Noticed we were getting a bit full in the last thread! Roll up, roll up for more scanning, puking, worrying and other distractions to take us through the first trimester! Grin

Lovely Dec mums, I'm hijacking from the Jan babies thread. 8 weeks and sicker by the week we are. Please tell me you're all less sick by the end of the first trimester!

Withalittlesparkle · 02/06/2015 22:52

High B&Wcat Grin I'm afraid I'm still awful (13+1), DS1 I was being sick three times a day till 20 weeks BUT there must be a reason why they say things get better at the end of your first trimester!!

ChandlersFarang · 03/06/2015 02:06

Things have definitely got better for me! I'm now 11+4 and probably do a quick vom first thing in the morning every other day? But it happens super fast and then after that I feel completely normal all day, go to the gym, eat normally, etc. I'm even staying awake till 10pm now! This is all in stark contrast to weeks 7-9 when I basically felt nauseous 24/7, had very specific food tastes, and was asleep by 8:30pm every night. It does get better!! Am hoping the morning vom will end soon but tbh it really doesn't bother me. Smile

Envy Chandlers still nauseous 24/7 and unable to anything on an evening after I've struggled through work. Nearly vommed on bus home again last night.

So black it might get better, it might not!

Welcome s1mmy

Already forgotten what was said on previous page by who.... Blush sorry x

Blackandwhitecat3 · 03/06/2015 07:31

Thanks guys .... I think! Hope you're all feeling tip top soon and getting that glow Smile

BabsUnited · 03/06/2015 08:08

Hi everyone. Hardly keeping up with thread (and life in general to be honest) - been feeling so ill. Nausea finally abated last week, replaced by a feeling I'm on the edge of flu. Cold, shivery, massive headache, tired. After 3 days the headache is just going. Although I mainly work from home I've been sleeping most days HmmBlush

Scan date is 17th June. Have consultant appt tomorrow in London then seeing local consultant after scan in Essex.

WonkyDonkBonk · 03/06/2015 09:14

Welcome S1mmy it must be annoying to have your due date bumped back.

I had my booking in yesterday, it was pretty uneventful, she took bloods, gave me my very own wee jug to keep and tried to talk me in to a home birth. I'm not sure about a home birth, this is dc2 so its not completely new to me but every birth is different.

Still feeling quite sick but not as bad as at 8 and 9 weeks.

TheBabyFacedAssassin · 03/06/2015 09:19

Hello everyone!!

Apologies for being awol, after feeling smug last week that my nausea had eased off it has come back...as bad as ever too. And of course browsing mn makes it worse!

Hello to all the newbies!! Our band of merry preggos is growing by the day!!

ThreeBeanRap · 03/06/2015 10:12

Sweets my 20 week scan is 9th July if you wouldn't mind adding that! I have my 16 week midwife appointment next week which is making me feel like time's really moving on, it's definitely started going more quickly since the 12 week point!

Good luck to all those having scans today. I can't believe some of us already know the sex!

chopsface · 03/06/2015 10:51

My goodness bean you're steaming ahead of some of us!

I'm off to the mall to try and get some bras, don't think many or even any of the shops up there have maternity sections any more. But anyway, without a bump I'd feel like a fraud!

Fairydogmother · 03/06/2015 15:58

Bean it is going a little faster now isn't it! Thank god lol. You must be a similar due date to me

Fizzie100 · 03/06/2015 16:58

Just had 12 week scan! And baby waved at us! Been brought forward to 16th December. I cried so much it was just amazing to see it wriggling away. Hope everyone is ok, will catch up on thread once we've told DPs parents they're going to be grandparents!!!!

Gosh SO sorry about the multiple posts I think my phone is going crazy!

Metalhead · 03/06/2015 17:18

Congrats on your scan fizzie!

We've had some bad news today, my blood results came back as high risk for Down's with a 1 in 85 chance. My beta HCG was absolutely through the roof, more than 9 times what it should be! At least that explains why I'm still feeling rough. So I've booked a private Harmony test for Tuesday as we didn't want to risk any of the invasive tests straight away. Fx that will give us a low risk result... just feel absolutely gutted, really didn't expect that call after the NT measurement seemed fine at the scan.

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 03/06/2015 17:21

Try not to worry too much metal head. Although 1 in 85 is classed as a high risk there are still 84 chances baby will be ok iyswim, but of course I understand why you will be concerned until you have solid facts.

I have felt really awful today massive headache and nauseous. Got my scan tommorow very nervous

TreeSparrow · 03/06/2015 17:39

Congrats fizzie.

Sorry to hear the bad news Metalhead. That must be very worrying, and a bit of a roller coaster emotionally. Keep us updated.

I had my scan today and am very relieved to report all is well.

Metalhead · 03/06/2015 17:39

I know sharon, we're trying to stay positive and look at it as only a 1.2% chance of baby actually having Down's, but it's hard not to panic. It'll be another very long 2-3 weeks until we get the Harmony results.

Good luck with your scan tomorrow.

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 03/06/2015 17:44

That's the worst thing waiting. I'm keeping everything crossed for you.
