Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 27th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

hi all. just checking back in to say thanks for the advice yesterday. DM is coming over in the morning to help me sort through it and take over to gets what we will keep.

la I know posting on fb group was a fail but I think you should post the list as a link on op on future threads like the stats list.

WilHarlot · 05/05/2015 01:09

Do people who aren't on mumsnet use mooncups? I've only ever heard of them here. Not sure I could get on with them.

Lemon it depends what you want to stick up there! You'll be able to use whatever you want by the first time you get a period but don't use anything internal while all the post birth bleeding is going on (4-6 weeks ish). If you're lucky it'll be ages before your first period.

Which bag La?!

LaLaLaaaa · 05/05/2015 05:57

I've only ever seen them at glasto wil and thought they were quite minging. Didn't realise people used them til I came on here!

Feel terrible, haven't slept very well. I can't seem to be able to breathe properly when I'm lying down. Does anyone else get this? Very breathless and like my chest is tight.

Got room fan on to help but still struggling.

Lil I can post it on intro post no worries! I've put it on Facebook but on a post as a comment not as new post. I freaked out a bit last time as I got a load of people starting to give me advice about it which is nice but it got too much and it made me anxious.

The list isn't mine by the way newbies, it was pulled together from all the info people put on here about recommendations for what to buy and it's been edited and honed since then.

LaLaLaaaa · 05/05/2015 06:00

Lil that's good that your DM understands and is helping you.

Wil there are 2 I like - the noa and the nina. Mmmm...posh bags

Hobbit19 · 05/05/2015 07:24

Flippin eck, stupid cats are preparing me for motherhood by keeping me awake all night; jumping in through upstairs windows, scrapping with the Tom cat, howling like mentalists because the Tom cat tried to come through the cat flap. And then at 5 am I had to get up to drink orange juice and eat olives. PAH! (Good job I slept for pretty much 48 hours over the weekend, heh heh.)

teejayem · 05/05/2015 07:41

I've got six packs of boots reg mat pads and three slims, (all in 3 for 2) plus the giant ones for the car seat/mattress in case of waters explosion (more for Mr tee's reassurance than mine, it's not like we have an esp nice car). I need to pick up some Witch hazel for the pads to bung in fridge, but I am now under house arrest and Mr Tee has taken the car keys away from me :( spent four hours in A&E yesterday and although ankle isn't broken, they were quite keen to put me in a cast until delivery and I begged them not to and promised I would not walk on it AND use my crutches properly. Will post hilarious elephant foot on FB..fucking, fucking relaxin. This baby better just bloody fall out.
I got a bit precious with hospital bag and have put baby clothes in labelled zip bags, marked with size and contents, (two bags with complete outfits, inc hat, sleep suit and vest, one in newborn size and one a bit bigger then a bag with 2 new born vests, 2 newborn sleep suits, and then the same for the nex size up) this is more for Mr Tee's benefit again, as he'll probably be doing the dressing and I cannot be doing with him faffing about looking for sizes. I've also bagged and labelled some other bits I think I might need for labour (hair bands, lip balm, tea tree facial mist tart) so they are in grabbable bags. I might take a pic and post to illustrate as my poor painkiller addled brain isn't explaining very well!
Wrt to changing bag, we got one free with the Cosatto which is dead funky and Mr Tee's sis bought him a Bababing Daytripper deluxe which has more compartments than a bloody luggage hold in a 707. It looks like a laptop bag and he loves it. I'm still in my quest for the toadstool bag, I don't need it, but I just like them.
I haven't got any cellular blankets, largely because I don't want them in powder blue or white. I've found a company that sell them in brights, but think I might need to hang on till payday as CC bill was a bit of a gulp this month- similar to you fleur we have been collecting as much stuff as poss before my salary drops. I've got thee swaddle wraps and othe blankets, plus sleeping bags in various sizes and togs, so it's not a 911.
The Caboo arrived yesterday, I made Mr t model it with a teddy. It seems straightforward enough! The only bits I think I need now are nursing bras, work are buying me a baby gym, and then I think I'm going to wait until he arrives until I commit to a boob pump, as I seem to know lots of people who didn't use them. la this is how I felt when baby was all up in my ribs before he did a 180 and went head down, think he did this about 30 weeks eventually, but it was really uncomfortable when his head was in my diaphragm. I had to keep getting on all fours or walking around to try and make him move. Have you tried sleeping propped up a bit? Gravity might encourage him to move?

Mammoth post, eeek! - seriously impressed with the commitment to the ice cream cause on the FB page! :)

I never got on with a mooncup. It did leak, I don't know why but I just found it really awkward to deal with. I found it when I moved house, the rubber had perished and gone sticky so I threw it away.

