Come put your feet up in the Zen den and let the dh's wait on us hand and foot whilst we nurture the fruit of their loins in our bellies :-)

Hello everyone, can I join please?

Flew back to Sarajevo yesterday after having spent a month back in the UK...kind of nice to be back as I missed the cat but feeling rough with a cold Sad. Will have a catch up....

tessiegirl · 11/05/2015 11:26

Ah Chops I can relate to your worries! Apart from feeling so tired from mid afternoon onwards and a little bit of nausea sometimes in the morning and during dinner, I feel relatively normal too!! When I went for early scan on Friday I even told the sonographer I wasn't entirely convinced there was anything in there despite about 20 odd positive tests!!! But sure enough, little bean was there!! Amazing to hear and see the heartbeat so going to try to relax a bit now Confused

Dojo I have also had lots of cm - tmi but sometimes I feel it gushing out Blush

Also, I can't remember who mentioned it but I have the most horrendous wind!!!! DH keeps laughing! Blush

I also bought a pair of maternity jeans so I have them in the wardrobe here when I need them as I'm not sure where I would find anything like that on sale here...

It's hard to believe that I have had my booking in appointment with midwife already and 12 week scan date came through the other day...nerve wrecking but exciting!

Mummyofonesofar · 11/05/2015 11:28

tessie am I right in remembering you have a DD? Did she miss you?

I am confused with New Look sizings - I am a 12 but all the trousers have the size then L then a number but it can't be leg length because lots say L32?? Confused

Mummyofonesofar · 11/05/2015 11:30

Ok worked out it is inches.... Blush

wotsits1 · 11/05/2015 11:44

Haha mummy it took me a while! I ordered a 12 L32.... which I think is a standard leg length!

tessiegirl · 11/05/2015 12:20

Mummy we have a dd fur baby but not a dd child!! Smile but yes I think the fur baby missed me! She is being particularly affectionate since she came back from the pet hotel last night, bless her! Grin

Mummyofonesofar · 11/05/2015 13:36

wotsits None of the over the bump ones are my size Sad

tessie oops! Must have got muddled there! Aww cute - pet hotel!

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 11/05/2015 16:52

Welcome back tessie I was wondering how you got on at your scan, so definitely only one in there?
mummy didn't over bump in my size either.

tessiegirl · 11/05/2015 16:57

No worries Mummy! Yes the Pet Hotel, they even come to the house to collect her in the pet taxi!! Lots of the expats here use them when they go away on hols so they have a really good reputation and we feel happy leaving her there. DH even jokes that it works out cheaper for her to stay there than when she is at home with us!!

Scan was amazing Purple and great for reassurance at this stage. Yes, definitely only one in there!! Grin

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 11/05/2015 17:20

So last week Dr said just do another test then pop in and get the details for midwife. Just rang the reception and they say that's wrong I have to see the Dr again -.next available appointment not till 26/5 or I can ring in the morning and get an emergency appointment but I don't want to take up a space for someone who really needs it! This is all new to me surely it's not meant to be that hard.

tessiegirl · 11/05/2015 17:34

Very annoying Purple, I wonder why the Doctor told you to do another test? Anyway, I would just make an emergency appointment if they can't get their system sorted out. You need to get your appointment with midwife underway...

chopsface · 11/05/2015 18:31

I didn't even need to see a GP purple! I had a telephone consultation where he wrote my LMP in my notes and told me to take vit D! I had to get a form from reception to fill out and send to the midwives. I'm 8+1 today and no date for booking in yet!

tessie! Hi. How many weeks are you now? Are you a week or 2 ahead of me?

I felt worse in week 6 than I did in week 7 and now entering week 8. Was a bit dodgy yesterday though. Maybe its the Maltese climate? We shall see how I feel when I hit UK soil tomorrow! Getting up at 6 for the airport transfers isn't gonna go down well though....

tessiegirl · 11/05/2015 19:07

At my surgery, the GP sent my details to the midwife himself...I didn't have to fill out any forms. Funny how they are all different!

Chops I am 8+5 today so only 4 days ahead of you!! Smile

chopsface · 11/05/2015 19:15

Oh I thought you were more ahead than that! Did you poas early? I poas really late lol! I chat to another cycle buddy on FB who is exactly the same EDD etc but she got her bfp at 9dpo and I got mine at 17dpo so it doesn't feel like we should be the same lol!

At our hospital you refer yourself! I went to my GP and he took all my info and booked me an early reassurance scan with the early preggo unit... but then he just gave me a phone number and you call a hospital maternity hotline. They take all your info and book your 'booking in' for around the 7 week mark. Super easy!

chopsface · 11/05/2015 19:32

I guess I might have an appointment lying on my doormat when we get back from hols tomorrow....

dojo123 · 11/05/2015 19:38

Evening all. Have been lying on my bed since 4:30 this afternoon. Not because I'm feeling unwell it's just been nice not to do anything for a couple of hours!!

Still suffering from nausea and dizziness. Couldn't manage to finish my bowl of cereal this morning. Ryvita cracker bread is great though, properly bland! But then this afternoon fancied a milkshake. Ended up drinking a litre of chocolate milk! Ooops.

Also might have got a little carried away with the credit card this morning. Saw some maternity sale stuff on gap so bought a few things, then went up next, then M&S. Finished off by buying new bras on bravissimo. Hoping that a lot will be returning. Hmm

dojo123 · 11/05/2015 19:39

Also welcome tessie waves

babsbunny · 11/05/2015 21:10

Hi girls. Glad to see the bus is moving again!

Hi Tessie!

Purple, where are you based? You can just self refer to you hospital of choice in London. GP does nothing anyways. Google your hospital maternity self referral. It may be the same where you are.

babsbunny · 11/05/2015 21:15

Oh dojo. Hope you are ok. It's pants having no appetite. I am feeling guilty about not eating much.

Fruit pastilles ice lollies are the answer to all my problems just now ....

So told my boss today. She gave me a big hug when I told her, and said "I know you are darling". Talk about busted. She was so sweet tho. I feel better that they know.

Yokyil · 11/05/2015 22:42

That's good news babs I find it so hard not saying yet! 1st GP appointment today -just to get in the system. Referring me for an early reassurance scan so fx I'll hear something from that soon Smile apart from that my wind has been terrible tonight - sorry it's tmi ladies Blush proper sore trapped wind. Need to make a trip to Tesco and pick up a basket full of bland food, crackers, cereal bars, ginger ale, ginger tea etc I'll try anything lol

Giddymamma · 11/05/2015 22:42

Aw, what a lovely reaction babs! I work for a load of men who will get me out of the meeting room ASAP after announcement and then panic and ring hr immediately to check they haven't said anything inappropriate. :)

Giddymamma · 11/05/2015 22:46

I also have an emergency stash of rocket ice lollies in the freezer, but I am enjoying fruit salad with yoghurt and granola. and nicking oh's penguins....

HeirToTheIronThrone · 12/05/2015 07:49

It is FINALLY my first scan today at 12+6! I am excited and terrified in equal measure...

babsbunny · 12/05/2015 07:54

Ooh. Good luck heir! Are you the first on the grad bus to reach this milestone?
