Did the last November bus crash without a new thread? Worry not, here we are again! Toot toot!

dixie DS is 11! But think we might go to science museum. Had a look last night and found loads of stuff we want to do - won't have time to do it all!

Anyone having to buy a new car for this new addition? We have a BMW estate which you'd think big enough, but there is no way to fit 3 car seats in the back. And we can't even fit a person between the two at the mo, so when grandma visits for example, we can't go out anywhere together (she comes by train). So we're looking at 7-seaters which will give us the space for 3 car seats across the back and extra pop up seats if we ever need to transport friends or visitors. We've been to look at a few, but DH now fancies the VW Touran. Anyone got? I will need to borrow some money from my mum, I'd rather ask her after we have our scan so I can give her a reason why we need a new car! But there were two perfect cars on a special deal yesterday and I think DH is keen not to miss out! We are just about to finish paying back my mum for our garage conversion, after 3 years...I will just have to say, er, all that money we've just paid back, can we borrow it again?!

My mum has a touran, it's great the back seats fold completely flat and are comfortable for adults

We have a citroen grand c4 picasso. It's great.

That said, I don't actually drive so I'm trying to work out how to carry three children on my bike.

I need to sell my beloved Beetle for something bigger too. I'd wanted one for years and DH surprised me with it last year after finding a bargain but I can only just fit my tiny pram in the boot and have to stand in the back with my arse on the dashboard to get my dd strapped in as its a tiny 3 door. We were hoping to get away with it as dh has an Audi estate but Dixiebell raises a good point about no space for others after two car seats are in. It makes the most sense for us to try and chop both in for a people carrier but I'm so reluctant to let the bug go!

We are considering the citroen too guybrush. We actually only went to the VW place to look at the Sharan, which we decided was too big, but we spotted the Touran which seems the equivalent of the C4 grand Picasso, and DH loves VW so might end up with that.

I have a ford ka having to choose pram carefully! Anyone else have a tiny car? The boot isn't actually too bad. I only got it last year and it's going nowhere, I love it!

Neither me or hubby drive so we don't have a car, hubby has his driving test the same week as my scan so hopefully it will be a very good week!

annatha I've always wanted a beetle, love them!

We've got a two-door Corsa, so will get a larger car just before baby arrives. I quite fancy a Skoda Yeti, will need to check it out in more detail, though.

I've got a seat leon FR and my DP has just bought a skoda fabia Monte Carlo! He used to have a passat estate but was costing too much so now my car is the"bigger" car.

mrscatmad buy mine!! I've been trying to convince dh its viable to keep it but with two kids I'm just kidding myself. I recommend them though, its the best car I've ever driven and its lots of fun!

ideally we do need to change cars but I doubt we will have the money to sort it before baby comes. at the moment we have an old punto that dh uses for work, and a seat leon. we need to get rid of both and get a van for dh and a suitable family car, 7 seater would mean we could easily fit 3 car seats and other passengers but I doubt we will get one. dh is determined we won't have a 'vag car' as he calls any practical family car why are men so weird about cars??

dixie we have a 3 door Clio but upgrading tomorrow to a fancy pants audi a3 5 door thingy, my dh chose it... big engine and automatic is all i know. I didn't have much say as i wanted Q3 as my back is bad but he ignored me!( and i have paying 75% of the cost but ugh. Anything for peace. Anyone else the main earner and a little irritated sometimes at the inequality?!

Baby brain attacked for the first time...Almost forgot my blood test for my pre nuchal scan today at hosp ..my scan is the 27th Apr. I was in bed at 9.50 as slept so badly then suddenly went from fast asleep to sht sht DH pls can you drive me in 5 mins to the hosp.. ( 3 mins away) for my 10.10 appt! ended up dropping me at one end to find it was at the other end.. so SPRINTED the entire hospital ( it is one of the largest in UK) in 5 mins to the blood test.. .my blood pressure was a little high that they disregarded it unsurprisingly I have lost 3kg though! One thing that i did notice was i didn't feel sick for the first time in 3 months! am i at the end of ms?!!

Glad we arnt the only ones who need to upgrade the car! DP is unable to drive for medical reasons so it's just me and my clapped out old corsa! We are looking at the new ford focus and I'm excited!
Have got a really stressful few weeks coming up at work (I do events management) and am already starting to feel the dread of the impending schedule!

Snap roughtypying! I did a bit of research before I bought it and ppl suggested a car seat/pram frame combo - is a maxi cosi a thing? Apparently shops like mothercare will let you test to see if they fit so I'll be doing that. Or making DH drive my tiny car while I take his :)

We have a Honda CRV which is a great car, will do for us as long as nobody wants lifts anywhere!

We have Ford Focus estate, it's great. We can fit 2 car seats with 5 year olds and somebody slim between them. But not 3 car seats. Boot space is fantastic. And it's so comfortable.
