I know a lot of people at work will be chuffed to bits at our news. Told who
I need to at work to get the health and safety check done and for people to cover what I am no longer meant to do discreetly!

Decided we are finally telling my parents this weekend presuming my early scan Thursday is ok! Dh told his last weekend though! Can't let my folks find out that the in laws found out 2 weeks before them though, scandal!

So rang the Dr this morning got a different receptionist who said no you don't need to see Dr just fill in a form and she'll fax it to the midwife!. So all done now have to wait for them to call me to make an appointment.

We have told our close family and I have also told my four closest friends who knew we were trying and would ask me everytime we meet up how things are going so I knew I wouldn't be able to keep it from them for long! Plus I figured if anything did go wrong I would tell them all anyway. We are waiting to tell everyone else until after the 12 week scan... Ugh, still feeling yuck with my cold today. DH came home with a load of shopping last night but the lemons were disgusting - they leave fruit/veg to go mouldy on the shelves here - and all I fancied was a hot lemon and honey drink so he went out again, bless him and found me some lemons! I was over the moon!!!!

Purple Glad you got it sorted with the Dr, lots of GPs have no idea of the systems they are meant to follow!!

Me update, I really panicked last night, I had some pink spotting when wiping and even a bright red --tiniest clot in the world—dot on the tissue. The midwives had closed and it didn’t happen again so I haven’t told them as hoping it was normal. I am panicking a little about which midwife I am at too, I don’t want to give birth in the hospital in their area, but I might change my mind and want to give birth at home. But then again none of that will matter if I go into labour at Christmas when visiting family down South!

mummy are you ok? Hope it's just further implantation spotting and nothing to worry about.

I am ok, just tried not to worry, I haven't called them today, I will if I have any more though. It jsut reminded me how precious it still is at the size of a lentil and how it could all change. 6w+2 today so thought implantation would have stopped, unless it is the placenta starting to form and a little bit came away.

Unfortunately I think bleeding can happen at any time and could be any number of things. I would keep and eye on things and if you experience any further bleeding go to hospital. I would still notify your midwife (if you have one yet) just so they have a note of it.

mummy my best friend had a big bleed with a 50p sized clot at 5wk 5 days. She went to the epu and got an early peek at bean and all was fine. she had her 12 wk scan today and is fab!

mummy where is your local epu? Can you not phone them for advice? Thats what my friend did and they called her straight in for a scan.

I'm sure all will be fine mummy. Have you had any pain?

Well I had an "ooch" pain on Sunday, a twinge that made me put my hand there but nothing since. My local epu is 30 miles away from home, but I dont want to bother them as it was only a little bit - but I would love to see little bean and make sure everything is ok.

Thanks everyone, I feel sick with nerves. Just trying to force down some toast to try and stop it before we head to the hospital... Will update later!

Ok I just spoke to a lovely sounding midwife who said not to panic and that lots of women have a little spotting at 6 weeks as the egg digs a little deeper into the uterus but that if it increases or I get cramping then to get back in touch.

Am I allowed to pop over and say hi? Just been catching up on all your news. I'm marginally jealous but really pleased to see you all here :) good luck ladies. Xxx
