Come put your feet up in the Zen den and let the dh's wait on us hand and foot whilst we nurture the fruit of their loins in our bellies :-)

coffee & chops He apologised and had no reason why he was horrible. He was so snappy over everything - even me ordering sweet potatoes which came with the shopping last night! He's working today but said he will make it up to me tonight by snuggling and watching a film together.

chops can't wait to see your hair - I hope you're brave and go short! It will look lovely. DP was the one who cracked first and decided we should start telling people. Maybe let him tell her? Unless you want to see the reaction - I didn't as mil isn't that nice.

wotsits1 · 02/05/2015 07:57

Glad dh has apologised to you mummy. Movie night in sounds fab. Might suggest it to my dh. We have a child free night as dd is going to a sleepover. Is it wrong that I'm dreaming of a pizza, a cuppa and an early night?!?

My boobs didn't hurt at all through my last pregnancy. I seriously think I have no nerves sensors in them!! Breastfeeding never so much as tingled and they never got much bigger then a C cup (was GUTTED!).
Come oooon Pamela Anderson boobs!!!

I need help! Been googling about foods I'm not allowed go eat and can't get my head around it. Has anyone got a concise list?

Mummyofonesofar · 02/05/2015 08:05

wotsits mine didn't change last time but are huge already this time. Shows no 2 pregnancies are the same. He also brought be a decaf tea in bed. Tea and an early night would be lovely too!

I don't have a list but in my head it's no swordfish (with eats that anyway!) and nothing yummy like runny eggs or bloody steak/any meat. And different to last time we can eat shellfish as long as it's cooked.

HeirToTheIronThrone · 02/05/2015 09:02

Ooh Dojo great minds - Tesco has packs of little choc chip brioches for £1 at the mo. I may have bought several...

I hope everyone has a nice weekend planned. I am travelling up to see my oldest girlfriends for afternoon tea tomorrow and am going to break the news! They have all had a baby each in the past year or two so I think they will be happy I am joining the club.

HeirToTheIronThrone · 02/05/2015 09:05

Mummy runny eggs are ok if you get lion stamped ones.

My concise list goes: no oysters, liver or unpasteurised cheese. Everything else I am being a bit more relaxed about. Oh and not too much tuna - which is hard as I am really into tuna mayo sandwiches! Trying to limit myself to two a week.

Mummyofonesofar · 02/05/2015 09:12

Oh yeah, no Brie!

Heir so glad you're announcing you're pregnant rather than dreading going to another meet up where girls coo over each others baby pictures. I forget about he lion stamp safety mark!bof and no more than 2 servings of salmon.

dojo123 · 02/05/2015 10:24

I've heard from my sis (who is seeing a nutritionist with her iVF) said runny eggs only after 12 weeks if they are lion stamped. Red meat no more than twice a week. No shellfish but prawns ok. No unpasteurised cheeses or soft ripened cheeses (Stilton is ok). No pate inc mushroom and veggie pate. No liver. No fish high in Mercury (sword, shark..)

chops go for the short hair cut. It'll look great.

heir about to tuck into the brioche!

mummy glad dp apologised. Film and snuggle sound great tonight.

wotsits1 · 02/05/2015 10:38

This list is endless.... but who eats pate and swordfish anyway, right?

Just had an awkward moment. Took dd to her dance class and my best friend came with her daughter and said; "Brownie points for me... look who called at Starbucks on the way and got us large caramel cappuccinos!"

Mmmm.... can we say CAFFINE OVERLOAD!!! I had a mini panic!!! Then pretended to sip it (thank got for the lids) and then threw it away! What would you have done? Am I being dramatic?

I know they say caffeine can cause miscarriage and because I've had a missed mc I'm super paranoid.

chopsface · 02/05/2015 12:17

I heard one cup a day was ok. I've been caffeine free more or less for a year anyway now.

Dh has told his mum, dad, sister, brother! They were all there in the house! Feel a little bit sad that I wasn't there but hey ho. Want to tell my parents now! I would like to wait until after the early scan though.

Feel worryingly well today. I know I should be pleased but....

HeirToTheIronThrone · 02/05/2015 12:53

Thanks Mummy, I am excited to tell them. I suppose some people would say I should still wait as still no scan, but I'm 11+3 and really would like to tell them in person, and we hardly ever see each other.

