Noticed we were getting a bit full in the last thread! Roll up, roll up for more scanning, puking, worrying and other distractions to take us through the first trimester! Grin

I've heard yoga is best for stretching out, relieving tension and back pain etc, which is good in the later stages when you're huge and achey!

I've never managed yoga very well though, I'm just not flexible enough so I can't do the positions well enough to get much benefit from them.

Pilates is more about toning, conditioning, core strength. So I guess they're both good for different reasons, but I think pilates suits me better.

shinysparklythings · 16/05/2015 12:17

Do body balance its a mix of both!

shinysparklythings · 16/05/2015 14:04

shinysparklythings · 16/05/2015 14:07

Ok that link works.

It really needs updating so if people can post their booking in / 12 week scan / EDD etc dates I will add them.

If anyone else has a google account and wants to help update it pm me your email address and I can give you editing privileges.

shinysparklythings · 16/05/2015 17:26

All updated Ladies.

Geeky fact: The average age of ladies on this thread of those that have given their age is 31.8!

I thought I would be fairly old on the thread at 29 as it feels like all my friends had kids years ago! well i guess they did as the children are as old as 9!

Withalittlesparkle · 16/05/2015 17:39

Thanks shiny, cracking job with the stats!! Let me know if you still need help updating

Interesting re average age. I thought i was getting on a bit two but I guess with it being number two I feel older anyway!!

Just back from my final bridesmaids dress fitting, phew still fits

chopsface · 16/05/2015 17:56

Thanks for the stats!

I'm 35, baby number 1. I'm in Bristol. Booking in may 18th no 12 week scan yet.

Told my folks, they are as pleased as punch! My 9 year old niece was unexpectedly at my parents house so had to tell them when she was out of the room as she would be likely to blab to other relatives!

Nice some of you are feeling less crap now. Week 7 was good for me. Week 8-9 is not so good! Nausea and tired from getting up to going to bed! If I'm lucky I get a few random hours off here and there but no pattern on when those times are going to be!

FlorIxora · 16/05/2015 18:22

Shiny I'd be happy to sharw my location: London.

I don't feel like my symptoms are levelling, the fatigue/exhaustion is ramping up if anything.

Sweets27 · 16/05/2015 18:40

shiny, you are a star! I'll PM you my gmail address so I can help with the updates.

chops, glad it went well telling your parents - it must be so nice for you now that they know! Hope you feel better soon.

BabsUnited · 16/05/2015 18:55

Ooh can I be added to the stats pretty please?

EDD 1 Jan (but I almost definitely WILL be early hence this thread Wink)
DC2
Age 32
Location Essex

shinysparklythings · 16/05/2015 18:57

OK, there are now 3 people who can edit the spreadsheet so hopefully we will be able to keep it up to date. Thanks for helping ladies.

Chops, glad it went well telling your folks :)

Tomorrow we are going another town so that i can go to bravissimo to get a bra big enough for my boobies Grin, just text my bestie from school to see if she is free and she is going to meet us for coffee. I will probably tell her, which is exciting. She didn't actually know she was pregnant till she gave birth to the first, and was 6/7 months with the second, so she missed out on all this nervy first bit.

BabsUnited · 16/05/2015 18:59

And and booking in appt isn't till 4 June (I'll be 10w) and no 12 week scan booked.

Feeling really sick today and absolutely knackered. Looking after DS solo as DH unpacks and moves stuff around the house so no break for me until DS goes to bed. hurry up fucking Boj you annoying CBeebies twat so I can have some peace and quiet Haha sorry for that outburst...

chopsface · 16/05/2015 21:08

Its very quiet in here tonight, has everyone had an early night? Confused

Anyone have ideas of where I can maternity clothes from? I think I will need to start looking soon. No idea what I want to wear though! Normally I live in jeggings but most of the preg will be over summer when I wear cut offs and linen trousers. What can you get in maternity?! I need a maternity swimsuit too. I think I will only be in normal stuff another 2 weeks maybe as I've got a bigger belly already from unhealthy snacks!

WonkyDonkBonk · 16/05/2015 21:11

Babs boj is rubbish, not as bad as Abney and Teal though , that's just dull apart from the blowy up thing. For all of you expectong DC1 you will develop a love/hate relationship with cbeebies - it will attack your sanity but allow you to pee or make a cup of tea.

It seems a lot of us are feeling a bit better now - thsts good. I hit a low point last weekend at 7 weeks, just didn't want to move, i'm definitely more lively this week but i have been sick twice Confused

I self referred myself to the midwives on Wednesday via email and got my booking in appt and 12 week scan appt letters on Friday. Very pleased with the speediness of service - hope it stays that way.

Would someone mind updating my stats please? EDD 27/12/15, DC2, age 34 (that will probably drag the average age up a notch), Location Kent, booking in 2nd June, 12 week scan 15th June.

Is anyone planning to do nct? i didn't last time as i moved out of the area just after DD was born and i was short on mummy friends, not sure what to do this time.

ineedsomeinspiration · 16/05/2015 21:13

You can add my location to the stats I'm in Suffolk.
We've been to a country fsir today with ds and are all wiped out.

WonkyDonkBonk · 16/05/2015 21:14

chops I'm here. I have a maternity swimming costume from sports direct.

Maternity clothes in the shops seem to be getting less readily available. H&M do them, as do New look if you are looking for budget stuff. Red Herring at Debenhams do some nice bits too. And don't forget ebay is your friend.

WonkyDonkBonk · 16/05/2015 21:16

Asos do some nice bits too.

ineedsomeinspiration · 16/05/2015 21:17

chops I got a lot of my maternity stuff last time from eBay and in the sales. No point spending a fortune on stuff you're wearing for such a short time. Lots of floaty tops in the shops atm.
I also like New Look and red herrings maternity stuff as fairly cheap.

WaitingForEgg · 16/05/2015 21:24
