Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 27th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

ok, I give up. I'm going to stop posting now.

Fleurchamp · 04/05/2015 20:00

Thanks la that's reassuring!

I have ordered the big stuff - cot, car seat and high chair. My mum is buying the cot and DH's mum the high chair (stokke Tripp trap).

Pram, bouncy chair, play mat, clothes, baby bath are all coming from my sister (plus anything else I can raid).

Have bought monitor, angelcare video one, I had a john lewis voucher from my credit card which made it £50 cheaper.

I have a Ewan, some swaddle blankets and a towel. Plus two changing mats (one upstairs, one down).

I got the boots offers today after finally working out which nappies I needed for the bag.

I looked at breast and maternity pads but got scared Blush

Good idea about adding things to my shopping each week. Will do that in future.

Just ordered the pacapod Hastings changing bag, it looks pretty unisex.

I am going to cry when my credit card bill comes in!! But DH and I have decided to get as much as we can whilst I am still on a full wage,I'm not really spending any other money at the moment she says, trying to justify the expense

Purpleball · 04/05/2015 20:07

Hahaha Lemon Grin

I'm going to work through La's list and figure it all out when we are on holiday next week.

We're not buying any clothes now. We have enough neutral stuff to start with and we will be getting loads given.

Family and friends have mentioned buying something, work will too. I don't know if people will ask what we want, buy something anyway or get us vouchers. We will have to wait and see.

Haha Lemon, watch it or I'll slice you Wink

No you don't need a changing bag fatty but any excuse to buy a bag. Which storksak La? I got one of tge cheaper ones but totally coveted the leather ones.

Breast pads - unless you are small of breast get the expensive ones like Tommee Tippee or Lansinoh. Supermarket ones barely cover the nipple and are crap. Maternity pads however, Tesco cheap ones are fine.

I swapped from maternity pads to night time normal period ones after a week as the bleeding wasn't as heavy and they were a LOT thinner and less obvious. didn't stop me carrying on bleeding for another sodding 5 weeks after that though!

ZylaB · 04/05/2015 20:26

Sorry, the point of that post was....you may want to get some more normal pads in, in case you want to change and if your partner is anything like mine, would have no clue which of the millions of different ones to pick up!

Cymraes17 · 04/05/2015 20:35

I second tommee tippee breast pads, they are large , they stay where you stick them plus they are comfortable on the nork, unlike cheeper ones that kind of scratch and move about.
Am planning on using tesco mat pads untill i run out, then on to night time pads with wiiiings. (2 days before bfp my mooncup thing was delivered, hoping to use this when back to normal)

Fattycow · 04/05/2015 20:37

I got a few Teny Lady Discreet Pants. They are like normal underwear, but very very absorbent! They are quite expensive, but worth it for the nights. No shifting pads and waking up in a puddle of blood...

Fattycow · 04/05/2015 20:38

Oh, and I have two changing bags. Wink One was free with the pram, the other one I got for a tenner. Grin

Lemondrizzletwunt · 04/05/2015 20:39

Viroids, I have gotten a little too excited methinks (spurred on by Mr Lemon and his penchant for hoarding) and have managed to get a cot, changing table with baby bath and wicker nursing chair for £10.49 today!!! this is not even a stealth boast, it's just a boast

Two of the bits came from freecycle and the other one from eBay, and we're just going to Annie Sloan the fuck out of them. Don't worry, am planning to get brand new breast pads and fanjo hammocks though Grin

Lemondrizzletwunt · 04/05/2015 20:42

Cym I have a Mooncup and it was fucking marvellous! Takes a cycle to get used to it, but after that it's a total dream. I'd never go back to tampons now; I can't believe how my outlook has changed on my period too, I used to hate it and find it dirty somehow, and now I almost look forward to it Grin

Btw, how long does it take to get back to normal? When are we 'allowed' to shove things up there again?

Pisghetti · 04/05/2015 20:44

I was going through more than a pack a day of maternity pads for the first few days so worth making sure you have plenty. Boots ultra thin had good reviews on the March group (but I used supermarket own ones). Boots have/had an offer on lansinoh breast pads which made them cheaper than boots own. Must see if that's still on and stock up....

I'm down south looking!

Charlotte was on our list - so glad we didn't go for that now!!

Pisghetti · 04/05/2015 20:47

I second the mooncup recommendation! I'll be cracking mine out when AF comes back.

Hobbit19 · 04/05/2015 20:55

Yes to moon cups!! I used to be a mountain guide (when I was cool/young/fit ha ha), and they were brilliant, no having to squat behind small boulders trying to wrestle with tampons while clients looked nonchalantly at the view!

splodge77 · 04/05/2015 21:10

I loved my mooncup with a passion but wasn't able to keep it in after DS broke my fanny Shock. Thanks for reposting your superlist La, v helpful. My hospital bag seems insanely massive!

Purpleball · 04/05/2015 21:24

I gave up my mooncup as it leaked too much

Indigoblue2 · 04/05/2015 21:35

Thanks for the list again la!!

Dunno if I posted this on my last post but any word from lauren or mini yet?? I haven't seen anything from lauren in ages, hope they are both ok. Mini must have popped by now?!

Well that's the bank holiday weekend over Sad Hope you all had a good time!

lemon I love the Annie Sloan comment! I'm a massive paint snob F&B and Little Greene fan. Can't get enough of the stuff.

I'm so excited about my labour, can't wait! Is this weird?

gaggiagirl · 04/05/2015 21:41

If anyone has a Wilkinsons (wilko's) near them there own brand maternity pads are very good and cost very little. Breast pads are cheap there too.

LaLaLaaaa · 04/05/2015 22:18

I just want a posh changing bag I'm not ashamed to admit!

I've got boots boob pads and they slip quite a bit :( so don't recommend them

Eh I'm knackered! Just had dominos then Ben and jerrys health queen

I feel totally uncool having never used a mooncup! I always thought they would leak!

Need to sleeeeeep

I reckon (and hope) that mini has had baby and is just enjoying some family time. I really hope I'm right

Purpleball · 04/05/2015 22:26

La I got Boots bra pads Hmm
Best get some others then. Do I need maternity pads before giving birth or just after?

OP posts:
LaLaLaaaa · 04/05/2015 22:29

Try them though and see what you think! It might just be my shape or something. I found I put them in and within half hour they had slipped. I've only tried them twice though. My boobs started leaking after gardening a few weeks ago, I don't know if it happens to everyone

LaLaLaaaa · 04/05/2015 22:31

Ha! Lemon your autocorrect fail cracked me up!

Good effort on the bargains!

Fattycow · 04/05/2015 22:33

purple, you might need the maternity pads before birth as well. If your waters go with gushes, you do want something to catch it!

KatoPotato · 04/05/2015 23:11

I preferred the always maximum infinity pads. The 'maternity pads' are so thick and hardly bend.
