Did the last November bus crash without a new thread? Worry not, here we are again! Toot toot!

Ooh, that's a fab score, congrats Lady! So good that you received it so quickly too! I had to wait for a phone call or letter.

BlueBananas · 22/04/2015 18:30

Oooo I've missed so much!
Congratulations MissMrs so happy for you Grin
Mama I never knew that was possible so early, that's amazing! Congratulations on your pink bump
LadyStark that's so funny it does look like an alien haha, I've never seen a scan that's not a profile shot before, I hope I get a full on shot of baby' face (even if it looks like a space raider) congrats Grin

Everybody worrying about absent family issues I was the same with my 2nd because DP's Mum has never bothered with any of mine for no apparent reason, just doesn't care Confused after DD had meningitis when she was 11 weeks old and the whole time she was in hospital MIL didn't visit, call or even text I cut her off completely and my children haven't missed out atall because of it. My biological Dad doesn't know them either, again because he couldn't be bothered.
So this time I'm not worried, because as long as there are people around loving your babies it doesn't matter what the relationship to the baby is, love is love and that's all they need Smile

On a lighter note, I've done 2 whole days without my sick bands and I'm feeling fine! Fingers crossed this is it Grin and on a 7 day count down till my scan now, can't friggin wait!!

MissMrsMummy · 22/04/2015 18:33

Thank you all Smile hope you're ok! xxx

LadyStark · 22/04/2015 18:41

Me neither Blue! We were in there ages as baby just wouldn't get into any other position, loads of shaking my tummy(!) to measure nuchal fold. Scanner apologised for not being able to get a good photo but I am quite fond of the alien shot.

MamaGotABrandNewBag · 22/04/2015 18:56

Lovely scan pic. I already have DS, 9 months so will have one of each (providing it's correct!)

MamaGotABrandNewBag · 22/04/2015 18:57

I have a scan pic from DS at 16 weeks and he looks like a waving skeleton!

CoffeeTwo · 22/04/2015 19:04

Who was talking about fizzy sweets and strawberry laces before? This is your fault!

lady adorable picture I love it!

TakesTwoToTango · 22/04/2015 19:32

Oh my god I feel so sick Sad

Blueblink · 22/04/2015 19:38

Do pleased for you missmrs!!
Love the scan picture lady
My MS has come back again now along with a dull low achy ache which I think is growing pains... It's not painful or anything - just there! Anyone else experienced the same?
Oh and tonight is another baked beans on toast kinda day!

annatha · 22/04/2015 19:40

missmrs congratulations! What fantastic news.

Ladystark that's a brilliant scan pic, I've never seen a 12 week one so clear. If its any consolation I had a growth scan at 36 weeks, expected a clear picture of a cute baby and my little girl looked like Bane from the Batman films...

doomclaw · 22/04/2015 19:43

MissMrs so pleased for you

Wedding anniversary today and just eaten steak and chips lovingly cooked by DH but can now only lie on the sofa groaning and feeling sick. Did enjoy having Grapetiser in a wine glass though

Crumbelina · 22/04/2015 19:50

It's a lovely scan pic, Lady!

Coffee, if it's what baby wants ... Smile Go easy on them though. I've scoffed so many today I feel sick (can't work out if it pregnancy related!)

I've had strange pains over the last day or so. It's usually when I leave work and walk to the station. Feels like stretching combined with bubba sticking knitting needles in my fanjo. (Not as painful as it sounds, but enough for some random facial expressions on the train).

SnozzberryPie · 22/04/2015 19:58

Missmrs congratulations!

I had a bag of Percy pig sweets for lunch, I blame you lot!

Got my scan date through, it's the 21st may.

I'm having funny pains, low down in my pelvis on either side, whenever I cough Confused. No idea what they are but I had them last time too.

mrsscarlettbutler · 22/04/2015 20:51

Oh congratulations MissMrs! Great news, hope all goes smoothly for you.

We are getting well into scan territory aren't we?! LadyStark your picture is amazing, I love it.

Getting VERY nervous about scan tomorrow. Just sort of convinced that it's all gone wrong and it will be bad news. Trying not to think about it really, but this is so nerve wracking.

