twobees how exciting! I felt movements at 14 weeks last time so you've made me hopeful I might feel them earlier this time!

We usually go to glasto and were going to go this year but not sure I could face the toilet situation at 21wks pregnant.

I always take a bog in a bag for the tent for nighttime pees in the tent porch (that thing is amazing and I highly recommend it to all festival goers!) but that and being on my feet all day... Not sure!

PIt's either muddy or boiling hot there, usually I wouldn't mind but I think my tolerance and balance will be lower! So it's a no this year. Sad because the initial line up is a cracker.

I think a Hyde park gig would be ok, I've never been right at the back at one because it would be so far away from the stage but it's always an option! Food IS expensive there though yes. Smuggle some in in your roomy pregnancy trousers. Ha.

BowiesJumper · 18/04/2015 12:38

Good thing about glasto though is that you (or your other half!!) can carry a camping chair around for you so you can have a nice sit down throughout the day (unless it's a muddy year and then you'd sink..)

focus you it is about spot on - I had salad in the end - chicken, green beans, asparagus, tomatoes and avocado mixed with spinach and toasted pine nuts with a homemade dressing of French mustard, champagne vinegar and olive oil. Yum.

Poppyninja · 18/04/2015 15:13

If we were in a campervan wouldn't be too worried but yep tenting it so not sure if I'd be too uncomfortable .... Hmmm

SnozzberryPie · 18/04/2015 16:06

I went to a festival at about 20 weeks last time and it was fine. Take an airbed to sleep on and something for wees in the night (I just used a shewee and empty plastic bottles).

I'm already planning a few camping trips this summer and would love to take dd to her first festival but not sure we can afford it.

Keepingmyconvertible · 18/04/2015 17:08

Hi all, I joined the bus at the beginning of March and I have read every single page, but after my last mmc I decided to stay quiet until I got to my 12 week scan. I haven't made it as I have had my second mmc at 10 weeks, so can you remove me from the stats when they're updated next please and I wish you all fabulous pregnancies and beautiful November babies xx

ehealy · 18/04/2015 17:16

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 18/04/2015 18:50

Got a letter through inviting me to consultant appointment on 20th May. Anyone know what that involves? I wasn't under consultant care for my last pregnancy, it was all lovely and simple.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 18/04/2015 18:51

Yep, twins so assuming there are still 2 babies by 12 weeks, I'll be consultant led all the way through.

Keeping I am so sorry, look after yourself.

I am quite looking forward to meeting my consultant, I expect there will be some to-ing and fro-ing on how my pregnancy is supposed to be managed, based on my existing health issues.

Guy I sympathise about the wind. I feel like I'm constantly burping or farting. Or now that I have a bad cold, burping, farting, coughing, sneezing or blowing my nose. Grin

I don't feel half as sick as I did (11 weeks tomorrow) and the 'stretchy' pains really seem to have stopped, so of course I'm convinced now, seeing as that was quite light nausea anyway, that everything has gone wrong. This pregnancy business is driving me mad. It's not even a week since OH left and I already miss him, it's horrible to think that I have to do this all on my own again till next month.

Lauramum23 · 18/04/2015 20:58

Sorry keeping xx

roughtyping · 18/04/2015 21:20

flying we're going to see Blur on the Saturday. Sooo excited. Didnt realise til the other day that the Strokes are playing on the Friday too Shock would've loved that! Prob too much for DS though! So looking for stuff to do in London for the whole weekend - meeting a couple of friends who live down there now and DS wants to go on the London Eye. Exciting!

Dixiebell · 18/04/2015 22:16

How old is DS rough? My 4 yr old loves the dinosaurs at the natural history museum, and it's free. The science museum is next door too, that's good and there is a section for under 5s.

Poppyninja · 18/04/2015 23:54

Ta SnozzberryPie shepee def way forward! Good to know you did ok, will be around 20 weeks too when glasto on. Going to see how I'm doing nearer the time

annatha · 19/04/2015 08:51

Is anyone else getting pain in their hips in the morning? I can't get comfy in bed anymore and frequently have to turn over to stop my hips from aching, but in the morning it feels like they've been pushed together, the whole pelvis/lower back aches. Is this pelvic girdle pain?

Dixiebell · 19/04/2015 09:10

annatha, not yet, but I had hip pain in both my last two pregnancies. It's the whole ligaments stretching thing. I found by the end I could only sleep 20 min stretches before needing to turn over. It was a bit better if I slept propped up almost sitting. I'm fully expecting it again this time, and have bought a £250 memory foam mattress topper to try and prevent [optimistic] or ease it this time but don't know if it will work. I think it came on about 16 weeks previously. Funny how it's only at night. A pillow between legs is also supposed to help a bit.

Lauramum23 · 19/04/2015 10:00

Ooo we are going to London in summer with the kids they are very exited we have been meaning to take them for Ages, and I didn't fancy travelling in France this summer plus we thought it's the ideal time before a baby comes along! We have a caravan so we are stopping in henley and going to legoland etc, I've already got 2 kids tickets from tesco club points for the London bus. I thought it would be easier for them to see everything on there rather than traipsing around- I probably wouldn't cope well with that either! So I'm hoping it's lovely weather this year it's usually warmer than here on the east coast anyway it's always a tad chilly here!

annatha · 19/04/2015 10:02

Ahh, our mattress is memory foam on one side but I never let dh use it as it felt too "sinky", I might flip it today and see if that helps. Thanks! I remember struggling to get comfortable in bed last time but it wasn't until 30 weeks or so. Pillows ahoy!
