Come put your feet up in the Zen den and let the dh's wait on us hand and foot whilst we nurture the fruit of their loins in our bellies :-)

Not much going on here, just tired, no sickness thankfully. Oh and seem to be getting a furry tummy Confused.
At least another three weeks till I might get to have a scan not got a date yet hoping the midwife tells me on Saturday when she comes round.

HeirToTheIronThrone · 05/06/2015 07:33

Purple I realised yesterday that my bump is all fuzzy! Shock

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 05/06/2015 08:54

It's good to know there must be something going on in there but hope I don't end up looking like a yeti when I go on my holiday Smile

chopsface · 05/06/2015 12:22

I've have always had a hairy tummy :-( and hairy nipples :-( and big toes :-( tmi?

Always had a fine line of hair from my belly button down does this mean I'm likely to get the line?!

Also is anyone suffering from hay fever? How are you combatting symptoms as we can't take over the counter medication.

How are people getting on with choosing what to wear in this weather. All my light weight/linen trousers are no longer fitting, jeans are too thick and I can't wear dresses everyday if I have to visit a building site.

chopsface · 05/06/2015 15:17

Hi dojo! Currently in elasticated waist linen trousers today :-)

Yeah I suffer hayfever. Just been battling on. I've not really been outside in the pollen much yet so I'm ok at present. Pollen doesn't dare enter our lab :-)

Just been online to look for light weight elasticated waist trousers. Height of fashion me!!

Also looking for local honey hoping that might help.

MarysPrayer · 05/06/2015 15:47

When I was pg with dd I had line up the whole length of my large and rather downy bump, which apparently meant I was having a boy Hmm

I also get hayfever, quite badly. There is a nasal spray called Prevalin that is safe to use. It didn't do much for me though. I'm gonna hold out as long as possible and then use a standard hayfever nasal spray. I think a topical treatment has to be better/safer than tablets.

Nomio230 · 05/06/2015 16:07

Hi lovelies ladies (and bumps), just thought I would pop my head in to see how you all are.

Hayfever wise, you can get this balm stuff which you rub inside your nose that is supposed to trap the pollen. I have no idea if it works or not, but remember my sister using it when she was PG.

Are any of you at the 5 months stage yet? Are you going to find out the sex? I definitely would, but I am stupidly impatient!

Hope you are all happy & healthy. X

Nomio230 · 05/06/2015 16:08

Lovely, not lovelies!

MarysPrayer · 05/06/2015 16:23

Hi Nomio Smile Yeah I think it's called HayMax, it acts a bit like vaseline.

chopsface · 05/06/2015 20:00

Thanks for popping in nomio! Hope you are well x

I think we are finding out the sex if we can! Be sods law if its in the wrong position or something! Still a long way off it feels. Breathing a sigh of relief as I hit 12 weeks at last this weekend!

Whoop whoop for 12wks chops

DH just informed me that I snored the entire night last night. I have now woken with a blocked nose and a sore throat. Love this pg malarkey!!

nightandthelight · 06/06/2015 07:40

Congrats on reaching 12 weeks chops!

I am struggling with my heart rate at the mo :( lying in bed, having not got up yet but my heart feeling as though I have just returned from a run!

MarysPrayer · 06/06/2015 10:44

Yay Chops, 12 weeks. You can start feeling great now!

Night I suffered from heart palpitations when carrying dd and was told it may be due to low iron levels. Although my levels measured ok and I was taking supplements.

I'm only just 6 weeks in and I'm really struggling with nausia. My job involves dealing with patients, on my own, all day. I cannot just take ten minutes off here and there. I also don't get paid of I'm off sick. just had the last four days off as I had prebooked annual leave but I'm dreading going back on Monday. What am I gonna do for the next six weeks?!

Sorry for the hysterical 'me' post, I'm stressing out a bit here. Just been sick and poor dd was terrified Sad

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 06/06/2015 12:38

mary maybe the Dr can give you something to help?
Had my booking appointment and so now I'm official. The midwife was lovely.
She asked me if I'd thought about where I'd have the baby and I said if I'd known you could have them at home I'd have done it sooner. She said as long as everything is going well by 36 weeks then there's no reason why I couldn't! I was quite surprised.

chopsface · 06/06/2015 12:52

Sorry you're struggling Mary are you snacking regularly to keep your tummy busy? That has been helping me. Have you tried the accupressure bands too? Did you have sickness with your first? Hope you find something to ease it and do ask your GP if its affecting work. Hope you're ok x x

Great news you're official purple! Grin

Oh and Mary I may be 12 weeks but I still feel rough! I was up eating ginger biscuits at 2am last night and having really vivid dreams about work, and then had to get up early and go to work!

Apparently it'll pass by 16 weeks Chops FX. Congrats on hitting 12 weeks!

I'm 6 weeks today. Only symptoms are occasional headaches, mild nausea, an occasional dull ache in the womb area and massive swollen, sore boobs. DH can't leave my boobs alone which is annoying as I'm feeling pretty unsexy. I hope they don't get too much bigger!!

MarysPrayer · 07/06/2015 09:47

Six weeks here too Oyster Smile Boobs are filling out a bit here too!

Thanks everyone for the sympathy and advice re sickness. I've tried everything except the wristbands so far. Haven't seen the doctor either but it takes a for for me to do that.

Oysterbabe · 07/06/2015 17:32

Sounds like you've been having a worse time than me so far Mary !
I think my sickness is coming though. Appetite is completely gone and having to force myself to eat today.

MarysPrayer · 07/06/2015 18:47

I've gone off almost all foods except crisps and ham sandwiches. I'm even finding drinks are a struggle. On the plus side I've (inadvertently) kicked my coke and chocolate habit Shock

loopylou1984 · 07/06/2015 19:26

Sorry to hear you're all feeling poorly Hmm, hope the sickness goes away soon! Xx

chopsface · 07/06/2015 19:38

I've finally had a good day! Tired, but hardly any nausea! Could it be I'm coming out of the other side?! I've cooked and eaten a proper dinner too instead of re heating junk. One thing I don't like though is the gross taste I get in my mouth after eating or drinking ANYTHING.

Hope your nausea doesn't get too bad oyster.

Fantastic news Chops.
I cooked a roast today and only managed the potatoes. See you on the other side!
