Come put your feet up in the Zen den and let the dh's wait on us hand and foot whilst we nurture the fruit of their loins in our bellies :-)

Lovely pic Dojo x

dojo123 · 27/05/2015 13:45

Thank you ladies..

Marys We told immediate family a couple of weeks ago even though as soon as I did I was nervous. Now we have had the twelve week scan I feel happier to tell more people. We won't be doing any facebook posts we are just going to tell friends and extended family as and when we see them or speak to them.

tessiegirl · 27/05/2015 15:29

purdie your HCG levels looked great you must be chuffed. Now let's hope that little bean stays sticky and Nancy gets her little brother or sister.

Mummyofonesofar · 27/05/2015 22:11

Really happy for you dojo x

dojo123 · 27/05/2015 22:18

Thank you mummy you are very kind. I have been thinking of you a lot today and how I wished this for you. I know this isn't probably helping now but I do hope you can take time to recover and when you feel ready try again.

Mummyofonesofar · 27/05/2015 22:31

We will dojo. I don't want to make this bus sad or worried. I am genuinely happy for you all x

mslightyear · 28/05/2015 07:25

Jam on toast makes a healthy diet.... right?

babsbunny · 28/05/2015 07:38

One of your five a day and fibre...what could be wrong with that?

mslightyear · 28/05/2015 08:41

hmmm its warburtons white bread and Robinson's seedless.

Ah well.... if it stays down its got to be a winner, right?

Oysterbabe · 28/05/2015 16:24

We went out for lunch and I ordered a pork pie. It was really good then I had a panic as suddenly thought it might have liver in it. Then back at my sister in laws she made me a cup of tea and I flapped and didn't know how to not drink it without her figuring out I'm avoiding caffeine so I drank it. I know one cup of tea will be ok. This is a ball ache innit.
Can't wait until I can tell people.

mslightyear · 28/05/2015 16:52

oh oyster its a pain in the derriere. I'm such a tea-aholic but ive totally gone off it. That alone is enough to arouse suspicion. Therefore I can't go anywhere where anyone will offer me a brew!

dojo123 · 28/05/2015 17:01

I have managed to get away with asking for mint tea, it's amazing how many people have it so was in luck.
I was offered tiramisu for dessert at a friends quiet early on, I knew it was homemade and therefore contained raw eggs, so I unfortunately had to say I was full. Normally I would have devoured the whole serving bowl given the chance.

chopsface · 28/05/2015 17:35

Most people know I've been caffeine free for the last year so I don't get offered tea/coffee any more.

I have food panics quite a lot. I wanted some cheesecake last weekend. Google said it was ok to eat shop bought as long as it was made with pastuerised (sp!) Ingredients. Does it say on the box? No! Also I wanted some of those 2 minute to cook filled pasta things, and they all contained ricotta! I'm not sure that's allowed? Anyone? Also had a prawn mayo sandwich last week as it was the only filling I fancied in the mealdeal. Its so hard to know what's best!

Oh I've been eating prawn Mayo, I think it's fine. But you do suddenly become paranoid about everything. One of my pregnant friends asked me if I was washing my prewashed salad. Errr no! Ooops!

babsbunny · 28/05/2015 19:06

The pasta things are a pain. I speby ages in waitrose looking for ricotta free ones the other day. Found tomato and mozzarella. All good. Get home read the back, full of ricotta and no mozzarella on the ingredients!
After much googling, are them anyway. Think ricotta is safe, especially if heated through...

babsbunny · 28/05/2015 19:07

*spent

Oysterbabe · 28/05/2015 19:16

I think most cheeses are ok if cooked but I'll be sticking mostly to cheddar for safety Hmm

babsbunny · 28/05/2015 19:22

It's fine oyster. In about a week and a half, you probably won't want to eat anything anyway!

Oysterbabe · 28/05/2015 19:39

Ha! Grin

Currently making DH drink a bottle of wine so that I can fill the empty bottle with grape juice and pretend to be drinking when we have friends over next week.

dojo123 · 28/05/2015 20:00

Love that oyster great plan.

chopsface · 28/05/2015 20:29

What are you going to do if your friends ask you for a glass of wine?!

Feeling really poorly bad tonight :-( woke up feeling less sick and had a really good day, only getting nauseous when hungry and not going to locker to snack every hour. Then suddenly from nowhere at 4.20 I felt really sick and dizzy and barely made it home! Serves me right thinking I was finally on the mend!

Oysterbabe · 28/05/2015 20:53

I'll be hostess and popping to the fridge to get wine to top up their glasses. I'll tuck my bottle in the back of the fridge and just make sure I use that one for mine. I'll be drinking it when they get there and I'll tell them I want to stick to the same kind.

Sorry to hear you're feeling bad! You're coming to the end of it now though, people say it dies down after 12 weeks or so.
