Takestwo did they ever say what they think the cause of yours was? Given that you always have it during pregnancy? It totally scares me, I do get used to it but when I notice a bit more than usual I get freaked out again :( just wish it would stop! It's very unnerving!

BlueBananas · 14/04/2015 19:04

Here you all are! Thought you'd all left me for a minute!
Well I'm 10+2 and getting more tired by the day, honestly think I could sleep for a week I I didn't have kids!
I also just can not stop eating! It's ridiculous the amount of food I'm putting away, just today I've had -
2 slices of Nutella on toast & a banana
2 ham salad muffins & a penguin
An apple, a bowl of grapes & a pork pie
A big fat portion of chilli, rice, tortilla crisps & sour cream
Now I'm thinking what else I can eat so I'm sat in the bath to distract myself from the kitchen
Someone make stop!!!

stickytoffeegirl · 14/04/2015 19:05

Blueblink I'm in a similar situation with my friend so I'm a bit nervous about telling her. Not sure how to approach it.

Vitamins - I got given healthy start vitamins at my booking in appt for free and apparently you get these for a few months after the baby is born, has anyone else had these?

BlueBananas · 14/04/2015 19:33

Does anyone else's pregnancy app keep giving them tips on how not to give in to pregnancy cravings?? Confused why would I fight them?!

annatha · 14/04/2015 19:38

Today I'm craving a bath and a nap, but dd has other ideasSad

SnozzberryPie · 14/04/2015 20:00

Whoever asked about vitamins , the Dr advised me that the two we really need are folic acid and vitamin d. I'm taking them separately as I'm also rubbish with big tablets (I can can only take paracetamol with yogurt Blush). I'm also taking floradix as I was anaemic in my last pg and want to avoid it this time.

Lauramum23 · 14/04/2015 20:16

Bluebananas you are absolutely right why would you fight the urge for example those nutritious super noodles!? Smile
I can't have an app yet cos my nosy children poke their noses in and find it! And I don't want them to know too early this time

TakesTwoToTango · 14/04/2015 20:19

mama the first two times no, it was never identified what caused it. Possible theories were a small implantion bleed (sub chorionic haematoma) or sensitive cervix (cervical erosion). This time around the early bleeding was heavier and red and although the couldn't see the cause then (at 6 weeks) at the second scan they could see a bit of a bleed around the sac which the dr described as being from part of the placenta trying and failing to embed properly in a blood vessel, causing a bit of a leak. They said it should hopefully not cause any problems and should resove itself.

Mamama31 · 14/04/2015 20:23

Oh yes takestwo I remember you saying about this now! Gah! I wish the spotting would do one! Suppose if everything is ok and there is a HB at my scan tomorrow I should relax as it's obvs not causing a problem...but would just prefer not to have the spotting at all! does the worry ever end?! I guess not, if it wasn't this no doubt it would be worry over something else....like the fact I'm eating like a large horse!

NewMrsX · 14/04/2015 20:30

sticky I got the healthy start ones too... Love them cus they're so tiny! They said I'll get given some at every midwife appointment so that will save me some money Smile

doomclaw · 14/04/2015 20:33

Wow - 4 pages into the new thread already! Just marking my place.

9 weeks today and definitely less nauseous (which of course just makes me worry more) but feeling a little more human today.

Nice to see some scan photos coming in now

mrsscarlettbutler · 14/04/2015 20:39

Hello everyone - just catching up after being away since Easter. We went to France for the week and had a lovely time, although my nausea seemed to peak while we were there and I felt quite awful. Good thing we were on holiday as I took to having afternoon naps which was very nice! Sadly back at work now and no such luxuries.

We had a scan just before we went at 9 + 1 and all looked fine. Last bleed was a few weeks ago and I was starting to breathe a little easier. However, last night just before I went to bed, bleeding started again. Bright red blood at first that quite quickly turned brown and then i've had brown spotting all day today. I think this is the 5th time this has happened now - the only difference with this time is that it happened at night whereas every other time it's been within an hour or so of me getting up in the morning. Any of you other spotters had anything like this? It's just so scary seeing bright red blood.

My 12 week scan is next Thursday so I guess I'll just wait until that rather than going to EPU but I am feeling very anxious again - second guessing every twinge/pain. We flew back yesterday and on the recommendation of the doctor who did our last scan, I took a baby aspirin before the flight - so I'm wondering if that could have had any bearing on the bleeding. Ugh, not really loving this few weeks.

Hope everyone else is getting some relief from nausea/sore boobs etc Flowers

BlueBananas · 14/04/2015 20:44

LauraMum exactly! If my baby wants super noodles I'm not going to deprive it now am I! Grin

Lauramum23 · 14/04/2015 21:00

My craving today was sugar puffs! Or as they now call themselves honey puffs! 10% daily sugar intakeShock omg tasted good tho! Only problem is my wee will smell like sugar puffs tomorrow!

CoffeeTwo · 14/04/2015 21:03

Hi all, this bus moved fast today! Thanks again for all the well wishes yesterday.

