Come put your feet up in the Zen den and let the dh's wait on us hand and foot whilst we nurture the fruit of their loins in our bellies :-)

Sorry to those still feeling rough Sad

Fantastic on 5 weeks night!

I had blood test today to check for Downs...should get results tomorrow or Wednesday. Funnily enough, the midwife who took my blood was the same midwife who delivered my brother 14 years ago! Small world! Grin

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 08/06/2015 17:53

That's good night.
I'm 9 weeks today and have been giving the hungry catapilliar a run for his money. Can't stop eating.

chopsface · 09/06/2015 11:25

Just vommed up ginger biscuits and yellow bile. This is not good :-(

Morning ladies

Off to see my consultant this afternoon to go through my delivery options (or should that be lack of) as I have a BMI of over 35. Hopefully he'll put my mind at ease of pre-eclampsia or gestational diabetes.

I used to get 'growing uterus' aches of an evening but I seem to get them in the morning or feeling pressure on my bladder which feels uncomfortable. The bit between 12 and 20wks is a bit of a lull maybe I'll feel different when I have a bit of a bump to show for it.

Rainy34 · 09/06/2015 20:30

Hi girls I'm climbing in through the back window to check in on you all and hope your all doing well, I miss you girls all so much, the bumsnet conception bus is still going on well but really wanting to stay on the bus for keeps, one step forward though is that our doctor has put us forward for referral at fertilty unit so hoping in the not so distant future il be with you all,

Ps i have a line of hair from my belly button down too, dont feel so odd now ha ha!!!!

Oysterbabe · 09/06/2015 23:52

Great news Rainy, you'll be here before you know it.

Been at the hospital this evening visiting DH. He's had an operation on his groin after injuring it playing football. He's lucky that he managed to knock me up before the operation because it would have been very painful for him when I made him dtd anyway Grin

Felt fine today.

chopsface · 10/06/2015 07:07

Poor dh oyster phewf to knocking you up before this happened! I hope they have been careful with his bits and pieces for the future though! Don't worry about a feeling good day, the crap will be back soon enough! How many weeks are you now? Hope you didn't mind me adding you to the FB group btw? I noticed you were missing!

I am so gassy oyster! Getting a bit embarrassing Blush

babsbunny · 10/06/2015 08:25

Re: bodily functions.....Prepare yourself for the removal of all dignity barriers with your dh girls. I got up and vommed in the middle of the night with the bathroom door open. Don't care anymore....

nightandthelight · 10/06/2015 08:32

Luckily DH and I passed that stage early in our relationship when I passed out, threw up all over myself and had to be carried home Blush While I slept it off DH washed and dries my clothes and stayed awake to make sure I didn't choke. He's a keeper :)

babsbunny · 10/06/2015 08:33

Oh bless. In a totally gross way, that's one of the most romantic stories ever. Defo a keeper!

Ah night, that is a lovely story....kind of!!! Grin

How did you get on with the consultant dojo?

We had Downs screening blood results yesterday - 1 in 14,436 chance of little bean having it so great result. Also had my 16 week midwife appointment slightly early at 13 weeks yesterday. All fine, she said she could feel my uterus starting to rise up from behind my pubic bone and we also heard bean's heartbeat again - my mum was delighted!! Smile

DizzyMerry · 10/06/2015 12:11

Just popping my head through the door to see how you're all getting on.

That's a lovely story night. A keeper indeed.

Tessie so pleased your results are all good.

Hope you all start to feel better soon. Although time flies by so enjoy each and every moment of your pregnancies.

HeirToTheIronThrone · 10/06/2015 19:36

Hello lovely ladies. I am sat feeling sad tonight as my wonderful nana died this afternoon. She was terribly ill following a stroke and it was all very peaceful, in bed in her home, but I am very sad. The good thing is that I only saw her a fortnight ago and we talked all about the baby and I showed her my scan pictures, so she knew the pea was on its way, but I am devastated she won't meet it. DH and I have agreed tonight that if it's a girl (we're not finding out) then we will give her her name.

Sorry to bring the mood down but on my own and feeling blue!

loopylou1984 · 10/06/2015 19:48

Just popping by to say hi, heir so sorry to hear about your nana.
My nanny passed away Xmas 2013, and it was so sad. People kept saying 'she had a good innings' and 'she'd had a really good life', and then one lady said to my mum 'she had a wonderful life, but that doesn't make you miss them any less does it?' which just summed up how I felt. Lovely idea to give a DD her name, is it a name that could be adjusted for a boy? Xx

Oysterbabe · 10/06/2015 20:21

That all sounds wonderful Tessie Congrats!!

Oysterbabe · 10/06/2015 20:22

So sorry about your Nana Heir.

babsbunny · 10/06/2015 20:59

Oh heir. Sorry to hear that. It's not easy to lose your nana. It's a hollow time. Your idea about her name is lovely xxx

tessiegirl · 10/06/2015 21:23

So sorry to hear about your nana Heir. I hope you can take some comfort in the fact she knew about little pea. Take care of yourself Flowers
