Hi all - Maeby Jennifer arrived after induction at 1740 on 31/5 (so not June in the end!) weighing 7lb7oz. Was a super quick labour with minimal intervention (for an induction!) which I am grateful for although it was very overwhelming for me as a ftm! We're home now and I am completely and utterly besotted with the snuffling little creature currently snoozing on my chest.

Chookford · 02/06/2015 10:18

Congrats purple.. Enjoy your snuggles!

Sending escapologist thoughts to Baby Chook. Grin

Congratulations Purple. Thanks I just can't believe how many babes have been born this past week We're drowning in cuteness.

MrsBeeBeeBee · 02/06/2015 12:48

Hello ladies. sorry I'm useless at posting on here!

still pregnant! 40+3 now. had an attempted sweep yesterday but other than making my foof hurt it's done nothing!

Chook you seem in a similar boat, how far along are you now? Did they say anything about how favourable you were at sweep?
I've got another booked for tomorrow but not holding out much hope. DD was induced at 12 days over!

Chookford · 02/06/2015 13:21

mrs I'm 41+2 now... Second sweep today wasn't a great success either so another one booked for Thursday then induction is Friday morning at 12 days over... So think it's going to be a very late baby for me! God damn it!

Hope you have more luck with your second attempt mrs!

Thanks trying Grin

AnythingNotEverything · 02/06/2015 14:59

Congratulations Purple and Chookford I hope you go naturally before induction, but you'll probably go quickly once they start to intervene.

37 weeks here. Just about ready for baby I think now.

Chookford · 02/06/2015 17:11

Thanks anything I really hope so!!

MrsBeeBeeBee · 02/06/2015 22:12

chook when I was induced at 40+12 it was a nice quick one for me so hopefully if it did come to it you'd have a good one!
But I'm hoping you don't need inducing!

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 03/06/2015 07:45

Chook I had 3 sweeps with dd and she finally got going of her own accord at 40+12... Dodged induction by an hour as my waters broke at 7.30am with induction booked for 8.30! Hope yours gets a wriggle on too!!

Chookford · 03/06/2015 09:12

pas wow that was good timing! I'm booked in for 8am Friday so hopefully baby will make its move before then! Final sweep tomorrow morning but not holding out any hope for that one!

mrs thanks, if I do end up having the induction will keep everything crossed it's a nice quick one like yours!!

jazzyjenbo · 03/06/2015 09:32

Yay congrats purple... Great name. Grin

Think it ended up being 27 may born babies... There are 82 members on fb but i think about 100 ppl in total and 2 of those having twins so u think around 100-110 babies (i'll work it out later)

Day 5 here and had an awful night... Baby was feeding fine, was just about to turn the lights out at 2am (small miracle she was asleep in crib) when 2yr old dd1 comes in complaining she wasnt feeling well to then vomit all over our bed, waking baby with her crying, we then have to strip our bed and dd1 with a screaming baby and then i have to feed dd2 whilst dd1 is burning up and just wanting mummy cuddles. Why had i forgotten nights like these Shock

jazzyjenbo · 03/06/2015 09:33

Plus side ds didnt wake up!

Tryingreallyhard84 · 03/06/2015 10:48

Ah Jazzy - sounds like one hell of a night. is dd1 feeling any better today?

I'm sending all you "ripe and ready" or just down right fed up peeps positive baby-emerging thoughts. personally, I have two and a half days of work left. The person I'm training is getting on my tits..not all her fault but when asking a heavily pregnant lady a question, think about it before you ask a stupid question or you might not like the answer. Envy [grin

Was really sick last night and hoping it was the start of something but alas, still pregnant this morning. Hmm However I'm only 37+4 so that's wishful thinking.

AnythingNotEverything · 03/06/2015 11:11

Jazzy sorry you've had a tough night. There seem to be a lot of sickness bugs around at the moment but hope hers was a one off. Kids eh?! Who'd have 'em Smile

mrst12514 · 03/06/2015 13:46

Hi ladies I've just found this thread I'm 38+2 please tell me I'm not the only one who is fed up and wanting baby here now lol xxx

Chookford · 03/06/2015 13:53

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 03/06/2015 13:56

Chook, "pain in the arse" is being very diplomatic about it! My 12 days over were the longest ever! Grin

waves to Mrst I'm 38+6 and so over this pregnancy lark Wink

I'm just wondering if we've had any actually born in June "junebugs" yet? Or if they all waiting for the sun to come out to play first? Grin

Venturing to a shopping centre today to alleviate the boredom. I'll probably only last an hour. But I feel I need some retail therapy Grin
