Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 27th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

I completely get the guilt thing JC, and I say this knowing I would find it hard to do, but there is nothing to feel guilty for. Please try next to feel pressured by them and do what you need to.

Glad things are better for you and DH la, get him on some chores to make up for it.

Your men are fussy eaters gaggia and wil, mine just likes food! Whatever it looks like, he will eat it! Unless it's bacon, then he's out. There would never be a wasted dessert, that's for sure!

day off together today. Starts with whopping cough jab, GP for iron tablets and then hopefully bra shopping as I am busting out! Might suggest pram shopping since we are in town but depends on time as I want a nap!

Purpleball · 11/05/2015 09:36

I get the guilt thing too JC. The thing I'm struggling with is that I'm not being rubbish I can't help it. I apologised to DH for being lazy the other day and he said you're not lazy you're pregnant. Poor bloke has spent the holiday so far lugging bags around and listening to me moan about hills!

La it sounds like you're all sorted with DH. I'm sure once the baby arrives he will get shocked into being more responsible Smile
The list is on my laptop so I'll post it later.

Dulcet have a fun shopping trip. Hope you get your pram and bra Smile I got some extenders from Amazon so mine are lasting a bit longer.

JC everyone's pregnancy is different. Some days I felt horrendous and would debate whether to take day off, other days I felt ok. But some people are so bad that they can't function at work in which case why try to struggle in? My friend had hyperemesis thingy same as kate Middleton and had to be signed off for most of her pregnancy.

Nice! Day off dulcet! I need to bra shop too. I can't wait to be on long train journey this afternoon so I have no choice but to chill.

Purpleball · 11/05/2015 09:37

Ohh changing mat, we are going for the mothercare over the cot one that has ridges so they can't roll off

OP posts:
ChatEnOeuf · 11/05/2015 09:43

Oh, JC take some time away. The exhaustion doesn't last forever and you'll be better off not forcing yourself in only to come home early. They will be fine, and it doesn't matter a jot who else is pregnant and who takes what time off - you and your little bean are what's important here.

La I'm so pleased your DH seems to get it. Long may it continue! DD is fabulous (and devilish in equal proportions!) - family park picnic was great, she played football with DH and some other kids and I relaxed with some brilliant 0% raspberry Hoegaarden. Friend's leaving party was lovely but a bit sad - she doesn't want to go either but that's expat life I guess.

Your men are strange folk Ga, Wil. My DH loves a tasting menu, though would equally devour a rare steak frites as well.

I was given a fancy changing mat. I have no idea where the cover for it is, after washing it the first time DD peed on it, it never made it back on. It's the same as all the others underneath. Get a couple of cheap ones with pretty pictures on, and one that rolls up small for the changing bag.

Hope you're feeling better Toast. Paracetamol is fine, as is hot squash, steam inhaling and honey/lemon. None of which fully cut the mustard but they are better than nothing.

Lots of BHs last night, DH getting twitchy - this was how the week before DD arrived started. TinyChat still facing the wrong way to come out though, so hopefully nothing happening just yet Shock. Also, he's taking the nice suitcase on his work jolly conference so I don't have a hospital bag packed yet.

Fattycow · 11/05/2015 10:15

How the hell am I number 10 on the due list? Shock

DulcetMoans · 11/05/2015 10:24

Ouchie!! The needle was so big, and the nurse just stabbed it in there - barely had a chance to look away. She had it in before she had finished saying 'are you ready?'.

Don't let him take the posh bag chat! You need it more. Do you think it was just regular BH, nothing bad? That baby need to stay out for the allocated slot - how far away is that now?

Don't look at the list fatty, it's scary!

Fleurchamp · 11/05/2015 10:39

Don't say that about the needle dulcet I have my jab tomorrow Shock

I am so tired. I have had a nap both days over the weekend but no such luck today. I have 6 weeks of work left, two weeks holiday in that so effectively 4 working weeks left but rather than slowing down work are panicking and throwing loads of stuff at me that needs to be done before I go. I am worried I am going to make a mistake as my head just isn't in it. I just want to be at home Smile

DulcetMoans · 11/05/2015 11:33

So sorry fleur! It doesn't hurt, she just did it so quick that I didn't have the chance to take in what was happening. You'll be fine - you just have to get through it!

Saw a van for 'horse massage' at the docs, thought of you la. Maybe you can train for that and do horse rub downs on the side!

Lookingforadvice123 · 11/05/2015 12:01

Jc don't want to lecture you but you really should get signed off and then be off formally. I hate to say it but your employers will take you more seriously and if you can't manage a full day you're clearly not well enough to be in right now.

I work for the public sector too and people do take the piss, the person I line manage in particular, and if she was coming in every day but leaving early, but yet hadn't been signed off, I would be very Hmm and insist she goes to the doctors. Even being pregnant myself, if she was doing that I would think she wasn't so ill to warrant the doctor signing her off. So please do! You must be struggling and taking a chunk of time off will do you good Flowers

ChatEnOeuf · 11/05/2015 12:03

Sixth on the list, Dulcet - six weeks from EDD! Think it was just the regular annoying kind. Didn't come to anything anyways Grin

Fleur you can tell my obstetrician is married to a paediatrician, my whooping cough jab was a tiny little needle.

