Noticed we were getting a bit full in the last thread! Roll up, roll up for more scanning, puking, worrying and other distractions to take us through the first trimester! Grin

Glad you've got your appointment sorted chops! Smile

Thanks for your reply sweets, so interesting. I haven't been told anything like that - doc's plan currently is to hope it/they go away by the 12 week scan but given the size that sounds pretty bloody optimistic! The doc did say that it could just be pushed out of the way/squashed by the growing baby during pregnancy - if it doesn't rupture! - which would be good. He told me to avoid jumping around which can increase the risk of torsion.

Just to clarify, the scan showed a giant blob which measured 12cms, but it wasn't clear if it was one 12cm cyst or two slightly smaller ones of 5cm and 7cm, as there was a bit of matter in the middle of the blob. So mine is also bloody enormous! Shock

Afternoon all. Thank you for all the xmas pointers. it would be my mum, stepdad and maybe my brother. I think they would be fine. I of course plan to either to do nothing at all and impersonate a beached whale on the big comfy sofa or cuddle tiny bundle.

I love xmas and would be miffed if nothing happened that day and I still had no baby to show for.

My number one symptom is exhaustion. Feeling a bit low and useless from it tonight. I am crossing my fingers that this will get better for the second trimester.

So I told BFF - she took the news very well. I am so glad I told her early and before the other friends.

I also told my siblings last night and they melted my heart with their lovely reactions. My sis hyperventilated and my bro got the giggles. They both proceeded to send me loads of e-mails to tell me how excited they are. Grin

chopsface · 15/05/2015 18:34

I met up with my single childless friend for lunch in the end. Told her and she was chuffed to bits and is planning crochet-ing stuff for it! Better reaction than I thought!

Also exhausted :-(

FlorIxora · 15/05/2015 19:08

Chops I hear you. So tired I could cry.

Sweets27 · 15/05/2015 19:14

Me too. I'm so glad it's finally the weekend...!!

chanders, I see - that does sound large if it's just the one - fingers crossed for it to be a bit clearer at the 12 week scan, and you never know, it might start to shrink a bit. Argh, why are these things never simple and easy?! Pregnancy itself is scary enough to deal with! Hmm

Anyway, have a nice Friday night everyone Smile

WaitingForEgg · 15/05/2015 19:16

Chops so glad it went well! DH just collected my maternity pack from the GP for me, so so exciting Grin 9 weeks tomorrow!

chopsface · 15/05/2015 19:24

I'm 9 weeks Sunday! So exciting! The last few weeks have got by quite quick really. I was desperate to reach 6 weeks and now 6 weeks was 3 weeks ago! Marvelous! Another 3 weeks to the next major milestone!

ineedsomeinspiration · 15/05/2015 20:03

Just fell asleep with ds whilst putting him to bed. DH came and woke me. It's ds first night without a nappy so fingers crossed for no accidents and nighttime wakings.

Withalittlesparkle · 15/05/2015 21:08

I'm in bed with the sorest of throats!! Wahhhhh

My 12 week scan is finally booked for 28th May, that's less than two weeks when I'll be 12 weeks and a few days! Beyond excited

Fizzie100 · 15/05/2015 22:56

Currently on a late train home after meeting friends and honestly feel like I may be sick any second. Oh god......

shinysparklythings · 16/05/2015 07:01

fizzie I hope you got home without vomming!

with eep! It's so exciting when you finally get he scan date through, mine is on the 27th :)

I'm 11 weeks today! Grin Work is so manic with the GCSE's build up, that time is passing quite quickly! Just desperate for that scan to know that everything is ok, so that I can tell people. Grin

Hope everyone has a good Saturday!

NicNak22 · 16/05/2015 08:17

We told me people last night, I'll be nine weeks on Monday, we've not had an early scan or anything but not telling people is too stressful for me.

I'm really hoping my scan appt comes to next week I really can't wait to find iout that all is OK!

chopsface · 16/05/2015 08:26

9 weeks tomorrow! Eeek! Can't wait to tell my mummy today!

Sweets27 · 16/05/2015 09:18

Morning all, hope you're ok fizzie!

chops how exciting, enjoy telling your mum Smile

shiny, your scan is 2 days before mine. You must be so excited! I can't wait.

Went to my first ever pilates class just now, really good. Hoping to sort out core muscles over next few months. Can highly recommend it!

ineedsomeinspiration · 16/05/2015 09:57

Morning all,

snap shiny I'm 11 weeks today too. I want my scan to start telling more people too, I hate having secrets. Especially at work, feel like I'm not being myself.

Fizzie100 · 16/05/2015 10:15

Ooh pirates sounds good sweets I'm keen to start something like that too. Can you start at any stage of PG? Sounds fab. My SIL did Pilates all the way through and she swore it helped her in labour.

Made it home ok thanks! DP was on the platform waiting for me with a bag and it just ended up being massive waves of nausea as opposed to vomiting!

We are really agonising over whether to tell parents or wait until 12 week scan which I need to book in now I've had booking appointment which was yesterday. Lovely midwife! Can't decide if they would rather know when we are 12weeks after the sadness of our MC this year or whether they'd be just as excited now. Hmmmmm! Decisions! 9+3 over here and midwife confirmed 18th Dec as DD. Have a lovely day all x

Fizzie100 · 16/05/2015 10:16

Pilates!!!

Fizzie100 · 16/05/2015 10:20

Chops have fun telling your Mummy!

shinysparklythings · 16/05/2015 10:26

Ooh Pilates sounds good. I'm going to body pump and balance for the first time since finding out I was pregnant on tues. Going to message the instructor beforehand to let her know. She's a friend and came to our wedding so will be nice to tell her.

fizzie glad you made it home ok. I'm waiting till my scan to tell my folks. My mum lives so far away that if I was to mc, she'd be too far away to help and I thinkthat would make her feel worse. Her dad my grandad passed away the week I found out I was pregnant.

abi2790 · 16/05/2015 11:02

Wooo finally got my scan date! 29th May when i'll be 12+3 Smile

WaitingForEgg · 16/05/2015 11:08

Withalittle i've also been hit by the plague Sad pretty sure it's just a bad cold, but on top of already being so tired I feel dreadful. Exams in just over a week so I can't even slack

Sweets27 · 16/05/2015 11:10

Ooh, I used to love body pump but haven't done it for ages, so I'm not sure taking it up again now would be wise - they do say not to strain your body too much or start a new regime.

I don't really see pilates as new as I've been doing yoga and a bit of running, but I'm pleased I've started - yes fizzie, I've heard it can help in labour and it also tones up your core so that after baby comes you can get back into shape more quickly.

Apparently you shouldn't take it up after 28 weeks as at that stage your body won't be able to cope with getting used to the new stretches and so on. Any time before then fine, though.

Sweets27 · 16/05/2015 11:13

Exciting abi! I'm the same day. Less than 2 weeks! Smile

ChandlersFarang · 16/05/2015 11:50

Fizzie, congrats for not vomming all over the train!! Good work!! You left us hanging last night, lol.GrinGrin

I'm 9 weeks today! Cannot believe I'm actually still in the game, lol. Loving it. The last few days have seen my nausea subside a bit which has been fab actually, now I've stopped worrying about it. Have heard quite a few people saying they found this happened around now, but it came back later... So I took advantage while I could and went to cross fit this morning!! Felt fucking great to exercise. Then I came home, fell asleep immediately, then woke up starving and ate a load of chocolate!! Oops. Lol.

I'm quite up for trying Pilates actually Sweets & co - have always done yoga though. Do you reckon one is better than the other in pregnancy?
