Noticed we were getting a bit full in the last thread! Roll up, roll up for more scanning, puking, worrying and other distractions to take us through the first trimester! Grin

wonky me and my friend were discussing Bing the other day. We both agreed that he needs to get a grip and stop whining about stupid things haha!

To add to the stats: age 24, baby no 2, location Salford, scan date 29th May.

I am exhausted! Went shopping with my friend and ds. We decided before we went we wouldnt be out long as friend had revision to do but I left the house at 12:30 and didn't get home till 9!! Ds is out like a light and I'm stuck to the sofa unable to move!

I went to buy some more comfortable bras today and I'm now a 36E! I'm very short and petite so my boobs look huge!

chopsface · 16/05/2015 21:48

Aww waiting we are booking in buddies! Hope your cold gets better soon. Our immune system is shite at the moment, my first preg symptom was massive coldsore! Lol

Thanks for maternity advice. I don't usually buy stuff off eBay as it never fits! I have an awkward body shape! I'm tall with freakishly broad shoulders, no waist and skinny legs! I'm a 12 bottoms and anywhere from 12-16 on top! How attractive lol Grin

WonkyDonkBonk · 16/05/2015 22:24

I now have a very strange mental image of you chops Grin

Withalittlesparkle · 16/05/2015 22:51

I'll not tolerate bing bashing on here, the DVD buys me 73 minutes of unadulterated napping GrinGrinGrin of course I realise that makes me a terrible parent but I'll make up for it when the morning sickness passes

WaitingForEgg · 17/05/2015 00:17

Thanks chops. Lots of sulking going on today but luckily DH has been doting.
Yay for being booking in buddies! I'm a little nervous as what to expect. Picked up paperwork and midwife advised me to fill out as much as I can but unsure if I leave anything for her to do. Weight, height etc do I fill in or do they?

Jebel · 17/05/2015 07:21

chops I bought stuff from Gap online last time. They also have some skirts / dresses in the normal range at the moment with rollover waists that I found really useful and comfortable all the way through the very hot Qatar summer. I went to Debenhams, Mothercare. Bought a couple of more expensive work clothes but hardly wore them as just opted for comfort! Generally online ranges have more maternity options. Think I got my maternity swimsuit from next, will check!

sparkle we had a bit of a tv weekend, it is 40C+ here and with the ms there is no way I was going anywhere. I agree, after MS has passed I will make up for it (yeah, yeah).

shinysparklythings · 17/05/2015 08:27

waiting on mine it said to fill in pages 2-7 which doesn't help you! Fill in all your names and past medical history. I would leave height and weight for them to do at your appt. at the appt my mw basically entered all I'd filled in onto the computer system. Did my height and weight, and then tried to take bloods but my veins weren't playing. Talked about where I wanted to give birth not really any options here, one hospital or at home spoke a bit about exercise, seatbelts, antenatal classes.

I need some new leggings or footless tights to wear under my dresses at work. I was in size 14 before and now my size 16 ones are uncomfy! Going to a shopping outlet today after our proper shopping so might be able to pick up a few bits it next outlet etc.

chopsface · 17/05/2015 08:40

I've filled in my own weight and height. I put my weight from when I first took a test so she can see how much weight in carbs I've already put on! Lol! Need to buy some tippex today as silly me didn't read some of the questions properly and I don't want to look like a right knob Hmm

Dreading going back to work tomorrow after my 2 weeks off :-( early mornings, busy busy... People getting suspicious because I can't do certain tasks anymore... Luckily I don't have 'work clothes' to buy too as I just wear normal stuff with a lab coat on top!

shinysparklythings · 17/05/2015 08:56

Ah chops back when I worked in a chemistry lab the first clue that someone was of was their avoidance of certain tasks. However, if like my lab was it is male dominated then they prob won't twig.

WaitingForEgg · 17/05/2015 09:30

Chops I have an assessment in our Uni lab in August so will def be showing then, so my lab coat won't fit anymore! Definitely not buying a big lab coat for one day so gotta work out what i'll do there... haha
Thanks for advice, think ill just fill it all and then she can do an updated one on the day, i have already started gaining even though i'm only 9 weeks. I's really depressing reading the pregnancy books where they advise no weight gain at this stage, they obviously haven't seen what i've been eating!

rowemeister · 17/05/2015 09:31

Hello ladies! I'm so glad I have found this board and would love to join in!

My stats are:
Age 35 (again, bringing up average age but I have been having fertility treatment for many years)
1st baby
Booked in: 12th May
EDD: 26th December
Location: Stockport

Haven't told anyone yet as had a miscarriage a few years ago so desperately waiting on my 12 week scan date.

ChandlersFarang · 17/05/2015 10:37

Welcome Rowe!! And massive congratulations - sounds like you've been through a lot but you're doing very well to have come this far! There's a few of us on here that went through long periods of infertility so you're in good company GrinGrin

Jebel - you have my sympathy, it's fucking roasting in Thailand as well, hottest season here and so humid! Everything stinks, I can't go for a walk, doing a tiny task knackers you out immediately, blah blah. Roll on my move home!!

shiny - HOW did your friend not know she was pregnant until she gave birth and then it happen again?!?! Aside from feeling nothing did she not show at all either time? Mental!!! Shock

My 'forgiving' high-waisted shorts were so tight when sitting down earlier I had to unbutton them... Not impressed! Have got some floaty things to wear in the meantime but am still keeping up the gym and weights etc so I don't lose too much muscle in my arms and stuff. I really don't mind my belly expanding but I don't want the rest of me going the same way... It's a seriously slippery slope!! Haha!! GrinGrinGrin

WaitingForEgg · 17/05/2015 10:48

Welcome Rowe! Do you have a date for your 12 week scan yet?

