Yes I'm up for a FB group in a few weeks. I'm always careful not to say too much personal info on MN so it's nice to have somewhere a little more private! Grin

tammie49 · 15/04/2015 11:33

I saw the Dr this morning. bit of an anticlimax really. she just got me to book in with the midwife. she said that the spotting is normal (I had some yesterday) but to keep an eye on it and go back if it gets heavier. I had an infertility appt. on Friday. it's apparently common for people to go for their first appt and then find out they're pg!!

tammie49 · 15/04/2015 11:34

as in this Friday coming. I've cancelled it!!

Daysies · 15/04/2015 11:48

Can I sneak in here? Still in a bit of a shock state so may just hide in a corner and eat biscuits. If all goes well this will be my DC3 with a rather large age gap. EDD- sometime around Dec 17 Shock

megarobotdiscoparty · 15/04/2015 12:39

Waving to all the new BAPS!

Appreciating all the moral support on the angst/worry. I pinged awake at 12:50am this morning and couldn't switch off my brain to get back to sleep til past 5am. Too much financial, logistical and emotional angst swirling around in that head of mine. Can barely put one foot in front of the other today! Feel quite cross at myself for not being able to feel real happiness, so it's a big comfort to know others are feeling the same. Pesky hormones!

TerryTheGreenHorse · 15/04/2015 12:49

Mega I'm totally feeling the angst!

TerryTheGreenHorse · 15/04/2015 12:58

Maybe it's just the shock you weren't expecting it so quickly? I suppose you were thinking it would take ages and boom!

Having two children is lovely though, watching their little relationship grow more than makes up for any downside. My two are proper pals.

I wouldn't worry about your DS I think your doing something that he will find marvellous.

But I know angst is not rational!

afloat · 15/04/2015 13:30

Re. angst and worry, I've started listening to a podcast called the Fear Free Childbirth and it's pretty good so far. It's a lot about clearing "head trash" and meditation, hynobirthing type approaches. I use the Headspace app too for meditation which I find really useful.

Haribo I would worry Hun a sticker sticks and actually I have a friend who breaks in horses for a living and she was bucked off 2 both heavy falls in the early months she said and no mc so don't panic. X

megarobotdiscoparty · 15/04/2015 14:18

Terry that's lovely to hear, thank you. And yes- you're quite right about it being a surprise which isn't helping... when I went for my referral I wasn't expecting it to move so much more quickly this time! And then to get a BFP when we were least expecting it, I probably am still in shock a bit. Yours are quite close in age aren't they? I'm an only child so while part of me feels desperate for him to have a sibling, the other half is terrified of the unknown. DH is one of four and is completely unfazed by the prospect (his mum always says having her 2nd was the hardest - she barely noticed nos 3 and 4. Fx it's the same for you!)

megarobotdiscoparty · 15/04/2015 14:20

afloat I'll take a note of that podcast, brilliant- thanks! I used hypnobirthing and meditation through my last pregnancy and in labour and found it really helped.

Metalhead · 15/04/2015 14:57

I might have a look at those too afloat, been trying different pregnancy relaxation clips on YouTube but so far haven't really found anything that wasn't too woo.

HariboBrenshnio · 15/04/2015 15:28

Boobs - thanks so much for the reassurance. Your right, a sticker sticks and if your friend can fall off a horse and not MC I can fall down the stairs and not MC!

tammie49 · 15/04/2015 15:32

Hi withalittlesparkle. the Dr said exactly that this morning she said it happens a lot. I rang them to cancel and when I told the lady why she was so happy, it was lovely. it's been over a year and I'd convinced myself it wasn't going to happen so I'm still in shock!

tammie49 · 15/04/2015 15:33

Did you get pg more easily the second time around?

WhatsForYeWontGoByYe · 15/04/2015 15:46

Anyone dreading the hayfever season now they're preggers?

I get it quite badly but talked to my GP yesterday and she said Beconase nasal spray was completely fine to take (and to start early so it builds up in your system). She then said to use either loratidine or cetirizine hydrochloride-containing tablets as and when I had a bad day.

No 'known effects' on the baby, apparently, even in the first trimester Smile

The problem with these things is that it's ethically near-impossible to run clinical trials involving pregnant women - so they can't PROVE it's safe/not safe. But these hayfever remedies have been around for so long that they'd have some idea by now if they were causing harm.

hope that's helpful to some of you.

HariboBrenshnio · 15/04/2015 16:47

Iv got low blood pressure, hence the dizziness, but doctor wasn't worried about baby. Phew!

abi2790 · 15/04/2015 16:58

Hiya ladies how is everyone? I'm super jealous of everyone with the great weather, it's been crap here today!

I've been crampy all day today. I'm trying not to worry about it cos I've been crampy on and off for weeks. Is it okay to be crampy all the time? I've had no spotting.

abi2790 · 15/04/2015 17:02

And whoever mentioned the daily m/c chart, thank you! I feel so much better after seeing it!

Woohoo haribo! Great result.

Abi it's been grim here too...only just starting to brighten up. I've been really crampy this time too -don't remember it from last time at all.

Sweets27 · 15/04/2015 17:33

Abi I've been looking at that chart too, it's so nice to see the % risk go down. I'm at 9.4% today, pleased to be under 1 in 10 Smile

tammie49 · 15/04/2015 18:20

I found that chart too. It's really reassuring. I'm still spotting today but it's so slight, just a brown tinge when I wipe. has anyone else had this?
