mama i really am so sorry, more prayers being said for you to have comfort.

Sorry for being a bit me me at the momo but anxiety levels are high.. but DH is in a conference and i cannot contact him.

So after my GP receptionist said to go to EPU i walked over ( they are that close as i live in Tooting near St Georges Hosp) I had a blood test my first dildo scan then another tummy one then another blood test (finger prick one) which showed i am majorly dehydated, not eating enough to digest food properly and my joints in my pelvis as inflamed on top hence the pain and i have mega gas shhhh . My bloods showed i am carrying an infection somewhere but no idea where as i have no temp or anything other than mental Ms.

I was alone but had a second dildo scan about an hour after the first before i left to have my drip where i was allowed to see the screen for the first time and saw a wiggly wavy bean, so proceeded to sob uncontrollably as they had forgotten to tell me that it was fine/alive and 48mm big and was too scared to ask the first time as they were in a rush and i felt like a fraud for being there. Sitting here on a drip in a busy general outpatients waiting room ( lovely NHS) to hydrate and antibios and not feeling like a fraud anymore-- once they realised no one had told me bean was fine.. they were soooo kind!

Also, my scan revealed that my 5+3 week scan was wrong and i am no longer due 8th Nov but 31st oct.. looking at my baby making calender.. this looks rather immaculate conception! So no longer 10w+3 but 11w+4.

Hope everyone else is doing better.

tootsroots · 15/04/2015 12:17

bleached your blood test sounds nasty, are you allowed to lie down to have it that seems to help some people?
Thanks for all the support. Not sure i would have stayed this side of sane without you lovelies.

laura good luck at the scan!
ehealy what time is this program on - i love call the midwife and used to like OBEM but now it is a little too real... and DH just giggles through it.

roughtyping · 15/04/2015 13:16

toots I'm glad bean is ok. So sorry you're feeling rotten.

The last few days have seen me being in pain from heartburn before bed. It's horrible! I didn't get it last time until the end of 3rd trimester!

Focusfocus · 15/04/2015 13:39

Mamama I am so sorry to read this. Devastated doesn't begin to express what you feel. Please be very kind to yourself and allow yourself plenty of time to grieve this loss.

Oh no I didn't want to read bad news so sorry mamma xxx

Lauramum23 · 15/04/2015 13:52

I feel bad for putting me news on now.

My scan went well but I also had to have a "dildo" one too! Ewww. I took my mother in case of bad news like last time. Anyways Prawn is measuring 8+2 like I thought It should be so I'm pleased it measures my ovulation dates, heartbeat was seen so for now I'm pleased but will be thankful to get to 12 weeks now as I know things still can happen. Oh and I was happy there was only 1! Twins in my family!!
So I think I'm due around 24th November, coincidentally my mums birthday! Smile

Crumbelina · 15/04/2015 14:23

Oh Mama, I'm so, so sorry to hear your news - it's just awful. Sad You've been fabulous on this thread. We'll be thinking of you. Flowers

ehealy · 15/04/2015 14:26

My scan went fine a strong heartbeat such a relief. I'm so sorry for those who have mmc. Baby measures exactly 9+3 I guess I was 50/50 as to my expectations.

Oh Mamama. You are in my thoughts. Be kind to yourself.

annatha · 15/04/2015 15:10

I'm so sorry mamama, look after yourself. Flowers

bleached I hate blood tests too, I almost fainted when I had my first ever one at my booking for dd. It doesn't help that they always struggle to find my vein. Honestly though as your pregnancy goes on they get easier as you get used to it being a regular thing. The glucose test isn't pleasant but as someone else said see if you can lie down and make sure you take a sandwich and sugary drink for afterwards so you can get something in you right away.

AmandaMae · 15/04/2015 15:12

So sorry, mamama. I've been there.

And toots, you poor love - what a roller coaster! So glad to hear the bean is doing well, even if youre feeling like dog crap. If you would consider taking medication, I've been prescribed Cyclizine and Metoclopromide and whilst it hasn't made me feel completely better, I can certainly keep enough down (both food and liquids) and sime days i feel close to normal. Perhaps it's worth a try? Take care of yourself - it's truly horrendous feeling so bad. People don't understand how awful it is. Lots of love.

annatha · 15/04/2015 15:13

Oh and if you have an iPad load it with your favourite film, the time passes much more quickly! (I had to do it twice as they gave me the test in the wrong order... Angry)

flyingsprocket · 15/04/2015 15:23

So so sorry mamama it's just so unfair

FlossyLil · 15/04/2015 15:52

Mamama so sorry to hear your news, take care of yourself xxx

toots glad that although you are feeling crap, that your little bean is all good! and Laura yours too Smile

BowiesJumper · 15/04/2015 15:58

toots you poor thing! It sounds like you've been really poorly. I hope you feel better soon, and great news on the healthy little one!

SnozzberryPie · 15/04/2015 16:16

So sorry to hear your news mamama.

Just had my booking appointment. It all went well. I saw the same midwife as I saw in my last pregnancy which was lovely, she remembered lots of details about my last pg (probably because she'd read my notes before the appointment, but still seemed like a nice touch Smile). She got blood out of my arm on the second attempt, which isn't bad going for me.

She was really positive when I mentioned wanting a homebirth this time too, despite having quite a few complications in labour last time.

I now have to wait to get my scan date through the post.

tootsroots · 15/04/2015 16:18

thanks ladies... my Boss needed me in work ( we are majorly up against it at the momo resource wise and i am team head) so i ended coming in at 2pm. (MAJOR brownie points and ultra bonus points) Currently drinking coconut water and channeling cola bottles and jelly babies for more sugar!

Tubes are rank today too. bleugh. People are STINKY.

Feel like i have done a time warp moving from 10- 11 weeks in 3 hours!

I asked for meds 2 weeks ago from my GP amanda but she said no , she said she coped with three pgs being ill and its a rite of passage , not even a whiff of a sick note! She even said my pelvic pain was part of pg and for me to rest int he evenings and weekends. Sort of scared/pleased that the midwife so horrified by how bad i got, will tell GP in 2-3 weeks when i can get an appt.... enjoying being a martyr for a short while whilst high on sugar