Dojo just having myself a brioche snack and watching Teen Mom. All class, me Grin

Mummyofonesofar · 02/05/2015 16:18

wotsits I would have probably had half and called it my 200mg daily limit. But better to be safe than sorry right!
Our list of who knows is massive and I'm only 5 weeks tomorrow!

Heir you do what's right for you - as kin as you're sure no one will tell your parents before you do!!

wotsits1 · 02/05/2015 19:50

Sooooo were all gonna look as amazing as Kate walking out of hospital with our babies, yes?

dojo123 · 02/05/2015 22:30

Yes! I thought I'd invite my stylist, makeup artist and hairdresser in to immediately afterwards so look fabulous when I leave not the sweaty, sleep deprived, tear-stained mess I'm actually picturing

Mummyofonesofar · 03/05/2015 07:20

I'm thinking a home birth, then I can avoid all the press who are going to want to take picture of me and my baby!

chopsface · 03/05/2015 07:48

I'm freaking out ladies :-( its because I've read too much stuff. I had no nausea yesterday or so far today so absolutely convinced myself I'm having a missed mc. I'm more worried because of the holiday on Tuesday and something happening whilst we are abroad. I don't have an early scan until May 14th after we get back. Friday I felt so ill and to go from that to basically nothing just seems wrong to me.

OP posts:
Mummyofonesofar · 03/05/2015 08:29

Try not to panic Chops you won't feel sick every day, maybe you are just timing your meals better now and got the sickness under control. Or maybe that's sickness finished for you. Think positive, not long until your scan. Enjoy your holiday too x

wotsits1 · 03/05/2015 08:35

Try not to panic Chops. When I had a missed mc I woke in the night with really bad period pains. They lasted 10 minutes but then vanished.

I woke up feeling nauseous but went to the docs anyway because I wanted reassurance. They did a scan and, well, you know the rest.

They told me that a missed mc is very rarely not associated with some pain. But because it can pass so fleetingly women just brush it off.

I wouldn't base your worries on a lack of nausea. I still had the nausea!!!

Then, with dd, I was sick from 6 weeks to 13 weeks EXCEPT for week 8 when I thought 'phew, that's over!' No such luck... it reappeared after a weeks peace with a vengeance.

Hormones peak and trough through out your pregnancy. Just try to enjoy these days when you can eat normally & please don't worry about your hol!

chopsface · 03/05/2015 09:00

Thanks girls, I just suffer awful anxiety! I'm sure I will feel better once dh is home. I miss him :-(

OP posts:
HeirToTheIronThrone · 03/05/2015 10:33

Oh my parents already know Mummy so no worries there. I'm sure way too many people know to be honest. But I have to be positive that it will be fine. So terrified of mmc though, I'd never even heard of it before looking on here and now it's constantly in my head! Still, all the people who know - some family and some close friends - would all be people whose support I want if it did go wrong.

Chops my nausea went away for a few days a week or so ago and I got worried. But it's now back with a vengeance!

Mummyofonesofar · 03/05/2015 11:51

Heir I am constantly checking the stats day by day showing chances of mc, down to 17.3% now at 5 weeks. Same, everyone that knows, I would have told if we had a mc. When is DH due back?

chopsface · 03/05/2015 13:57

That bloody rate of mc chart. Now I'm 6+6 it drops below 10%. I like that.

Hey girls. Sorry been off radar.

Chops, two things. First, please try not to worry, but I totally sympathise. I'm totally paranoid too. From what I know of people close to me, nausea comes and goes.
Second, your hair looks fab! X

That mc chart is a bloody blessing and a curse.

dojo123 · 03/05/2015 19:42

Evening all.
Just thought I was going to throw up into the kitchen sink. DH kindly made a sausage stew in the slow cooker for lunches this week but the smell made me want to hurl. Bless him, I know he wanted to do something so I had a proper lunch this week but I don't think I'll be able to eat it.

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 03/05/2015 22:35

Thanks for the chair chops hope it's comfy for when the piles set in.
My edd all being well will be 11/1/16 that means I could pack up work at Chrstmas and not go back until some time in 2017 sounds good to me Smile