Am getting a bit worried because I have absolutely no bump… is that normal at 12 weeks? I can feel a slight swelling when i put my hand on my lower abdomen, but that hasn't really changed much since about 8 weeks - I sort of thought it would keep growing but it hasn't? I think that's not helping with my nerves, I have no idea what it's supposed to be like at this stage. In general I've definitely put weight on around my tummy, but it's higher up, and joined by lots of lovely bloating. My lower abdomen just looks as flat as it did before I got pregnant - it's just the section above it that is more rounded and forcing me into loose tops and elastic waisted trousers! Blush

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 22/04/2015 20:56

Nice to see some lovely new in the group today Smile Smile
I'm gradually feeling better every day which is similar to how I was with dd at this stage (10+4 today). The only negative thing is starting to be in that limbo where you don't really feel pregnant because of not feeling ill, but there's no bump or kicks so you feel unsure that there's actually anything in there! But there were two heartbeats there 3 weeks ago so I just have to hope that all is still well.

Pregnancy is stressful isn't it? Or maybe I'm just anxious because of having had a mmc but I wish I was enjoying it rather than being worried.

LadyStark · 22/04/2015 20:58

Thanks all Grin

I don't have a noticeable bump and it's baby number two and I'm 12+5 so don't panic! Although, I am size 14 so plenty of padding to hide a bump still!

I have fruitella chewy sweets this evening. And I can't remember who else said about Capri Suns but me too! I think it's because they're in foil so much colder than other drinks. It used to be my favourite hangover drink too.

I have a 'bump' at 10+3 but it's 100% left-over baby weight from dc2 and bloating (combined with diastasis reci from two large babies) - not flattering at all. Oh and not going properly for over a week hasn't helped. Really didn't want to take anything before 12 weeks but I guess I may have to as a litre of prune juice has had no effect Sad

annatha · 22/04/2015 22:27

I didn't have a proper bump noticeable to others until at least 30 weeks last time, I just looked fatter than usual. I can see one starting to take shape already this time though, but like Annbag said the small age gap makes a difference.

Anyone on #2 feeling guilty about their first baby not being an only child for much longer? My little girl is nearly 6 months and therefore will never remember what it was like before her sibling came along, but today she's been her usual bubbly loving self and I just feel awful that I won't be able to just indulge her like I do now once the new baby is here. Right now our days revolve around feeding, lots of playing and lots of cuddly naps and obviously with a newborn in tow that will have to change. Its probably just preggo hormones making me crazy.

goodenoughmum88 · 22/04/2015 22:28

Blueblink I'm getting some growing feelings too, this is my second and due in November sometime. Scan isn't for another two weeks. Am about 10 and a bit weeks and DH has just asked me if I'm sure that's all I am as I got undressed for bed as am looking rather rounded! (Nothing to do with eating my way through sickness and generally having the munchies at all ;-))

MummyPiggy87 · 23/04/2015 00:33

9 weeks today Grin

tootsroots · 23/04/2015 03:08

annbag my baby bro was born at 36 weeks- he is 8 years younger than me and my mum was a whale! Lucky you! If it makes you feel better about preemies and what hey can achieve - he is now a strapping 6'2 rugby captain that just qualified as a Dr from the top
Med school in the uk and is one of the most gorgeous and friendliest and just about cleverest people I know! Oh and is bloody
Huge prop in rugby!!!

tootsroots · 23/04/2015 03:16

I thought I had a bump but turns out was bloat and fat! I ended up In hosp as some charmer in work gave me gastroenteritis so badly I collasped :( and lost 7lbs in bloat weight over three days! Tummy now flattendd out! I am 13 weeks on sat! Feel like an awful mummy tho to bean as I have not eaten this week that
Much - just drips and a banana each day - home now so hoping my diet improves !
I have my first midwife spot
Tommorrow? My proper 12 week ish scan is Monday... Anyone else got a midwfe spot yet?

I had another epu scan yesterday to check on bean as they were concerned and it waved and wiggled back thabk god. Amazing what the human body can take and bean survives!

yes this is so far a frantic dramatic pregnancy!!
