Noticed we were getting a bit full in the last thread! Roll up, roll up for more scanning, puking, worrying and other distractions to take us through the first trimester! Grin

missmrs great news about your early scan! But I hate to inform you.... No time doesn't speed up after an early scan!

ineedsomeinspiration · 30/05/2015 17:09

I think id risk a pink steak in a restaurant i knew well.

If anyone is interested Aldi have some maternity stuff in their baby section at the moment. Nothing posh but ok for basic. Got some knickers, a couple of nursing bras that will be good for sleeping in and a couple of tops. I also got a v pillow for sleeping once i have a big bump and feeding baby once here was a bargain at 5.99.

claremccrory59 · 30/05/2015 19:40

Been exhausted all day so I've sent hubby out for dinner without me. Currently eating peanut butter on toast watching one born every minute repeats - much better fun! Smile

ifonlyitwasnotme · 30/05/2015 20:34

Evening, Sorry haven't been able to post my tablet only lets me view messages and not post them think it has been dropped too many times
Had my scan on Tuesday, and due date is now 30th November, am I allowed to stay here please?

Great to see everyone's scans seem to be going well.

Babs sorry to hear about your eldest must be tough for you. Wishing you all the best for this one.

ThreeBeanRap · 30/05/2015 22:10

I have started to notice my jeans feeling tight towards the end of the day now and feel really uncomfortably full if I have a normal sized meal, I'm having to eat little and often. Would love to put off maternity shopping for a few more weeks yet but not sure I'll have anything I can still fit into!

ChandlersFarang · 31/05/2015 05:24

Jebel I've been worrying about dengue as well! It's not quite the season for it yet anyway, sure you'll be OK. Were they evening bites or day bites?

Hells - glad I hear your test results came back good!

I'm currently laying around a pool in a 32DD bikini top which is desperately trying to cover my now 34FF tits. And failing. Am so self-conscious! Get me back to the UK where I can finally buy something that fits, lol! The maternity section of the expat mothercare AND M&S in Bangkok only had maternity bras that went up to a D cup. How fucking helpful! Confused

Jebel · 31/05/2015 05:41

Chandlers that made me laugh so much, I have also had boobs exploding out of my bikini top. People will think you are a porn star. Bites have been at dusk which I believe could be any sort of mosquito. I guess just be alert in case of fever. The deet-free repellant doesn't seem to do any good.

Hells glad your results were good.

I got an sms from my doc last night that says my Harmony test is normal. Yippee! I wasn't expecting to hear until Thursday. I haven't told DH yet as am waiting for Doc to text back with gender and I want to tell him both at once. It is our wedding anniversary so nice present!

Hummingbird15 · 31/05/2015 08:04

Oh Jebel that's very exciting news! We should get our harmony results on Friday - they said they'd only be in touch earlier if it's 'bad news' (their words not mine) so I'm really hoping not to hear from them before then!

Jebel · 31/05/2015 08:15

And it's a boy for us! Was so sure I was having another girl! Didn't mind at all but nice to have one of each! Can't believe I know already!

Hummingbird harmony is amazing, just got the whole report, hope it will come down in cost and get made more widely available in the future.

chopsface · 31/05/2015 08:45

Yay for normal harmony test jebel! And I can't believe you know the sex already! How do they do it? I'm not having the harmony test, £550 is just too much money. It's appropriately 100years until I find out the sex lol!

Woken up feeling queasy chops, bleurch.

Have a nice Sunday all x

shinysparklythings · 31/05/2015 09:03

Yay jebel as if you know already.

We don't want to know what we are having, I like the idea of an extra surprise.

chops sorry to hear you are feeling rough. X

TreeSparrow · 31/05/2015 11:05

Can a another newbie join? I'm 12wks and am nervously awaiting our scan on Wednesday. It's very late afternoon so the waiting will be torture!

I had an early dating scan at 9wks as I wasn't sure of timings and all looked well but it's not stopping me worrying. This is my first pregnancy and really struggled with crippling exhaustion and sinusitis up until about 8wks. I'm really hoping it's all been worth it.

Hope everyone is having a nice, relaxing weekend.

chopsface · 31/05/2015 11:28

Welcome sparrow! Good luck with your scan on Wednesday! Its my first too so I get you with the worrying part! Im 11 weeks today and been feeling my most tired/sickest the last few days. Have you had much sickness?

Fizzie100 · 31/05/2015 12:01

Morning ladies,
Having brekkie in bed this morning, croissants Nutella and orange juice Mmmm. Don't intend on doing much today. Anyone else having really bad Vivid dreams??? I had a really traumatic one last night , think it must be anxiety ahead of scan this week. Hope everyone has a lovely relaxing Sunday!

