Woops, posted on old thread so I'll repeat myself!

I think we conceived on the 12th or 13th Feb (going by +opk). I saw 50 shades (after that), it was on of the least erotic things I'd seen though (soooo boring!!) and would have had the opposite effect on me! Ha.

Lovely weather today, I've broken out one of my summer skirts! Probably won't be able to wear it in the actual summer so will enjoy while I can!

One thing - nipples. Mine have gone really dark and big (the areolas that is) - I noticed in the mirror as I was getting into the shower this morning. Very weird!

ThreeBeanRap · 14/04/2015 10:27

8+3 here. My spotting seems to have stopped which is a real relief. I had a doctor appointment this morning and they referred me for an early scan on Thursday morning, so fingers crossed for then. Still worried but feeling a bit better. And it's sunny!

Poppyninja · 14/04/2015 11:02

I'd love to eat more healthily but can't stomach anything not beige or carb related. Serious bloating going on!

Also not exercising at all which is v unusual for me. Hoping to get swimming or yoga/ tai chi soon when I start to feel more human again. I used to do a lot of martial arts and high intensity stuff, but as hubby is the teacher and midwife looked horrified, I've been banned. Humpfh.

Would also be nice to not looks so grey and spotty. That'll be the shit diet and MS then!

Thanks for starting the new thread focus

CishAndFips · 14/04/2015 11:08

thanks for the new thread focus. Anybody else comletly lacking motivation? i have so much to do but im sat veging on the couch because i just cant be bothered

mrswishywashy · 14/04/2015 11:34

I take folic acid the prescribed one 5mg.
Vitamin d, seven seas prenatal amd omega 3,6 and 9.
Midwife said only to take folic acid and vitamin d.

I'm glad this bb was conceived on Valentine's Day, not related to fifty shades of grey at all. Two and a half weeks until 12 week scan and I'll be 13 weeks. Am feeling far less tired and nauseous, in fact I didn't realise how ill I was feeling until I've started feeling better. Hope my little fig is doing ok, so want to see him healthy at scan.

Frescoed · 14/04/2015 12:14

Thanks for the new thread focus. Another possible 50 shades conception here, though it probably reflects the amount of alcohol we needed to get through the film....

Had a bit of a scary end to last week with some bleeding and cramping; EPU were fab, got a scan on Sunday morning, all looks fine and things are back to normal now.

Trying to keep up with the exercise, my gym have been fantastic at adapting stuff a bit which helps.

Lauramum23 · 14/04/2015 12:31

I haven't seen 50 shades yet, read the books but don't fancy the film much, il wait till it comes on sky.
I'm in demand at the moment with work and hairdressing can't believe it I've not been doing much since my 6 year old was born now I get up the duff everyone wants a piece of me ! I feel like buggering off in a cave or something!

ninjabeer · 14/04/2015 12:32

Just had my booking in so it is beginning to feel real. As soon as she left though I fell sound asleep. Now I have to go back to work. Boo!

Can't believe how exhausted I'm feeling.

TakesTwoToTango · 14/04/2015 12:39

Morning all! Not seen or read 50 shades here, this baby is definitely a conception timed (all being well!) to fit in with other life plans! Still feeling a bit grotty here. Also no motivation whatsoever to do exercise. My only chance is in the evenings when DH is home from work and he kids are in bed and I'm so exhausted by then. Keep saying I'll re-start the exercise regime tomorrow but so far, tomorrow has not come! Maybe this week Wink Not stood on the scales either as all our stuff is still in the process of being shipped from UK so heaven knows what impact the lifestyle change, lack of exercise and bizzare eating habits have had on my weight. Still spotting slightly. 3 weeks until my 12 weeks scan (at 12+3) feels like a lifetime!

Mamama31 · 14/04/2015 12:42

Well I managed not to have mcdonalds or subway for lunch...but I did make pancakes with bacon, scrambled egg and maple syrup! it was delightful but feel I need a snooze before going back to work....no wonder after all that food!!!

Scan tomorrow praying hard to see a heartbeat this time....please please please!

tootsroots · 14/04/2015 12:43

Hello!! been watching the chatting but no energy to join in and work and be nice to DH so had to prioritise.

