Come put your feet up in the Zen den and let the dh's wait on us hand and foot whilst we nurture the fruit of their loins in our bellies :-)

We're all posting on our threads for our due months too and on the fb group. A few more bfp's should liven the place up Smile

loopylou1984 · 28/06/2015 19:38

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 29/06/2015 21:31

Thanks guys.
Chops I'm undecided whether to find out the sex or wait and have a surprise, I'll see what DH wants to do.

loopylou1984 · 30/06/2015 06:56

Thanks chops :).
Yes if will probably join if I get my bfp. I'm just worried about anyone else I know finding out about the IVF. A lot of people know already and it's more pressure the more people that know. Xx

chopsface · 30/06/2015 15:42

I had my booking in appointment today and should get a dating scan date v soon.
I'm not finding out the sex of mine Smile

nightandthelight · 30/06/2015 15:55

Mw rang today, booking appt won't be arranged until we are both back from holiday. How did yours go oyster? What happens?

dojo123 · 30/06/2015 16:04

Haven't been on here in an age but wanted to see if there were any newbies that aren't on the FB page.
I have my mw check up tomorrow and hopefully hear my little bean's heart beat.
Is anyone else aware of the theory of it sounds like galloping horses its a girl but if it's slightly slower and sounds like a train its a boy?

Oysterbabe · 30/06/2015 16:30

Not heard that one Dojo.

appointment was fine but took ages. Lots of forms to fill in about medical history of you and family. They took blood and urine samples, blood pressure and carbon monoxide reading and just went through loads of info. It was good, feels more official now.

tessiegirl · 30/06/2015 17:15

Hi ladies, I too haven't been on here in ages - we got back to Sarajevo Sunday afternoon. I had a bit of a nightmare few days last week. Last Saturday I noticed the tiniest couple of pin prick sized blood spots when I wiped which totally freaked me out. Spent all the weekend worrying and on the Monday I called the midwife to put my mind at rest. Honestly, if I hadn't still been examining the toilet roll I wouldn't have even noticed them Confused they were so tiny. Midwife put my mind at rest but I thought I would still go to the doctors to get checked out just in case. Doctor listened to bean's heartbeat and all sounded fine. I asked her if she could check my wee in case I had the start of a UTI as what with going back to Sarajevo I definitely didn't want something like that to deal with being away. She agreed and found blood in my wee which she sent off to be checked for an infection.....

tessiegirl · 30/06/2015 17:24

Sorry, sent last post as didn't want it eaten up before I had chance to send!

...Doctor said if no infection was found (I wouldn't get results until Thursday) then they would probably want me to have another scan to check on placenta as if it lying low sometimes this can cause bleeding. So, I came out of docs feeling terrible. In a panic I booked myself in to have another scan that same evening to see if they could see any reason for the spotting and whether the placenta was low.... The scan lady was lovely and very reassuring. Little bean was kicking away totally oblivious to anything! It was measuring exactly 15 weeks so spot on for the day. She said my placenta is low at the moment but quite often they will move up by the 20 week scan. There was also a small area of bleeding on the placenta which she said may be a burst blood vessel and most often bleeds like that get absorbed into the body but they will check on it at 20 week scan too. So there are two possible reasons for the little bit of blood I had or could just be one of those things.... Oh and she also had a little look to see if she could tell the sex and she said she thinks due to lack of anything obvious it may be a 'pink one' but again they should be able to tell for sure at next scan. Thankfully I haven't had any more bleeding but am taking it very easy...it's been an emotional last week! Confused I also got results from sample and no infection found. I had to take in another sample for nurse to check and no more blood in urine which was massive relief!

tessiegirl · 30/06/2015 17:27

Dojo I have heard the faster the heartbeat then it means girl and slower means boy.... hope mw appointment goes well tomorrow!

tessiegirl · 30/06/2015 17:29

Just read back my post. When I say 'bleeding' it really wasn't. Literally tiny pin pricks of blood Blush

chopsface · 30/06/2015 17:43

Sounds like a very traumatic week tessie, doesn't sound like there is much cause for concern though if the professionals didn't think do :-)

dojo123 · 30/06/2015 17:48

tessie glad you got checked out all the same as it is a worry whether is a pin pick of blood or more. Glad you got to see little bean again.
It was my colleagues midwife that mentioned it, and she was right, my colleague is having a little blue one at the end of July. I was just interested to see if anyone had heard similar but as you haven't I'm going to take this with a pinch of salt and just wait until December to find out the sex!

tessiegirl · 30/06/2015 17:50

Thanks Chops, that is what I am hoping. To take the positive from the experience at least I got to see little bean again! Smile

tessiegirl · 30/06/2015 18:01

Dojo I have googled about heartbeat rates as beans always seems to be on the high side and I wondered if it indicated the sex at all. I think as with many of these theories some are proved to be correct but many also haven't, so they should probably be taken with a pinch of salt. Still makes the guessing exciting though! Smile Same as what you foods you crave whilst pregnant can indicate the sex...

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 30/06/2015 22:26

Sadly dojo no newbies yet, but I don't reckon it will be long before there's a few bfp's on the TTC bus.
Sorry you're had a Bit of a fright tessie I wondered where you were. glad all is OK now though.
No heard that one either, I have been eating lots of fruit - which is very unlike me I hate most fruit but had to go the shop and get some melon (don't even like it) so who knows what that means!!
Off to try and get some sleep.