LaLaLaaaa · 11/05/2015 12:08

Fatty I hate to say this but you're actually 9th! Grin

PixieChops · 11/05/2015 12:30

I agree with Looking, you may not think it but it'll look better if you're just off rather than going in for a few hours to go home early.
La glad your DH is behaving himself now and he keeps it up!
My OH has taken the day off today to look after me because we found out my grandad died early this morning. I'm gutted and very up and down, I'm glad he's not suffering anymore (had emphysema and kept getting infection on top of infection) but I can't believe I'll never see him again. I've been very lucky that I've never lost anyone dear to me before and this is the first time at 29. I keep thinking I'm coping too well and then feel guilty and then start crying again. Confused

WilHarlot · 11/05/2015 12:48

So sorry to hear that Pixie, hope you're ok Thanks .

Haha Fatty, even sooner than you think.

It's not that MrWil wouldn't like the tasting menu, it's just that he'd see it as a snack. He isn't fussy at all, just a greedy beggar!

LaLaLaaaa · 11/05/2015 12:56

Awww I'm so sorry pixie Flowers glad your dp is with you

My dh loves him a taster menu but would likely get a pizza on way home too!

Fleurchamp · 11/05/2015 13:02

Agreed, you shouldn't be struggling in. Get a Drs note so they take you seriously.

I am only in this week and then have two weeks off - bliss!

So far I have had one day off sick during pregnancy and that was for my sinuses, and was on a midwife day anyway so she instructed me to rest. I think I have got off lightly with symptoms though.

At the moment, if I didn't work so close to home I am not sure I would be going in every day. I feel so tired and short of breath. I have even started taking the full dose of iron tablets to see if they help (they don't). Today I feel heavy and cumbersome. It's an effort to lug myself around.

Have come home for lunch and am sprawled laying in the garden on a heap of cushions Grin

Meeting a friend tonight for a catch up. We don't see each other very often and she hasn't seen me with a bump - think she will be pretty shocked at the size of me. Bless her, she is meeting me at a station in London which is convenient for me but a bit of a trek for her so that I don't have to get the tube. Also we are getting pizza which is my current food of choice Grin

Fleurchamp · 11/05/2015 13:03

Sorry to hear about your granddad pixie Flowers

Lookingforadvice123 · 11/05/2015 13:33

So sorry about your grandad pixie

Jcandy · 11/05/2015 13:48

Sorry to hear about your grandad pixie, you'll go through a whole range of emotions in the next few days weeks and everyone of them is right for you so don't feel guilty!

Just had my booking in appointment. Scan is set for 1st June so can't wait for that! Midwife said I should take the next week off and see how I feel and if I'm still the same then get a doctors note. So basically the same as you guys. I'm going to speak to my managers and see what they say but I think some time off to rest will do me good. It's just making me stressed which isn't helpful!

WilHarlot · 11/05/2015 14:37

Good news JC.

I should be tidying but am watching crap tv and eating ice lollies.

LaLaLaaaa · 11/05/2015 14:42

That's great news JC it always feels more reassuring when you get confirmation from midwife that you're doing the right thing.

Am on train - managed to make it across on tube fine with my little suitcase. Had to ask for seat on tube, got daggers from the very young and fit man occupying it. Got on train at Euston and some bloody woman has just tried to put her giant suitcase up as a I was walking past and whopped me in my bump Confused

She was still trying to push it up and into me!!! I had to say please can you be careful I'm pregnant and you're pushing into my bump! She says 'oh I didn't notice' - but even if I wasn't preggers it would've been pretty sore!

Anyways lots of nice people tutted at her and asked me if I was ok. Am now comfortable in my seat and baby is kicking away so hopefully everything is fine. Phew!

LaLaLaaaa · 11/05/2015 15:33

Just ate whole bag of sour minions Blush

WilHarlot · 11/05/2015 15:43

what a knob La. What are sour minions?

LaLaLaaaa · 11/05/2015 15:50

these!

Purpleball · 11/05/2015 15:59

Oh Pixie I'm so sorry about your grandad. Glad you've got DP with you and hope you're ok, well as ok as you can be Thanks

La, bloody hell what a stupid woman. How could she miss your bump! Glad you stuck up for yourself Smile
Hope the rest of your journey is less dramatic!

JC glad your mw went well. I think a rest will do you good Smile

I've found someone to do a deep tissue massage on Thursday to sort out my sciatica. Had some round ligament type pain today a couple of times when I moved awkwardly. I'll mention that to him too

We've been to the beach and people watched. It was lovely seeing all the toddlers playing esp one who fell over every 3 steps and picked himself up again. He did it for ages and we were laughing! Obviously wouldn't have laughed if he'd hurt himself or been upset.

Last time we were at the beach was just after the MC last year and I found all the families with little ones upsetting. This time I just thought it will be us next year Smile
