I already went up a cup size before falling pregnant so bought new bras - now I'll need even bigger ones!! I'm already 34E Sad

DH is loving it - but they're sore and my nipples are soooo sensitive that he's not allowed to touch them! He keeps looking wistfully at my chest whispering, "someday..........someday."Grin

annatha · 16/04/2015 18:39

roughtyping I may join you on the boob whipping out front, last time I lived in mothercare clippy vests and drop down cup bras so the whole boob came out anyway, so I might as well be comfy when I've put myself away Grin

snozzberrypie I meant that all the bras I found were soft touch/comfort type ones with thin, unstructured cups so my monster nips just pokes through and were visable through my clothes and my boobs just looked really lumpy and saggy, especially when my breast pads had gone travelling. I'm hoping there's a bravissimo or similar nearer to where I'm moving, the closest one was over 2 hours away from me at the min so I just followed their online measuring guide. It would be nice to go somewhere to try bras on though, I hate ordering loads of stuff to try on knowing full well half of it will have to go back.

I'm thinking about converting some normal bras this time if bf is successful

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 16/04/2015 18:48

No twins in my family either Heir! No twins, no fertility treatment. Total shock. And I'm only 30 so not in the most common age range.
I'm wondering if it might have had something to do with the fact I had a miscarriage just before Christmas. Maybe my ovaries got a bit over-enthusiastic in the following months.

annatha · 16/04/2015 18:51

Annbag I've heard that traumatic births can stop milk production, it's something to do with a surge in hormones I think? I bf dd for 3 months and 3 months later I still feel like I've failed her for not being able to continue. At the end of the day we've both got happy, healthy babies and thats what matters. I really want to bf this baby but at the same time I know that hopefully I won't beat myself up as much if it doesn't go as planned.

Re. Buying bras early, when I finally found one I could live with (a Miriam Stoppard one, it says soft touch but the cups are actually nice and thick) I bought two in my late pregnancy size so I'd have something to wear when dd arrived, then after my milk came in I ordered some more of the same bra but a cup and back size bigger and they fitted fine. I found that back extenders were useful for when I was up and down sizes.

SnozzberryPie · 16/04/2015 18:56

My milk came in when I was in hospital. It took 5 days and I later found out that premature and/or traumatic births can delay or prevent milk coming in. I had to send poor dp to mothercare to buy me a nursing bra - his worst nightmareWink

Finally got my scan date, 8th may can't wait! Loving all of these scan pics can't wait to have one of my own.

Also, finally succumbed to buying a non wired bra and it's like heaven. Bought a two pack from Asda, best thing I've ever bought!!

TakesTwoToTango · 16/04/2015 19:19

Loving all the scan pics!

Marking place focus i love the titles you give the new boards! ...got to go eat so will catch up with reading in a bit. Hope everyone is well x

Jucymyname · 16/04/2015 21:44

New thread and already page 12!
My scan is booked for 29th, can't wait, I just want to go to sleep and wake up on the day.
I still wear my normal bras, but I can tell they are getting too small. I have quad-boobs. And I'm bloated, so I think I look pg already. Anybody else? Is it not too early? I'm 10+1...

Blueblink · 16/04/2015 22:34

jucy yes I defo have a bump and think I look prego! But in reality I think I just look like I've eaten too many pies! Hmm

reb2g08 · 17/04/2015 06:54

Jucy I feel like I am too at 11 weeks! It feels like it's really obvious! I have been looking at bump pics week by week on Pinterest that is worth a look!

BowiesJumper · 17/04/2015 07:08

Happ Friday!

I already had a little belly so no evidence of bump yet! (10+6) and still fitting into my size 12 clothes. Am generally a bit.. plumper though!

Hoping my scan appointment arrives today. If not I'm going to call them and ask again! Grrr.

Jucymyname · 17/04/2015 07:19

I'm glad it's not just me with the belly. I lost some weight when I was ill couple of weeks ago and my trousers are falling down, but some of my work shirts don't fit around my boobs any more... So I'm creating lovely look on daily basis Wink.
Have a lovely Friday everyone!

Lauramum23 · 17/04/2015 08:08

My belly is getting chubby too, in really not looking forward to getting fat again I looked really good last summer! I'm not mega thin or anything but I got to a toned 12, boo hoo I'm already porking up!
I don't know wether it's true that the more you have the earlier it shows? I suppose I can use that excuse with number 4!?
Oh well in January we will all be dieting I think!

newbian · 17/04/2015 08:24

Pic from today's scan. It's not a great one because the little one was moving around like crazy! But we saw clearly two hands and two feet.

Still measuring a week behind based on LMP but I suspected I ov'd late so doctor isn't worried.

Time to tell family I think!

cryingbabymess · 17/04/2015 08:31

I feel I've a bump too!!! Think it's more just bloating and who ate all the pies! Confused

Random question I'm craving a sausage softie from the baker...only thing is it's cooked, chilled and reheated in the micro....can I have one?! Thought?

dottiemad · 17/04/2015 09:31

I decided to get a nursing bra for night times (from boots). 32F normally but soon going to have to buy bigger sizes...10+3 today. Nausea is still there but thankful not actual vomiting :-) Absolutely knackered today, didn't have my evening nap yesterday and went dog training...I feel like I have a hangover :-(

roughtyping · 17/04/2015 10:13

lauramum I'm the same - lost about 2&1/2 stone for going to Florida last summer and it has all slowly crept back on. I had got to a healthy BMI, I'm now back up to 30 Sad

Already have a tummy - but I've been ravenous so it's definitely a good baby rather than baby baby!

roughtyping · 17/04/2015 10:13

*food baby even!

BowiesJumper · 17/04/2015 10:48

I know you've all been waiting with baited breath - finally got my scan date! Woohoo! It's a week on Monday, so I'll be 12+2. Happy with that.
Now I'm terrified I've had a missed miscarriage obviously.

Nice work there on the scan newbian!

I have just realised that my food aversions mean that I basically want to eat the same things as my two year old. Lots of carbs, no strong flavours or yukky vegetables. Dp made us burgers and chips for dinner yesterday and we were both picking the burger and salad out and making chip butties with the bread roll, much to his disgust Grin

Focusfocus · 17/04/2015 11:29

Talking of bumps, here's mine from today - 11 + 2 today :)
