If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

x-posts - I am so sorry to her your news Spartacus Sad Go easy on yourself for now and try not to make any quick decisions. It will take time physically and emotionally to come to terms with your loss and work out what you want in the future. For now my thoughts are with you and your DH x

Blueblink I would go easy on your friend in case she has been ttc for a while. Perhaps she hasn't been and is just being selfish but if she has been, it will be impossible for her not to feel pain when she heard your news but not because she isn't happy for you, but because she feels sad for herself. It took us almost 2 years to conceive and it has been the most difficult journey in our married life, I have always felt so happy when friends get pregnant and always made sure they knew I was happy for them. But inside I was crying for myself and our situation.

On the other hand though if she's not ttc and is being a bit me me me! Then she's being a bad friend! Hard to know though. I wouldn't give her a wide birth but just be aware of it perhaps. Just my opinion from personal experi

Scan went well today, got sent out in between to empty my bladder, as apparently it was too full... They didn't tell me whether the nuchal measurement is ok or not, I have to wait 2 weeks for the result. But they gave me my pregnancy notes and I found the measurement myself. A bit of research online and it seems to be fine. Some reassurance Smile

Oh NotSparticus, I'm so sorry for you and your DP. Look after yourselves. Flowers

TakesTwo That's what I thought. I fought my corner with them and reminded them that I missed out on the test with my dd because of the scan being so late but nothing came out of it. It's the only problem with my area being so rural, the hospital is 50 minutes away from me and has a very wide catchment area. The next one is 1.5 hours away and they couldn't get me in any earlier either apparently. We can't really afford to justify a private scan so I'm just going to accept the blood test instead. At the end of the day, the results wouldn't change anything if you get what I mean, I'd just want to know what to expect and start preparing for the baby. I am glad that I'm moving to a more built up area though, in the run up to my dd's birth I had nightmares that my hospital would be fully booked and that I'd end up giving birth halfway down the M6!

Crumbelina · 13/04/2015 20:01

Oh, NotSpartacus I'm so sorry to hear your news. Flowers

I agree with Mama, Blue. If (and it's a big if) your friend is struggling to concieve then I'd make allowances. I found it difficult when friends told me face-to-face that they were pregnant (email/text I could cope with). That said, I would still make an effort to react happily for them and ask questions etc. (and then I'd go home and cry).

Oooh, Amanda and NoMore such lovely scan pics. Fabulous news! I'm so glad more are being posted.

Mamama31 · 13/04/2015 20:08

Great scan pic nomore! Loving all of these pics, can't wait until my little blob looks more like a baby haha! I'll be happy to see a HB actually at this stage!

Crumbelina · 13/04/2015 20:09

Erm, am I mistaken or are we getting close to thread 4?! If so, I think we're going to overtake some of the earlier buses!

BlueBananas · 13/04/2015 20:11

Ooo another lovely scan pic! Congratulations NoMore

cryingbabymess · 13/04/2015 20:13

Crumbelina we sure are! We chat a lot!! Smile

There might just be more of us chatting than in some of the other buses x