My spotting seems to have completely stopped so feeling good about that. Although my stomach is very sore today following the ultrasound as she was pressing so hard so now I'm worrying that she squished my tiny baby! There's always something to worry about isn't there! Trying to be a calm mama now.

Focus I'm the same as you with the feeling hungry but not wanting anything to eat. All food is unappealing right now. It's not sickness for me right now, just off food.

Rough I'm with you on the anxiety. It's crushing sometimes. Good luck for your scan I'm sure baby will be just fine, even though I know me saying that doesn't help!

ThreeBean glad your spotting has stopped! FX for your scan on Thurday :)

NotSpartcus I'm so so sorry to hear your sad news. It's too cruel. I hope you have a lot of support around you. Take care x

Congratulations on your lovely scans Amanda, NoMore, Fresco, Blue and anyone else I've missed.

mrsscarlet sorry about your spotting, fx for your scan on Thursday.

Mama good luck for your scan tomorrow!

Mamama31 · 14/04/2015 21:04

Mrsscarlett that is scary for you! I've only had very scant brown spotting most days for the last 3 weeks no red blood and no pain at all. But like you I'm analysing every single twinge, it's so stressful. I would get a scan from epu for reassurance but if you feel you can wait until your 12 week scan that would be your choice. I just panic and need to know as soon as possible if everything is ok. I'm having my 3rd scan tomorrow and only 7 and a half weeks! Hoping to finally see a heartbeat.

The spotting is such a worry! I feel your pain!

Mamama31 · 14/04/2015 22:01

OBEM....gets me every time....

HeirToTheIronThrone · 14/04/2015 22:02

Gosh this has sped up! I was looking at the end of the other bus about the November babies all being from Valentine's - I never thought of that! Though I think this one was conceived about the 26th. At my booking in the midwife said she and her colleague normally book about 15 women a month but for November they had 27 so far so there's clearly something in it.

I am much less nauseous and actually ate salad this evening. Of course I'm now worried about the lack of symptoms Confused

Bowies my nipples have got darker and bigger. They poke through a bra and everything. They are ridiculous Blush

Dixiebell · 14/04/2015 22:26

Wednesday is my day in the office in London ( as opposed to working from home), but DH is staying out tonight at a work do. So won't be here to do breakfast with my 2 boys tomorrow, which is normally when I'd get dressed for work. So somehow have to manage getting the two of them dressed and fed and ready and out of the door by 7.30 to catch my train... So plan was to go to bed really early and be up early to get ready before them. But it's 10.25 and I'm still faffing around on here. WHAT AM I DOING?! Argh. Slap me someone.

Mamama31 · 14/04/2015 22:42

Dixiebell SLAP! Go to sleep!

Crumbelina · 14/04/2015 23:01

Doomclaw, I really wouldn't worry about symptoms disappearing - it's likely that they'll be back in a few days (sorry!). I've worried about a lack of nausea/sore breasts/tiredness at 8, 9, and 11 weeks and yet here I am at 12 weeks with them all back on form.

Sticky, it might be better to email or text your friend so they can absorb the news. Someone posted on the infertility board a while ago asking about this and the general consensus was that an initial email/text was the way to go (if you think that would be appropriate).

NewMrsX · 14/04/2015 23:22

Good luck for your scan tomorrow mama

I've had some weird pregnancy 'symptoms' recently. Basically over the past few weeks I have zero tolerance for ditsy annoying women on tv. So I've basically been shouting at the telly when the likes of Kelly Brook and Sarah from Corrie are on screen Blush I don't know what's come over me!

I've also not been able to wear pj bottoms in bed cus they annoy me too much. I'm the type of person who always has to wear them regardless of how hot it is so this is major for me. These are definitely symptoms I did not expect Grin anyone else got any weird ones?

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 15/04/2015 06:47

I had a nice symptom before I even missed my period. It's definitely a pregnancy symptom because I noticed it with previous pregnancy as well and both times it made me 'know' I was pregnant.
It's nostalgia. I think it probably confess from having a slightly stronger sense of smell (but not yet strong enough to be retching at everything). You know how evocative a smell can be? I would just be walking along and suddenly be hit by a really strong and vivid memory of a moment I had when I visited Paris when I was 15 or a reminder of my granddad or something. I wouldn't quite know why that memory had suddenly issued so strongly to me. It was rather nice. Both times about a week before my missed period but very noticeable.

Another symptom is less nice- random fury at complete strangers for no reason. I cycle to work every morning and every morning I overtake the same woman who is riding in much too low a gear so her legs are moving really fast and she going really slowly. It used to make me smirk a bit but now it makes me irrationally furious and I want to push her off.

Mamama31 · 15/04/2015 07:44

Thank you coffee and mrsx. I'm glad scan day is here, but so anxious. I will report back later on. Please ladies say a little prayer, I need to see this HB today.

Poppyninja · 15/04/2015 07:58

mamama31 good luck today x