Withalittlesparkle · 31/05/2015 12:02

Fizzie I still haven't forgiven my DH for cheating on me in my dream!

Fizzie100 · 31/05/2015 12:05

Jebel that's so exciting! Wow! You're having a boy! We're not having the harmony test as its a bit pricey for us, hoping that all will be ok not having the test. We are not going to find out the gender - something me and DP are in agreement with. How about everyone else? Will you be finding out?

TreeSparrow · 31/05/2015 12:35

I've felt nauseous every evening but only puked once whilst trying to prepare dinner (cutting up raw chicken) and a few close calls where I managed to control it. I've been lucky otherwise.

I'm also having very vivid and not very nice dreams! I dreamt last night that my mum was really horrible to me! I'm not sleeping well generally and have to get up to pee at least three times each night.

TheBabyFacedAssassin · 31/05/2015 13:01

Afternoon all!
I'm on my weekend away with dh and we were watching the marathon that dh was supposed to be doing before he got injured. We were standing at the finish line watching the people come over and I was seriously fighting back the tears!! I was just so happy and proud of the finishers! HmmThese pregnancy hormones are crazy.

Fizzie100 · 31/05/2015 14:16

Who is the best person to DM about Facebook and what info do you need?

Withalittlesparkle · 31/05/2015 14:22

You can DM me, I should be able to do it later when I'm on the laptop

Cheshirehello79 · 31/05/2015 14:28

Hi all,

New to the thread but was great read. I had my 12 weeks scan on the 20th May and was exactly 12 weeks the baby was so active - was even hard to get a clear pic but was good to see ( magic) - due date now 3rd dec . Really sorry to hear your story honey( my hear goes to you).

Can't wait for 20 weeks scan now but not sure if I want to find out if it's a girl or boy.

Has anyone started buying stuff yet?

ChandlersFarang · 31/05/2015 16:18

Welcome Tree & Cheshire!!GrinGrin

Jebel - it's the day biters you need to worry about so am confident you're fine!! And WOW on finding out the gender!!! Amazing news. A boy after having a girl - that's surely the dream?! One of each would do nicely for me. We can't wait to find out the gender - I think we will find out at 15/16 weeks when I have my first scan at UCLH on return to the UK! Eep.

Bought my first maternity items today from ASOS (20% off everything today - the site has crashed since I think!!). Got their maternity essentials pack for £39.99 (2x leggings, dress, long and short vests, all in black). Also treated myself to my fave strapless wonderbra in my new eye-popping size, and a bikini!! The floodgates for preggo shopping are now officially open, lol!! GrinGrin Although saying that I have no intention of buying anything else for a while. Moving home in June is going to be pricy! I also want to get my ombré redone but need to check with the hairdressers that it's OK for a preggo to do. Fingers crossed. Could do with me head looking nice whilst the rest of me inflates like a balloon!! ShockShock

hellsbells552 · 31/05/2015 16:54

Jebel! A little boy!! Awww wow. I'm so jealous you know already, I'm definitely going to find out. I did want a girl because I grew up in an all-female household and I wouldn't know what to do with a boy [plus don't seem to be keen on any names!] but in the last week I've really come around to the idea... And I would still make him do all the stuff I would have a girl do [crafts, musical instrument, ballet, etc. :-P]
So I think I'll be relieved if it's a girl but excited if it's a boy!

I have bought loads of new clothes - mainly because as soon as I eat I inflate like a giant balloon! Currently living in these amazing Topshop pjs: www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/product/clothing-427/maternity-456/maternity-lingerie-nightwear-639/maternity-stripe-pyjama-set-4282507?bi=1&ps=20
Also got gap maternity jeans from ebay [under bump] but I overheat in them at the moment, so bought some regular jersey dresses from Fat Face and maternity tights from ebay - sorted!

Hummingbird15 · 31/05/2015 17:58

Ooh Jebel how exciting! We should find out the sex of our bean bean on friday - although saying this, there's a train strike threatened for Friday and if it goes ahead we won't be able to get to the appointment Confused

babyfaced I have to work at the London Marathon every year and always get emotional over what everyone is achieving!

Hope you've all had a nice Sunday.

Cheshirehello79 · 31/05/2015 18:38

Aww thanks chandlers - I bought the maternity pack too :-) I also treated myself to champneys blissful bump spa package as a weekly treat . Can't wait to start showing properly as at the moment I just feel bloated.

Has any dec mums started showing yet?
