If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

I didn't get stretchmarks last time. I used coconut oil but like annbag it was probably the premature birth that really helped...

annatha · 12/04/2015 22:50

My belly is covered in them but like buttermilly I don't mind, I actually like them as they are a reminder of when my belly was home to dd. She now likes to trace them with her fingers. At the end of the day the only other person who sees my belly is my dh and he loves them too.

TakesTwoToTango · 12/04/2015 23:10

I didn't get a single stretchmark first time around (dc1 was 8lbs 1oz), then bam, dc2 came along (9lbs 8oz) and they all appeared! Someone once told me a woman's body is a bit like a ballon, it will inflate and deflate once but more than once and the structure of the skin struggles more to return to how it was before Grin

Jucymyname · 12/04/2015 23:45

That's a good description TakesTwo! I was lucky last time and didn't get any stretch marks. I used bio oil a lot, it's just nice. I was very big towards the end and my DD was over 4.2 kg (sorry don't remember lbs).
Back to work tomorrow, after being off sick for over a week... I'm not looking forward to it, I'm still weak and have all day ms.

I dabble in aromatherapy and have my homemade body oil (sweet almond, wheatgerm, jojoba, neroli) and homemade body butter (cocoa, mango, Shea with coconut oil). Massaging boobs, belly and hips once daily with these. Got loads of marks in puberty but none on belly. So hoping pregnancy is different. Also drink loads of water.

Ive got stretch marks they don't bother me now- how often would I be walking around with my tummy out anyway? Only on holiday I can cope. Mine aren't too far up my stomach anyway, I did get then on inner thighs and backs of knees now they are more hideous to me!
But it's nothing that a good bit of exercise and healthy eating can do to make you feel so much better about yourself. Last year I looked pretty good all that hard work out of the window now!!Confused

Lauramum23 · 13/04/2015 07:37

Just came off the app to have a look at your scan picture, how cute focusfocus!
And I had a look at crumbalinas while I was at it! Very sweet!

Hope I get mine this week then I'll know a due date and how many weeks I am!

ehealy · 13/04/2015 07:53

Focusfocus tell us about the scan. It's my first pregnancy so all new. Did the have a problem finding the bean? Everything looks perfect in the pic such a relief for you. Mine is tomorrow evening.

Mamama31 · 13/04/2015 08:14

Lovely scan focus! :)

Coffee good luck for your private scan today, I hope your spotting has tailed off.

Blue I hope you are ok and have seen the doc.

roughtyping · 13/04/2015 08:54

Ah focus what a lovely picture Smile look at your little baby!

I am covered in stretch marks from boobs to knees from when I had DS. I started pregnancy at 7stone and was just over 11stone when I got out of hospital after having DS Blush. This time I'm starting at about 11 & 1/2 Blush

My skin's been quite itchy, have been using Lush Vanilla Dee-Lite because it smells beautiful Smile

roughtyping · 13/04/2015 08:55

Sorry I meant to add - my stretch marks really don't bother me at all. I don't even really 'see' them anymore. They're really light, they don't take up any headspace whatsoever!

Crumbelina · 13/04/2015 08:56

Lovely scan pic, Focus! Smile

I've got my scan date... And I'm 14 weeks so no chance of the Down's testing. Bit annoyed that they haven't even given me the option even though its in my antenatal notes that I want to have the test. I'm going to ring them as soon as dd stops making pterodactyl noises and push for an earlier one.

cryingbabymess · 13/04/2015 10:01

Annatha that's really crappy! I would defo be straight on the phone to them!!! I'll wait another week for mine and if I've not got a letter through then I'm going to phone and see where it is as I'm 9 weeks today Grin

ehealy · 13/04/2015 10:24

cryingbabymess and annatha I totally sympathise. I finally got through to a helpful lady at central booking for the hospital who gave me the hospitals midwife helpline and they are chasing to get me registered asap again I am in 9th week (although I calculate 10). It helped saying it was my first pregnancy and my age but they were super kind and helpful. Its a relief to speak to helpful people... finally.

annatha · 13/04/2015 10:26

Its rubbish isn't it! Another two weeks to wait is going to drive me mad. They did a similar thing with dd- my scan was at 13 weeks exactly, I went in and was measuring 13+5. Dd wasn't playing nicely (a habit she had in most of her scans, thinking about it) so they couldn't take a clear measurement and wanted to get me back in for a rescan. Only problem was because of Easter and bank hols they couldn't actually get me in before 14 weeks. I had the blood test instead but it was frustrating as the hospital had known I was pregnant since I was 5 weeks and still gave me a late scan date.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 13/04/2015 10:36

I'll be 13 weeks at mine too. I have to go to special department due to it being twins and they only scan on Mondays! Couldn't do Monday 4th May because of the bank holiday so it has to be 11th. The week before, I would only be 11 weeks. Hope babies cooperate.

cryingbabymess · 13/04/2015 10:45

This is all starting to worry me about scans being late!! I don't want mine to be late! I had my booking in 2 weeks ago (feels wayyyyy longer!) so hopefully something appears this week! If not I think I might need to phone them direct!

BowiesJumper · 13/04/2015 10:53

Oh that's annoying annatha, I'd be straight on the phone yes! Apparently I'm getting my appointment letter at some point this week. I'm impatient! Hopefully I won't have a similar problem. Fingers crossed.

ThreeBeanRap · 13/04/2015 11:00

Coffee best of luck with your scan today, hope the spotting has eased off.

Mine is still going, I have a doctor's appointment first thing tomorrow morning so hopefully they will be able to refer me for a scan then. Fingers crossed.
