Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 28th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 46th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

The West Wing - it's brilliant!

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 25/05/2015 21:30

I had to Google OITNB, the shame!

I'm due on the 3rd June but I've been convinced the whole way through that this will be a May baby. But he's hanging on in there.

Time to re-watch Arrested Development I think :)

ZylaB · 25/05/2015 21:43

dulcet H plays spin the baby, she still twists around so she's at right angles to the way we put her to bed, I think she does it while trying to get out of her swaddle. It doesn't bother her at all, even now when she's too big to stretch out that way, she just lies scrunched up and pleased with herself. We don't use a blanket thou as we swaddle her so that's layers and I don't want her to get too hot. I can't see a reason why it'd be a problem, especially when they're really little and can't movemuch. If it's to Do with blankets, you're meant to put them down to the bottom of the crib anyway with their legs bent and feet touching the end, 'feet to foot' they call it, so they can't get under the blanket and smother themselves.

I love OITNB! Can't wait for the new season

Hobbit19 · 25/05/2015 22:02

Right then Viroids, can't work how to do a link from my phone but just found this awesome leaflet on birth place choices. I need to decide between an 'alongside' midwife unit and a 'freestanding' one (providing no complications). Being a scientist I can't make decisions without facts based on actual research so I found this really, really useful.

undercovermidwife.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/wondering-where-to-give-birth.html?m=1

Sorry for unlinky link!

Hobbit19 · 25/05/2015 22:02

Ooh it worked! Yey!

Indigoblue2 · 25/05/2015 22:08

pud I just read that today aswell!!

jellypi3 · 25/05/2015 22:17

I'm not even thinking of that stuff for a long time

Hobbit19 · 25/05/2015 22:19

When I self referred to the midwife the form asked where I wanted to give birth! I put 'no bloody idea!' I'd only just worked out that I was upduffed!

deeplybaffled · 25/05/2015 22:38

pud - gp asked me for choice of hospital when i was about 5 weeks, and then at 12 week scan, midwife asked if i wanted m/w unit or consultant unit. Fortunately for me, the two units are only a pair of swinging doors apart, so i can allegedly keep changing my mind on the day :) but it did tickle me - like i had the faintest idea about what would be best, when the nearest i had come to parenthood was shrugging hopelessly at 2 deviant cats!

la - thanks for egg guidance. i had a nasty suspicion it was a lost cause, but didn't want to just abandon it if there was something I could have done. i may also have spent part of morning en route back from holiday crying because i couldn't bring stray holiday cat back with me in suitcase and was worried about her - aren't hormones great?

Incidentally, any hints on what to do with hormonal or otherwise sulking dhs? After a lovely holiday, dh has barely spoken to me since arriving at airport, has refused to go out to 2 pre discussed social things and disappeared off to bed early. He does this occasionally and usually takes 3/4 days to return to normal. Talking to him doesn't work as he denies anything is wrong. Does anyone have any tricks that work? Have spent most of day out myself to avoid the atmosphere, but still....it would be nice to accelerate the cycle if possible.
meh. Men!!!

gaggiagirl · 25/05/2015 23:25

Back from the parents, it was my dads fault about the room booking, he hadn't blocked out my days on booking.com. I feel bad for them because they are fully booked and they never stopped and they had to entertain me and DD, so we came home. The folk who got my room had travelled from Germany so I couldn't even huff at them.
On the plus side I tried the new 'full english' breakfast loaf. Amazing. Came home with baked goods. Amazing.
Will read back now.

gaggiagirl · 25/05/2015 23:26

Aaarrrrrggghh totally didn't mean to link to said booking website.

teejayem · 26/05/2015 03:41

It's entirely reasonable to saw my own leg off to try and shift this sciatica isn't it?! It's been non stop since about 8pm and I've napped for a grand total of 48 minutes since, nothing is touching it, heat, walking, stretching painkillers. Aaaaaaaaargh!!!!

WilHarlot · 26/05/2015 03:52

That sounds awful Tee, I hate sciatica. Unfortunately I have no suggestions other than back bends which may not be easy at your stage. Probably wouldn't help much anyway. Thanks

teejayem · 26/05/2015 03:59

Thanks wil, it's just such a shit when I don't think I've done anything aggravate it, (apart from Boulder sized child sitting on all my precious nerves) - might go and bounce on my ball for a bit see if that works....Confused I really feel like something in my back/hip needs a good crack but I can't make it go. Huff.

LaLaLaaaa · 26/05/2015 04:58

Owwwwwwwwww!!! Tee I sympathise. Been woken up by hips shooting pain up and down body.

Yours must be much worse as you're much further on - it's not nice :(

Can you go to osteopath or massage to try to get some relief? Or go swimming and go in the warm water for a bit? Have you got pillows round you helping to keep spine straight etc?

I also have heartburn - kinda feels like my boobs might fall off. Gaviscon is my friend.

Gaggia is it dds birthday today? What have you planned? Glad you've forgiven them for double booking you I couldn't see any link on your post

DulcetMoans · 26/05/2015 05:47

What is a full english breakfast loaf gaggia?! That sounds amazeballs!

That all sucks the tee. I can are why cutting off legs is appealing but long term probably not good idea.

Thanks zyla, I wasn't aware of the feet to foot thing but DH picked it up somewhere and mentioned last week. Makes sense, just wouldn't have thought of it!

