Another one here who had a bad time on the maternity ward but didn't have the energy to complain at the time.

I was all signed up for the lovely natural water birth too...unfortunately life had other plans! However I'm hoping 2nd time lucky.

PS for the first timers, I wound up with a three day labour ending in forceps and episiotomy, but overall I still didn't find it that bad.

Hello strangers! I've been absent as our internet still hasn't been connected so just trying to catch up now. pyjama I'm so sorry, look after yourself.

I'm 13 weeks today and my bump is coming along well. Definitely more pregnant than extra fat now!

I have my 2nd 12 week scan on Monday (I was only 10 weeks last time) and booking in with my new midwife on Tuesday. I'm really hoping I get my blood results on Monday as I've got a feeling they'll make me have it all done again on Tuesday as I've been given a completely different set of notes in my new area.

Also, how annoying is it that maternity clothes are online only? I've just spent £260 on 8 pairs of jeans and I'll be happy if 2 pairs fit right. I had a lovely pair from Next last time and seeing as I only got them last August and they are still available I assumed they would be the same fit, so I ordered 2 pairs but had to send them back as they are too tight on my legs. I would blame the crap I've been eating but my old pair fit fine!

Snozzberry I had a 3 day labour too. It was very tough and very tiring. I was at least lucky to end it with a simple 10 minute pushing phase and no stitches though.

I'd love a simple fuss free birth as I'm confident my body might get on with it a bit quicker second time round. But with twins, it'll just have to be very medicalised because of the higher risks. Definitely epidural, possible elcs or emcs. I think I have to make my peace with that now and accept that it is really out of my control. My biggest concern is preterm labour. DD came on her due date but twins are so often born early. Feels like there is lots to be anxious about this time

I never had a labour - emcs due to low lying placenta so in a weird way feel I misses out. For any first timers or first time c sectioners it was really ok (apart from the emergency nature) and I was up and about the next day. More of a shuffle than a sprint around the ward but I was surprised how quickly I felt ok

First timers - if it's tough, you really will forget the worst of it, honestly!

Read fb group, if anyone's waiting for me to do something and it hasn't happened by tomorrow lunchtime give me a nudge! I've turned my pc off for the night and off to bed. It's 22:45 here so an acceptable bed time.

I'm another one with a 3 day labour! Simple at the end though, and once the epidural kicked in I went to sleep at 9cm dilated haha

Stace I totally agree! I told work and they just keep pestering me to tell them when I am coming back! I don't even know what date I'm leaving yet!

Also people at work asking if it was planned, if my DH is the dad! How rude!

No results here yet, so I'm guessing it should be today. The wait is agonising but at least the memory of the CVS has faded!

Karmanna I've not received anything from you, checked my email inbox, spam, FB messages and others box . With the Downs testing, the cut off point is 1:150, mine is 1:225 ( DS has downs) so my risk is automatically at the higher end of low, but it's still considered very low when factoring in my age and DS, it's all very confusing! Luckily someone from ante-natal phoned to explain it all to me!

Hello everyone, haven't posted for a while. (mixture of sickness and tiredness) Had my 12 week scan last Friday and everything was great but since then ive been having brown spotting and then last night it was red. I phoned the hospital this morning but they just said rest and call back if it gets worse. Ive taken the day of work and Im worried sick!

Has this happened to anyone else after their scan? I never experienced this with my first x

10twinkle I had red bleeding throughout my 1st pregnancy due to low lying placenta. I'd get it checked out though as there's so many reasons e.g. infection. Good luck!

ThankYou abbey road. I had a low lying placenta with my dd but had no problems. I've phoned the epu and I've got a can tomorrow at 9am. I feel sick waiting and worrying but at least I will know if everything is ok soon. I really though I would feel less anxious after the 12wk scan but I feel worse! Been pregnant is very stressful.

So those 8 pairs of jeans I ordered yesterday? 6 arrived today and I'm keeping one pair that look the least hideous. Apparently I have very skinny knees and ankles in comparison to the rest of my body I got all over bump styles as I've got a tummy anyway and liked how the overbump sculpted everything last time, but all except the ones I'm keeping have panels that come just above my belly button. Surely they won't stay up when my bump arrives? My old ones go right under my boobs.

I was hoping to get away with leggings and dresses right up until Sept/Oct, by which point I will be so massive that I couldn't give a shit what I was wearing. Summer best hurry up!
