the bag idiot proof, I just know there will be so much going on and I can see him panicking, and rather just pulling out everything all over the floor and me shouting at him because he should know what a bloody hat looks like etc...we can be a bit controlled. I hope. I also just found the mini Paul frank lunchbag that came with the hold-all I'm using for the hosp bag, which is awesome so I can keep all my snacky bits separate.

Going to put together a playlist for hospital today, I've heard from more than one person that the mobile internet signal in l&d is crap at hosp, so I can't rely on spotify. Need to download my hypno birthing and relaxation things as well. Not sure if I'll even want music, but it might be nice to have in the background.

Hope scan goes okay chat

Belly button update - still innie!!. I wonder if this little monkey has done a 180 and is against my back, would explain the lack of usual bulges and zingy pain

RhiannonElward · 19/05/2015 11:38

Happy Birthday Tori, hope you're not too hungry. Being pregnant and nil by mouth is Cruel and Unusual Punishment and is against the Geneva Convention. Hopefully decision and some dinner is on the way :)

Chat good luck for your scan :) looking forward to news later.

Thanks Rhiannon, La and Couldn't. I've been to a baby group this morning with DD and met a couple of mums who have both had c sections and they've put me more at ease as well. Both said it's more uncomfortable and annoying the recovery rather than agony which seems better to me.
Tori Happy Birthday!! ?? Hope things start moving for you soon.

Just as I'm starting baby groups again bloody half term rocks up so now over the next 2 weeks nothing will be on! Nightmare! Going to have to try and squish as many activities in this week to keep the pest occupied.
Absolutely shattered, had to do CIO with DD last night at 1am- she went back to sleep for 1:30am but then DS decided it was an excellent time to start kicking the crap out of me and he had hiccups for AGES!

LaLaLaaaa · 19/05/2015 13:12

Er.....ow!?!?!?

Whooping cough vaccine really hurt!

Ow!

After all the blood tests and anti D jabs I've had recently I'm starting to feel like a pincushion.

LaLaLaaaa · 19/05/2015 13:12

Fuck you whooping cough!

Fattycow · 19/05/2015 13:34

I am so glad that I'm not having that vaccine!

LaLaLaaaa · 19/05/2015 14:20

I'm normal quite tough about these things! It didn't hurt to have, it's the after ache that hurts.

Midwife appointment done! Baby is head down and apparently now unlikely to move from there - woohoo! I've got ketones in urine so been told I need to eat more. Gladly! Do magnums count?

Measuring fine!

She made a sarky remark about 'you're amassing a large amount of notes!' It's not my fault they keep making me go to the hospital then add yet another large bit of card to my notes! She also blamed me for not telling her that I had hip dysplasia. Erm... I told you that in first appointment and it's written in my notes! Hmm...

RhiannonElward · 19/05/2015 14:26

Looks like all is going well then La, congratulations on everything except the sarky remarks and armache. Being told to eat more is every pregnant woman's dream, is it not? Magnum's do indeed count so get in there :)

Fattycow · 19/05/2015 14:32

Oh yes, of course Magnums count!

LaLaLaaaa · 19/05/2015 14:46

Apart from my hips...bloody agony today!

Cymraes17 · 19/05/2015 15:02

Just had a lovely bath. Been in pjs again untill now.
Piled up some clothes to put away, need to put some clothes on the airer (is that an english word?) and put away dry nappies in the cupboard.
DM is coming over tomorrow, and has offered to be cheif cook and bottle washer! She is also bringing a rhubarb crumble, mmm.
Hope everything is going well tori, and happy birthday!
