Just checking in to say hello. Have spent all day either exhausted or crying my heart out about - hmm, let's see - a closed shop, DH 's desire to eat KFC, my parents, the fact that some food got stuck on the bottom of the pan.

But seriously, I am just so upset today. Hormone or wtf this is, it needs to stop, I've started fieldwork for a new project today and I got to be doing interviews daily.

My scan is on Thursday, trying not to think about it as am quite worried after last spate of bleeding. Really anxious that something will have gone wrong since last scan at 9 weeks. Scan is in the afternoon, and in the morning I have an appointment at clinic 'JCHAM' and there's a consultant name with it. I'm assuming this is my booking in appointment, and the consultant is just the overseeing person rather than that I am having an appointment with a consultant… but anyone else have any experience of this? This is all happening at UCH in London.

Luckily we bought a new car last year, an upgrade from my ancient Corsa - it's one of the new model Ford Focuses and I LOVE it. Can highly recommend for anyone else expecting number 1 - the boot is huge and the back is very roomy, we've had two car seats and an adult as well as 1 car seat and 2 adults in the back with no problems. (different combinations of nieces/nephews!) We were going to wait but I'm very glad we didn't so it's one less thing to worry about. DH doesn't drive so it's all down to me and I really like driving it (that is something that is on the 'to do' list for him in the next few months..!)

We also have a Honda cry and wondering how we will fit 3 carseats too. Love my car so really hope I don't have to change.

Ooh we are looking at a new Focus too to replace my 13 year old clapped out Golf - we only have the one car so car get something nice. Good to see the positive reviews!

We are also going to have to find a bigger car. Have not even started thinking about what though. I'm going to wait until I know everything is okay at the 12 week scan before I give it any thought. 2.5 wks and counting!

Just checking in from my bed. Been here since 6pm with nausea and stomach cramps so everything is exactly how it should be if I remember correctly from last time!

Glad there is so much wonderful scan news and nore on the way. I haven't had an appointment through yet. If I haven't heard by Wed (when I'm 11 weeks) I'll get in touch with my midwife. Hope that's not too impatient!

I haven't had my own car for a couple of years now. I like the idea of converting a tricycle into a mumma-baby-mobil though. I used to be a keen cyclist before becoming a mum and intend to take it up again when this tiny one is a bit bigger.

Despite the sickness OH and I are in full on clear and sort mode. Hr transformed our ahed and did 3 tip runs today. I've been gardening and sorting inside too. Determined not to get buried under family debris!

My 'bump' is actually massive. I'm not sure if it's baby bump (I'm only just 9 was) or if my tummy was already like this!!! I have diastasis recti from last pregnancy so it might be that. Anyway, I said to DH today, look how huge it is, maybe it's twins! And now he's worried that it is and we'll buy a Touran only to discover we really ought to have gone for the bigger Sharan!! Haha, serves him right for being too eager to buy a new car...!

dixie my tummy is so bloated despite barely eating. I've lost a stone since my BFP and that makes it even more noticeable by comparison to the rest of me. I honestly look about how I did at 6 months but I know it's not baby.

bugoven get a bike trailer! I love mine, carried dd in it from about 3 months. Generally do about 50 miles a week with it. It carries two children and as I'm having twins this time, I'm going to have to put the babies in the trailer and dd on a seat on the bike. My ass is going to be made of steel...

Dixiebell my mate keeps winding me up saying I'm having twins as my stomach is also huge!! I'm scared for my scan! My BIL and SIL always wind us up about it too!!

We have a passat it's lovely but it's not big enough for our 3 now we need 3 proper seats in the back, so with the new edition he's got his eye on a vw transporter but I will drive it everywhere he has an old Peugeot for work!

We have a yaris - just about doable with dd but we struggle a bit with holidays and giving lifts. We'll definitely need something bigger before dc2 arrives.

PS eight weeks tomorrow and feeling really sick today. We told mil yesterday which was lucky as otherwise she would I have wondered why I had an afternoon nap!

morning all just checking in. so tired thismorning did not sleep well at all lastnight. on the plus side just had the yummiest piece of chesse on toast.

ugh I'm soo tired too. I went to bed at 9 last night! and still feel completely wrecked this morning.

The wonderful midwife helpline pushed everything along. My booking in appt is 8th May and 12 wk scan 5th May (my birthday). We have last weeks scan on the fridge and both catch each other staring at it. Fingers crossed lil bean stays happy and strong in me. The bloating and wind is calming down a little, ravenous all morning. Pret cheese and tomato croissants are my current weakness

guybrush do you use your trailer on roads or just cycle paths. I am a bit worried about how low they are and idiot drivers so would probably just make the pavement unsafe for everyone else instead!
Also I've had horrible abdominal pain for 24 hours now but nothing else. I was at least hoping for a giant fart but no luck