Jcandy · 17/05/2015 11:00

Hi all my 12 week scan is booked for 1st June and I'm in Derbyshire if anyone could add it to the stats please Smile

I've lost 2 pounds this week which I suppose shouldn't be a surprise since I've been vomiting but I think it's the only time I've eaten utter rubbish and lost weight Confused Feeling a little better today though which obviously makes me worried

I don't envy you at all Chandlers! It's been lovely here but I've not been good unless I'm just the right temperature so no idea how you're coping!

Jebel · 17/05/2015 11:03

Welcome Rowe! I had many years of fertility treatment too, I think I am the old lady here!

Chandlers it is hideous isn't it being pg in the heat. Fortunately the humidity doesn't usually kick in until July but the last 2 days we have had sandstorms so it is yucky. Such a great choice going to Thailand this week for more heat, hopefully there will be some breeze and at least no dust!

waiting don't stress about it, I found weeks 14-24 were the best for eating healthily and exercising. They also say you aren't supposed to gain in last couple of weeks but I put on about 4kgs then! It is wonderful after birth when you literally lose 12kgs in a week.

I have just found my bag of old maternity clothes, I have lost 2 stone since then so not sure how well they will fit but don't want to buy more when I am not working. And I also found the bags of tiny baby clothes.... so cute, feel quite emotional. Don't buy any baby clothes, I was given more than DD could possibly wear and anyway had her in sleep suits for the first 6 weeks!

WaitingForEgg · 17/05/2015 11:29

Jebel I had an enormous bacon sandwich for breakfast... so I may moan about my weight gain but I am truly doing nothing about it haha! My nausea is finally starting to ease up now so I am hoping I can get back to exercising, which should help a lot

Fizzie100 · 17/05/2015 11:36

2 cinammon and raisin bagels over here...oops. Nausea continues...eugh. Booking 12 week scan in tomorrow, hopefully not too long to wait. Was in John Lewis yesterday looking for totally non baby related things but may have swerved into buggy cot territory by totaly non accident for a v quick nosey. To those who already have children when did you start buying things?

Jebel · 17/05/2015 11:56

waiting I am drooling, we can only buy pork in one shop in the whole country (the booze shop, you need a licence and approval from your employer!) and it is crap stuff and miles away from my house. My cheese sandwich feels very inadequate.

Fizzie also love bagels, yum, might have to send DH off to buy some now. I timed all my purchases with my last visit to the UK before the baby arrived so must have been about 24 weeks, would have left it later as I was a bit paranoid whereas this time I want to get sorted now! Have wasted hours researching whether to get a double buggy or not (would def buy in the UK but prob not worth it here as all mall shopping and nowhere to walk outside)!

rowemeister · 17/05/2015 12:09

Me too on the breakfast front only I feel as though I'm turning into a Hobbit - need a second breakfast every day! But at least it stops the nausea for a few minutes!

HariboBrenshnio · 17/05/2015 12:41

We had our reassurance scan this morning. Baby is healthy and wiggly and measuring a few days bigger which can only be a good thing! So I'm 9+5 and have my booking in tomorrow.

On the food front, I'm currently celebrating with a McDonald's! Have been totally off food so makes a nice change.

chopsface · 17/05/2015 12:44

waiting when does your uni course finish? Will you be done and graduated before baby?! Shock

welcome Rowe! I'm also an ancient 35 year old and its taken several years to get this far too! Is your bean the result of your fertility treatment? We were on the waiting list but got preg naturally! I'm also now a hobbit!!

candy are you still signed off work? Wish I was, feel like shite still.

shiny unfortunately I work with mostly women who have already been suspecting and gossiping behind my back! One of the girls who does know was asked if I was preg by some of the other girls. She said she hadn't a clue lol! I'm glad I've had the last 2 weeks off but ive still another 3 to hide it before 12weeks!

chopsface · 17/05/2015 12:47

Cross post! Congrats haribo! Great scan news! And joining me and waiting for booking in! Are your dh's coming?

rowemeister · 17/05/2015 12:51

Hi chopsface. Yes, a frozen embryo remaining from a fresh IVF cycle. Strange but amazing to think that the wee bean has been frozen in time! That's fantastic news that you got preg naturally beforehand.

MissMrsMummy · 17/05/2015 15:21

Hi everyone,

Just been reading back. Glad so many of your symptoms are easing off! I think mine have just started to get worse but I'm only 7 weeks today. I've felt sick most of the day and am in bed! Have been for hours! Only planning to get up for dinner.

Re: bras, I have some Tesco non-wired which are comfy, and a 2 pack of New Look sleep bras for £9.99 (online).

chops we have a similar physique! I often buy larger clothes and have the waist taken in. Gap have some good maternity clothes (online).

Here are my stats for the spreadsheet:

MissMrsMummy
Age 31
Baby #1
Booking in: Thurs 21st
Viability scan: Tues 26th
12 week scan: TBC
EDD: 31st December

Withalittlesparkle · 17/05/2015 15:48

Fizzie with DC1 we didn't buy anything until after the 12 week scan and even then that was only a mega sale! Everything else we waited until 20 weeks
