Come put your feet up in the Zen den and let the dh's wait on us hand and foot whilst we nurture the fruit of their loins in our bellies :-)

I was sick 12-24 weeks last time. It's not easy hugging a toilet with a bump! But it did make it easier to explain when I jumped out the car and threw up next to some railings, looked up and it was a building site and everyone was staring! Luckily they were all lovely and fetched me tissues and a cup of tea and a water. I hope everyone feels better soon!

wotsits1 · 30/04/2015 22:42

I was sick from weeks 6 - 13 last time... then one day it had just gone.

coffeenut · 01/05/2015 03:17

hi wotsits I remember you from the march thread Smile congrats!! When are you due?

dojo so exciting to visit all those baby stores. So much fun even if you're just looking for now.

My sil said morning sickness disappeared completely for her at almost 12 week to the day - fingers crossed! I didnt get much actual sickness, just a very low level nausea which was worse in a way because I just had to eat constantly (and put on a ridiculously large amount of weight)

chopsface · 01/05/2015 06:57

I have a medium-high level of nausea which I have to keep eating to keep away! Only been sick once so far. Really hope it goes away on or before 12 weeks! I'm doing better than my sister though who was chucking up from conception to birth and was on a drip in hospital several times before 9 weeks! They say morning sickness runs in families but I was determined not to be like her! She was always travel sick on family holidays though, sometimes before we even left town! I've always had a better constitution Grin

I think I will be due around the 7th of January! Woke up this morning and it felt a little more real (although I did another test... just to make sure! haha!)

That makes 5 tests altogether.... surely they can't all be wrong!

wotsits1 · 01/05/2015 07:22

Chops that nausea feeling is awful enough though. I remember it well! Glad you're managing to keep it down though... can be a nightmare in work if you're trying not silently throw up your lunch whilst other women pee in the next cubicle!

chopsface · 01/05/2015 08:01

I cannot vom quietly! I need to make a huge drama of it coz I have a phobia lol! Luckily most of the loos at work are individual ones in a corridor. The stall ones are also in the locker room which is only busy at peak times. I hope I never have to puke in work!

Does anyone know if this is as bad as it will get? It won't suddenly turn into hyperemesis on week 8 or something?!

Mummyofonesofar · 01/05/2015 08:16

chops no one knows sadly! Each woman and pregnancy is different! I hope none of us have to throw up in work!

Mummyofonesofar · 01/05/2015 14:51

Sparkly come out, come out, wherever you are!!!

dojo123 · 01/05/2015 15:34

Trying not to fall asleep at my desk this afternoon. Wondering if I can get away with sneaking off early (I have so much work to do for my company I shouldn't really)

Also really wanting brioche. The chocolate chip stuff and maybe a milkshake or just some nice cold milk.

Mummyofonesofar · 01/05/2015 17:19

dojo you poor thing, have a nap when you get home. I drank a pint of milk last night. It was so tasty I could have drank more but I knew I would be up all night peeing.

wotsits1 · 01/05/2015 18:13

chops no one knows I'm afraid. we all vom at our own rate!!!

Well... its official. Saw my doctor today who did another test and confirmed it. He's lovely and has booked me in for an internal 'reassurance scan' at 9 weeks (so... the 3rd of June) and has sorted my booking in appt at the hospital for in 3 weeks time. I'll get my 12 week scan date through the post.

OK... so what's all this (tmi) wind about!!!! Its awkward!!!

dojo123 · 01/05/2015 18:18

wotsit great news about your scan at 9wks.
Hahah about the wind. Yes, I've also been there, either end it doesn't really seem to matter!!

chopsface · 01/05/2015 18:23

Omg dont talk to me about wind! Dh wants to disown me!

Finally on my way home from work. Had some serious ups and downs today. Didn't think I'd last at work! Did say to my senior (who knows) at 3pm that I seriously didn't think I could cope another 3 hours but I'd try.

Hope you're all well (as you can be!) X

wotsits1 · 01/05/2015 18:38

At least it isn't just me with the wind!!! Its awful!!! I dont remember this from dd (maybe I've blocked it out!)

My doctor is lovely and he said that because I had a missed m/c the scan will put my mind at rest. I wasn't expecting it as the missed mc was before dd. They did an earlier scan with her but that was only 3 months after. I didn't think I'd get one. this time whilst id since carried a bean to term... but heck, I wasn't gonna refuse!!!! Grin

So other than this wind and the promise of nausea...what else do I have to look forward to. I honestly just remember the vomming with dd!!

dojo123 · 01/05/2015 18:57

your boobs feeling like bowling balls!!!

chopsface · 01/05/2015 19:17

I still don't have anything happening with my boobs!

Don't worry chops it will come Confused. If my DH goes anywhere near them I recoil like he's stabbed them!

Just been to the supermarket to buy something for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow and have come back with an array of random things. bag of spinach, two lemons, punnet of raspberries, single cream, tarragon, kettle chips and M&Ms

chopsface · 01/05/2015 20:41

Hmmm dojo try as I might I can't think of a meal out of that!

OP posts:
dojo123 · 01/05/2015 21:00

DH ended up picking up a quiche and some salad on the way home from work for dinner tonight and some chocolate chip brioche for breakfast to go with the raspberries.

Mummyofonesofar · 01/05/2015 21:11

dojo you could have a nice creamy lemon and tarragon chicken dish with spinach. But would need to add chicken!

DP is being an asshole tonight. Like a real nob for no reason. Then he had 4 cans and turned into an even bigger asshole. He has gone to bed and even though I'm shattered I am not going up until he is asleep.

dojo123 · 01/05/2015 21:20

mummy We have some chicken in the freezer and and pasta in the cpd so I think that's a good plan for dinner tomorrow night. Thank you, I was half way there!!!

Sorry your DP isn't being great this evening. Hope he's better tomorrow.

Mummyofonesofar · 01/05/2015 21:22

Yup, you had the right idea! I'm sure you were just distracted by the m&ms!!

I don't know what his problem is. My living room is cold, maybe I should go to bed.....

coffeenut · 02/05/2015 03:48

mummy with both of my last pregnancies, dh was an arse for the first few months - arguing about everything, what are we going to do now re money, extra bedrooms, extra car space etc even though dd2 was planned and dd1 was his fault! He's being really super nice this time around ... so maybe he's finally grown up Grin

chopsface · 02/05/2015 07:39

Sorry dh is being an arse mummy hope he apologizes today. My dh is being alright about stuff so far. Partly in denial though and I think he's panic computer gaming at all hours whilst he still can! He's worried about where his computer is going to go though as its currently in the 'nursery'. In other ways he knows I need looking after and he's making me eat and rest.

Gonna go get my hair chopped this morning. Dh wants to go visit his family and he needs the car. He's expecting me to walk to the hair dressers and back in my condition! Its about 25 mins each way! He's dying to tell his mum and I don't know whether to give him permission as I obviously won't be there to see their faces and he's the one who didn't want me to tell my mum straight away!