Do you not know what's up with him then deeply? That's annoying. Not sure how you get it out of him. I usually have some idea what has bothered DH although sometimes convince myself there is something wrong and there isn't so then he gets stressy because I keep asking 'what's wrong?'. Could it just be holiday comedown?

batfish · 26/05/2015 06:39

deeply if hubby is annoyed with me then a shag usually clears the air but if it's not me then it's work so I just have to listen to him ranting on about it and make lots of sympathetic noises!

I reeeeally want to watch Grey's Anatomy from the beginning - I've seen the odd episode but want to properly watch it - one of my friends is friends with Patrick Dempsey too not jealous at all so I'm extra interested for that reason too! But I haven't wanted to watch recent ones because want to watch from the beginning. Def one for mat leave I think!

PixieChops · 26/05/2015 07:39

Deeply I don't have much advice if I'm honest, just if its a usual thing were hubby is a bit down in the dumps after holiday it may just be holiday blues. Still a bit crap for you though.
My OH was stressing about cricket (captain of local cricket team) and I got all his foul moods. I put my foot down in the end and told him to either get a grip and come out for the day with me and DD or he could stay in and sulk like a little boy. He ended up coming out. Now I just have to deal with him sorting out his team every night (being called up when we are having tea, putting DD to bed etc) and being forced to watch it when he gets in from work as England are playing test matches at the moment. I have no idea how cricket works and neither do I care. I hate it. Trust OH to pick the longest frigging game known to man to play on a Saturday Hmm
Tee and La I have both sciatica and heartburn, I feel for you both. It's absolutely bollocks. My main problem is that I have a wonky pelvis so have to keep having it popped back in every couple of weeks at physio. It gets worse as the days go by until I see the physio again and then I'm fine for about 2-3 days and usually sciatic pain free!
La my OH got me a super size bottle of gaviscon as soon as we found out I was pregnant as I had it so bad last time. DD was still pretty bald so don't get where this whole heartburn = hair comes from!
Anyone watching The Goldbergs on E4? Every weekday night at 7:30- about a family in the 80s and based on real life events. It's bloody hilarious and mine and OHs favourite programme at the moment. Only downside is that OH insists that I'm just like the mum as she's very passionate and gets pretty heated at things she really cares about and he can see me being the way she is with her kids with ours.

Been up since 6am with DD and OH has already gone to work- so I'm sat in bed watching The Furchester Hotel with DD whilst quietly shifting myself about my c section consultant appointment. Confused Having to take DM with me as she was one of my birth partners and OH is at work. I can see myself breaking down and bursting into tears if I don't get my own way, or they try referring me to a bloody psychiatrist about feeling anxious about having a natural delivery again. I don't have time to see a psychiatrist, I've got about a month left! Plus I've already had CBT (that was pants)
Sorry for epic post here's a Brew and Thanks for everyone who gets to the end.

jellypi3 · 26/05/2015 07:50

Morning viroids?
Any news from tee, before or cym? :)

pixie sorry you are feeling so down and hope yor appointment goes well. I'm also a cricket widow at the moment, DP is obsessed with it. The ashes is this year too, that's 25 days of bloody cricket non stop. Yay Hmm

I did a very stupid thing this morning. I pee'd on an Internet cheapy. Of course a line came up almost instantly but it wasn't as strong as the control line, so I'm now getting myself in a bit of a worry over it. I'm not pissing on anymore sticks, I kind of blame DP because he encouraged me to. What will be will be at the end of the day.

Anyone else dreading going back to work after BH?

LaLaLaaaa · 26/05/2015 07:54

Oh dear jelly. Very daft. Step away from the sticks!!!

I'm excited- I'm going to see David Attenborough tonight!

teejayem · 26/05/2015 08:21

Okay, so maybe I won't saw my leg off and maybe my back is agony for good reason and maybe I didn't want Mr Tee to go to work this morning, because something is happening, got up for a wee after he'd gone and ta dah! One mucus plug.
Trying to not get too excited as I know this could well signify bugger all, and it might just regenerate and it's really hard for me to differentiate the back pain I've got from anything else, however I will be bouncing on my ball. I'm just hoping it moves him off my nerve a bit, I can live with it if it's pain with a purpose. I think.

Hobbit19 · 26/05/2015 08:23

Jelly it took until about 6 weeks for the line on ICS to become as dark as the control line, and then got lighter again after 8/9 weeks, which is normal according to Google Not that I have been pissing on sticks Viroids, honest!!

Brew for all the Viroids who didn't get much sleep last night.

PixieChops · 26/05/2015 08:25

I'm with lala! Stop pissing on sticks!! I billy did one each with my babies and to be honest that was enough Grin neither child was planned. I feel bad on OH as he's only known me to not be pregnant for 4 months out of the time we've been together which is coming up for 2 years in July lol.
Oh god I didn't know the ashes were this year!!! Are they on every year?! I can't cope, cricket is so poo!
I'm not feeling down Jelli just a bit scared Sad but thank you! I have every part of me crossed that they'll give me an ELCS. I suppose it'll be weird knowing baby's birthday in advance lol

PixieChops · 26/05/2015 08:26

Sorry phone substituted "only" with "billy" wtf is Billy?!
