December 2015 #3 - riding out the first trimester!!

Noticed we were getting a bit full in the last thread! Roll up, roll up for more scanning, puking, worrying and other distractions to take us through the first trimester!

Wow, it's been ages since I've been on mn properly, and so many good scans!

We're on holiday in Scotland at the moment, survived the family wedding lastweek, mainly by sleeping till I had to head out, but then missed most of the ceremony, as I got a shredded tyre about 8 miles from the venue, so had to sort out a new one before doing the 80 mile drive home later in the day! The aa were great thankfully! But all that helped distract me from any nausea and tiredness!

Still waiting for my scan, it'll be a week tomorrow, nicely the day after we get home from holiday, so just one more day to survive at work before I can come clean about why I've been 2 hours late most days! The timing of this holiday has been great, though it has been an effort going out to do stuff with dh and the kids!

Assasin your scan story raised a tear, it must be so comforting to have seen that everything is good so far, and to have a great team looking after you.

I am def starting to have a wee bit of a bump but it's well cushioned so i just look like I'm gaining wait to anybody else!
How much weight have people put on so far? I'm 13 weeks and I've gained 4/5 pounds. Worried I'm going to be a real porker soon!

@ Claire I've so far gained 3lb but I feel like I've gained a stone :-(

Did put on a few lbs initially but weighed myself just now and I weigh 0.2 more than when I got my bfp! Have tried to eat less crisps and biscuits as snacks, opting for dried fruit instead. Maybe that's why the sickness has come back!?

I'm desperate to start showing too! I may not have put on weight but I know I'm flabbier now as I've really not been able to exercise! Feel fat and bleurch.

I'm going to sound appalling but I've put on 5kg. This first trimester I've done zero exercise and have eaten enough junk to last a lifetime. I'm normally a size 10-12 and still am for the most part but do have a large, round pot belly to show for my gluttony. I haven't put it on anywhere else! I look 6 months pregnant

I weigh the same as when I found out but I've been vomiting continually for the past 7 weeks. But I predict things going pear shaped (or even me-more so than usual) as each day I feel a bit more human each day I am thinking of food'

Jebel, so exciting to know already and congratulations on the normal harmony results, what a great anniversary gift.

In regards to showing, my tummy is sticking out more but I just look like I've put weight on, can't wait for a proper bump. I've put about 3lb on so far and nearly 12 weeks. I wear high waisted jeans though most days and they are getting tight towards the end of the day, wanted to hold off a few weeks, might get away with my black maxi skirt of weather is good.

First scan tomorrow, glad it's first thing so not long to wait after getting up. I have booked the day off so if everything is okay we are going to go and buy first baby grow or something together

Evening all just popping into say hi been very busy lately. Congratulations for great scans and jebel so jealous you know the sex! We're having a private scan at 16 weeks to find out as hubby can't wait any longer still have to wait a week tomorrow for our 12 week scan.

As for bump definitely got a little bump and have felt Bubbles down there though this is my 3rd so maybe able to feel earlier. Still feel sick and tired nipples are incredibly sore I feel like this pregnancy is the hardest by far. Haven't put on any weight yet maintaining my pre pregnancy weight so happy with that but will defo be buying maternity wear after 12 week scan. Anyway boring update from me good luck to those with scans this week x

I've lost weight :( I'm 3.5 kg lighter than when I got my bfp! I've only thrown up a couple of times. My boobs have gone up a few cup sizes and I have got the start of a bump?!?

Hopefully now into second trimester I'll start gaining. Had scan last week and bean was fine.

Not looking forward to being back at work today! My leggings are cutting into bump already :(

Morning all. I've been away for a week with no wifi So just finished catching up! 1 Week and 1 Day till my first Scan - Cannot wait. I weighed myself this Morning and I'm back to the weight I was when I got my BFP. But I weighed myself a couple of Weeks ago and I had put on weight. So recon I've lost about 2-3 lbs? Not surprising the amount I have been throwing up recently! I have PM'd my Email Address for Facebook to Afloat so just waiting on a invite to meet you lovely people in person Good luck to anyone having Scans this Week!

According to the scales I've lost about 5lbs since I got my BFP but I definitely don't feel like it!! I think that's all alcohol calories anyway...

I've also lost weight, about 2kg, although haven't been able to fit into my jeans for over a month, how does that work!? No baby bump really, although think my tummy shape is changing. Just looks like I've had too many cakes! Haven't bought any maternity clothes yet as don't feel like I'm big enough to need it, but maybe I should go and see what there is.

I'm 13weeks and 4 days today, and still feeling horrendous - constant nausea, sickness, exhaustion. Really hope it eases off soon, it's getting harder and harder to keep working and as I'm self-employed I don't have much choice or the option to take sick days :(

Welcome to the new girls, and happy Monday to everyone

Congrats to all on the positive scans, and fx to those with scans coming up soon!!

As for bumps, I am like treesparrow at the moment - big pot belly (despite being same weight I was when conceived!), which I think is down to a combination of eating unhealthy snacks over the first month or so, feeling incredibly bloated and constipated, and not running as much as I used to. So I think I probably look pretty pregnant, especially in the evenings, but I'm not sure how much of it's actually baby bump just yet....

First day back at work today!! Not too bad everyone has been lovely (they don't know what's wrong) I feel awful being so vague! Finishing at 1330 today as midwife visiting later

Week tomorrow until mine! Can't come soon enough! Feeling a lot better today after write off weekend. Got some tummy pains but hoping is constipation rather than baby worries, will keep an eye on it.