Not looking forward to all this bleeding stuff. It sounds horrendous Sad

DoomDoc today Hmm followed by 20 week scan Grin
I've got my assertive head on and DH is coming with me.
I'm not taking any crap this time, if it's him again and he's the same I'm going to ask for a different doctor and threaten to not go back if I don't get one Angry

Bloody hell Tee! What have you been doing?
Yikes woman get installed on the sofa and stay there. Make sure your foot is elevated. Sounds like you need a carer Smile
Hope you're not too sore

teejayem · 05/05/2015 08:13

I didn't do anything :( turned it over weds night barefoot in kitchen. Then turned it over twice on Sunday walking on flat surface in proper walking trainers.
Hope it goes oaky purple, I'll reserve a special Jiffy bag just in case.

Purpleball · 05/05/2015 08:37

Oh poor you. My Mum did a similar thing and chipped a bone. She spent a few days in plaster before they gave her a boot thingy

Bloody hell tee! Owwwwwwwwwwch!

Pisghetti · 05/05/2015 08:53

Hope you get a nicer Dr Purple! Give BabyPurple a wave from the viroids Smile

Ouch Tee Shock hope the ankle improves with some rest. Icing the bugger will give a good excuse for many trips to the freezer.

I find tampons leak but my mooncup never did - guess it's horses for courses! Although I'm wondering now if mine will be big enough for my post baby fanjo Shock

WilHarlot · 05/05/2015 08:55

Haha sometimes they are more of a hindrance Tori. Good luck with scan.

Good luck at the app Purple. Bleeding post-birth isn't horrific if you have an ok delivery. It can be a bit difficult if you have had a big cut or something and you're very sore.

Tee sit on thy arse and do not move until baby arrives. Summon the ice cream elves.

I have the Nina La. It has been great although MrWil broke both clippy bits so now it won't hang on buggy. Must fix it. Do love the look of the yellow Noa though.

Purpleball · 05/05/2015 09:19

Maybe I should try a mooncup again. I used non applicator ones for years then found they started leaking and switched to applicator.
One of the worst things about the MC was having to wear pads, it made the whole situation 100x worse for me.
I suppose if I've got a new baby I'll be too busy worn out broken to care Smile

Good luck for your scan today Tori. There's a bit of scanxiety going on here too. Movement helps but I just want to know everything is ok

Maybe a sink plunger would be better for a post baby fanjo Grin

Tee! Your poor thing! Get ye to the sofa and sit still! You need a slave for the last few weeks to feed you ice cream and rub your back.

Good luck tori and purple today with your scans!

Have we a couple of people due 12 week scans this week too?

Splodge - bounce bounce bounce!

I do love the yellow one wil. Glad you've got one so I can use that as argument with dh as to why I should be allowed an expensive bag! Grin

ChatEnOeuf · 05/05/2015 09:43

Ouch Tee! My ankle looked like that a few years back after a game of badminton. Turns out now, I've sprained it so many times on a good night out tripping over lego that I don't register any more. It just swells up. The only way I know mine is pregnancy related is that it's both of them...Hmm

Good luck scanners! I'm joining you at two - growth/position/doppler study. What with physio beforehand and anaesthetics review afterwards it's a busy old day. And DD wants to go swimming after school. Ha! Maybe tomorrow...

We finally got around to rebuilding the cot, reassembling the carrycot and finding all the relevant bits of the car seat yesterday. Just need to unpack and re-wash all the tiny baby/newborn clothes and I'll feel half-ready.

I own a Mooncup. Never used it, as I got it over the summer last year. Hoping for another year without AF's rude presence - hope it hasn't rotted during that time!

Lemon from recollection it was a good month post delivery...then it depends if you're BF/how fortunate you are as to when you start needing to shove things back up there.

Hope you and HRH are well, Mini...you too Splodge!

gaggiagirl · 05/05/2015 10:18

Oh I'll join all you ladies with preggers appts today. I'm at the midwife today for my 16 wk appt that i should have had last week.

WilHarlot · 05/05/2015 10:31

Ooh loads of appointment today. Good luck everyone.

Hope you're ok Mini you looked great post-birth. Haven't heard from Lauren for ages.

La I find it best they never know the price of these things.

KatoPotato · 05/05/2015 10:53

Mooncups. No. Just not for me! Blood getting all up in my acrylics?? I'll be desperate to get my mirena back in pronto quick style!

Fleur, the Tripp trapp with newborn seat is the one thing I still want to buy but can't get dh on board at all! To him high chairs are for 6months plus and doesn't understand my reasoning for wanting ds2 up at the table with us!

LaLaLaaaa · 05/05/2015 11:40

Ooh that's another thing to think about! How long after birth til you have to think about contraception again? Never been on coil but might try it.

Good luck Gaggia! The weeks arm to be flying by. I'm 30 weeks today although I'm starting to get impatient.

Any newbie grads please do add your dates of scans etc to spreadsheet, link is at top of thread.

Is that the space age looking seat kato?

gaggiagirl · 05/05/2015 11:56

30wks la! Where does the time go!

KatoPotato · 05/05/2015 12:12

Hehe no la that was the mamaroo, and I did get that...

This is another thing...
