There have been some junebugs... Think Tori is right but also losing track!!

Dd went to the childminder this morning for the first time since before half term so I actually have a day's maternity leave to myself -- and the sun is shining! What luck! Psyched myself up with my "going exercising" outlook and waddled, slowly and breathlessly, for FOUR MILES around our local reservoirs and canals. Admittedly I stopped at a cafe just past the half way point, but still. Haven't felt achievement like this since I last did a 100 miler on my bike GrinGrin

Better bloody get this baby moving though coz I'm not doing it again in a hurry...

Lots of luck chook

In other news my OH has been up all night with diarrhoea and vomiting.
Him n his mum were decorating last night and funnily enough she just texted to say she been up all night with it as well.

wondering if I did have diarrhoea, would it trigger labour and would I end up in single room post-birth - got to try and find silver lining somehow ha ha ha

zahaziland · 05/06/2015 11:32

Good luck chook - I hope the induction works well and goes smoothly.

I am aware that there have been babies on other threads/groups elsewhere, but am I right in thinking that we are still waiting for our first official June baby on this thread?

(chook: it could be you Wink )

peppercorn28 · 05/06/2015 12:49

i all, just wanted to drop a line in case this is useful - I was in the April group and have my six-week-old babba snoozing on my chest right now. So first of all want to say all the aches and pains are worth it! And second of all, I've started a blog on preparing for the baby, why newborn life is much better than everyone says, and packing a hospital bag (the things I had/wish I'd had) - it's at runoutofwomb.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/the-one-thing-i-wish-id-packed-in-my.html if you want to look and I'd love any feedback (or contributions!)

comeagainforbigfudge · 05/06/2015 19:53

Hope your baby has arrived chook

And forgot to say wow what a little chunky monkey you have aswell... Think she is the biggest baby we have had so far. Well done.

When u get a chance u'll have to giv us your birth story ... Sounds like the induction was pretty straight forward neway judging by how quickly she was here Grin

jazzy as I'm up I'll do it now! Came in induction at 8am and on examination they discovered baby's head had disengaged again so I had to go on to a ward and be induced as an impatient, first pessary was inserted at 10.45am then monitored for an hour, had some lunch then went for a walk with dh, after 10mins of walking I felt lots of pressure and was becoming increasingly uncomfortable so went back to ward where contractions started at 2.30pm they ramped up in pain and frequency very quickly and I was thinking Jesus this fucking hurts! So got on birthing ball for an hour or so then went to have a wee and had a show so I knew things were happening... After another hour or so of being in immense pain I asked the midwife to examine me and she discovered I was 4cm with bulging membranes and contractions every 3mins so was whisked straight onto labour ward where I had some huge pains and asked for pethedine but before they could get it to me my waters went and when midwife examined me I was fully dilated and her head could be seen, she was out in 4 pushes no stitches or tears which I was impressed about considering she is such a chunk! I'm bleeding a fair bit now but apart from that feeling good... Excuse the spelling errors I'm tired and hyper all at once!

Hope everyone else is going ok?
