Come put your feet up in the Zen den and let the dh's wait on us hand and foot whilst we nurture the fruit of their loins in our bellies :-)

mummy your son sounds lovely and so thoughtful. You have a very special boy there.

mslightyear · 26/05/2015 12:26

awww mummy your ds sounds like a remarkable little boy!

chopsface · 26/05/2015 12:51

Ladies, I work in hospital labs where we receive 'products' for testing. I guess we use that term to distance ourselves from the reality of what it really is or we would be upset all the time! At patient contact that term should really not be used in my opinion because of course its more than that to the poor parents.

Ahh Mummy, what a gorgeous boy you have there.

Mummyofonesofar · 26/05/2015 14:09

He is 6, 7 in September. I am very proud of him. I have always been very open with him, I am sure not everyone would agree but it works for us. He has wiped my tears this weekend and is so loving.

mslightyear · 27/05/2015 07:00

dojo Happy scan day!!

Hope the rest of y'all are OK x

Oysterbabe · 27/05/2015 07:05

Morning!
How is everyone feeling today? I feel pretty good. Braved the scales this morning Confused Trouble is I gained a stone stuffing my face on honeymoon and now I can't really diet to lose it.
I've discovered DH is nervous about DTD since getting our bfp. I'm sure he'll get over it!

babsbunny · 27/05/2015 07:25

My dh won't touch me til he knows the baby is safe.....my scan is not for another 3.5 weeks.....sigh....

babsbunny · 27/05/2015 07:27

On a less frustrated note, got my booking in appointment today. Finally some contact with the maternity world!

Oysterbabe · 27/05/2015 08:03

Good luck Babs!
I've just picked up the forms I need to fill in for mine.

HeirToTheIronThrone · 27/05/2015 08:54

Oh god, we haven't dtd since I got my BFP - I am 14+3 today! Blush it's all been to do with how horribly sick and tired I've felt... Poor DH!

I'm at the hospital waiting to go in for my quad blood tests. Happy scan to you Dojo!

chopsface · 27/05/2015 09:57

We've dtd once since the bfp when we were on our hols. I was dead scared though. Everything seemed to be super sensitive though and I had to Google is it safe to orgasm when preg, but after the event! (it is by the way)

Oysterbabe · 27/05/2015 10:00

Well we've DTD once since our bfp 2 days ago Blush #newlyweds
I think we'll just be a bit gentle until we know things are ok.

tessiegirl · 27/05/2015 10:03

Morning everyone Smile

We haven't dtd since bfp either! I am 11 weeks today.... Confused

Great news about booking in app babs!

Good luck for scan today *Dojo

Good luck with blood test Heir

I am frustrated and getting a bit pissed off with my midwife tbh. So, as we are abroad we need to arrange flights back to UK in time for scans and check ups and she is fully aware of our situation. Now I have my 12 week scan date, it was left that I would contact her to arrange my 16 week check up with her as soon as I knew dates of flights etc. Everytime I call her mobile, it goes to voicemail. I leave a message and text her (as she told me to) and she never gets back to me. I can appreciate they are busy but surely she must pick up her messages and should call back asap?! I will try again today and if not call the midwife hub and ask what is going on....rant over Angry

dojo123 · 27/05/2015 10:24

Morning. Here is a piccy of Chip. I'm measuring 12wk + 2 so my revised estimated due date is 7th Dec.

tessiegirl · 27/05/2015 10:31

Lovely pic of Chip dojo Can I ask, how many weeks/days did you think you were before the scan today? Is there quite a difference?

Oysterbabe · 27/05/2015 10:38

Awww. Hi Chip!

dojo123 · 27/05/2015 11:11

tessie if I went from my lmp then I thought I was 12wks today. If i went from the day I thought I ovulated (16th March) then I would be 12+2. I tested on 30th March at 14dpo and got my BFP.

dojo123 · 27/05/2015 12:12

Oh and on the DTD. DH and I have DTD a few times since our BFP. We didn't when I had thrush obvs! (TMI) but we did on Friday night (which I initiated!). I want to make sure that our physical relationship remains healthy throughout the pregnancy, also I think DH was getting used to lots of DTD when TTC, now the pressure is off it is far more fun!!

MarysPrayer · 27/05/2015 13:15

Aw, hello little chip! Great news dojo. Are you officially telling everyone now or have you already spread the good news?

To those expecting their second - can you just register directly with a midwife? With dd I remember seeing my gp first but was just directed to the midwife. I think, anyway. It's been a while!

Feeling a bit queasy here and I have a migraine. It's all good! Grin