So sorry for your loss spartacus be kind to yourself and for DP.

I am eating veggie ok, i lie... a cheese/beige food and sicking up meat ... i have not put on a lb yet, so i am happy as one of the things i am most anxious about is weight gain being 12st 13 and 5'8 means i am overweight already.

Other than the extreme pelvic pain, have a sexy belt for this now and all day nausea and ability to sleep more than a sloth.. not a smudge of a symptom. unless you call cannot be assed to work one... anyone struggling not to day dream or look up 'pregnant 10+3' updates...?

Focusfocus · 14/04/2015 12:43

How do you describe that feeling of feeling hungry, but sat staring at a plate of food because you dont fancy eating. Feeling really hungry, tummy rumbling, but the sight of food makes e nose turn up automatically.

Those scans are stunning, GREAT incubation going on!!!!Cake Biscuit

Scan is 27th April as though I was offered 26th, DH is doing the Marathon so needed to delay a day but they were cool with that, they booked it whilst i was sitting in the booking in appt. Have my blood test on the 19th .. a Sunday!! Go NHS, let's see if they can keep up the good admin. Anyone else using the St Georges baby producing machine? hosp?

tootsroots · 14/04/2015 12:45

focus i have that too!!! i can be sitting in front of a Croissant and be like... yuk. I need Cheerios.

I think it is called 1st Trimester Dietitis.

newbian · 14/04/2015 12:50

I've never seen 50 Shades (or read it) but I think I ovulated just before Valentine's Day. We had just moved to a new country on Feb 1 and I was certain the stress would make conception extremely unlikely - but we ended up DTD every other day all month and that's all it took. I won't bother with temping/OPKs again!

Focusfocus · 14/04/2015 13:04

Just had a great conversation with my boss on my plans for maternity leave and shared parental leave (DH going for shared parental leave, for three months yeah!) and it was extremely supportive and productive and I am all set! Boss is nearing 60, and male btw.

roughtyping · 14/04/2015 14:27

Hi everyone, and lovely shiny new bus Smile

Very jealous of you all who have sun! It's decidely grey here Envy hmph!

Have my scan on Thursday morning. DS is away with my parents for a couple of nights - he was sooo excited last night and this morning. He's going to be over the moon when we tell him.

Anyone else still getting bad bad anxiety? I know I keep posting about it but don't want to keep saying to DH. I'm convinced/terrified we'll go on Thursday and there'll be nothing there. More convinced than terrified tbh. Too good to be true etc.

Distracting myself watching Game of Thrones & Grimm. Having a day doing absolutely zilch Smile about to go and make a bagel, yum!

Blueblink · 14/04/2015 14:28

Hello all! Just place marking and saying thank you to those who gave me advise yesterday on my friend who was a bit off when I told her i was pg yesterday. After a chat with her this morning it seems that she has been ttc since November and has only had one period in that time :-( I'll try to be a bit more sensitive i think!
I had a scan this morning at 9+4 (they bumped for forward a whole day!) It was actually AMAZING!! My baby pug was boucing around, waving at us and even gave us a smile (according to the sonographer anyway!!) I'm in love Smile I think we'll tell my parents tonight.

roughtyping · 14/04/2015 14:28

ann I'm really not 100% but I think you can be off at the same time, but would both be on reduced pay? Someone posted a great link, I'm sure I bookmarked it, will have a look.

Know what you mean about the anxiety roughtyping, I'd kept a lid on it until the end of last then got a bit kiboshed... Felt great all Sunday morning after the scan, but that's faded fast. I feel a bit superstitious about the whole thing really.

Crumbelina · 14/04/2015 14:52

Roughtyping I'm having a bit of an anxious day today. If my (Saturday) blood test for Downs shows anything high risk then I'm due to get a phone call from the hospital in the next couple of days. My mobile is in front of me and I can't help staring at it.

That sad news about your friend Blue - has she seen a GP about getting tests? I know it's relatively early days but I went to the GP after 6 months TTC (and said I'd been trying a year) and the time between that and actually getting in front of a specialist at a hospital was many, many months. Obviously it felt worse for me as I was 35-36 at the time.

Crumbelina · 14/04/2015 14:54

Oh and great news on the scan, Blue! Smile Congrats!
