Hi all, can I join please?

ThreeBeanRap, 28, Baby #1, EDD 21/11

No idea what to expect, have no real symptoms yet which makes me a bit nervous. Seems like forever til doc's appt on 14th.

stace1986 · 30/03/2015 14:44

So sorry Ash. :(

SnozzberryPie · 30/03/2015 14:47

So sorry ash.

For those of you with spotting, I had it last time and was told it was cervical erosion. This is where the cells on the cervix become more sensitive during pregnancy and you get spotting, often after sex or a big poo! It's especially common if you have been on the pill.

thatduck · 30/03/2015 15:16

Aww I'm so sorry Ash :(

Crumbelina · 30/03/2015 15:39

Oh Ash, I'm so sorry. Take care of yourself. Sad

Unthoughtknown · 30/03/2015 15:42

So sorry ash Flowers

MissMrsMummy · 30/03/2015 15:48

So sorry ash glad you are feeling ok in yourself, it's good that you were able to mentally prepare yourself over the weekend so it wasn't a big shock today. Hope you feel well enough to start trying when it suits you and fx for another bfp soon. Hope to see you on another AN thread Flowers

CoffeeTwo · 30/03/2015 15:49

Welcome ThreeBean

So sorry ash Flowers

MissMrsMummy · 30/03/2015 15:50

mamama fx for you on Weds x

I feel a bit better today. Started all my vitamins etc preparing for my next cycle (whenever that is) Feel a bit more optimistic as at least we are no longer 'infertile'

Sorry to hear about all the sickness! I hope you can find some way of coping. I've heard that nibbling biscuits whilst semi-lying down before getting up in the morning helps (though I know some of you are getting it all day or at night!) also my friend sipped apple juice through a straw when she couldn't keep anything else down. May be worth a try x

CishAndFips · 30/03/2015 16:24

So sorry ash Flowers
welcome three
Thank you for the tip missmrs i may give that a try. I panicked this morning as nausea seemed to have gone, 5 mins later went the loo and realised it most certainly was there oh well cant win, panic when its not there then moan when it is.

cryingbabymess · 30/03/2015 16:55

So sorry to hear that Ash!

I'm starting to worry today as I've had no nausea and had my booking in appointment and we've told or families today which panics me slightly! Confused

FlossyLil · 30/03/2015 17:03

So sorry to hear your news Ash! Ensure you get some rest and look after yourself!

Had my first appointment with MW today and got a scan date for 4 weeks time, will be 12+2. It won't come soon enough! Can't wait!

SnozzberryPie · 30/03/2015 17:17

I just posted a thread on the pregnancy board but thought I would ask opinions on here too: I have been appointed to work on a polling station for the electionelection in may when I will be 10 weeks. I can't remember from last time how I felt at ten weeks, it will be a really long day (polls are open 7am till 10pm) with not much chance of a break. Do you think I should cancel it? I'd really like to do it as I enjoy it and the pay is pretty good but it's tiring even when not pregnant. Are any of you ten weeks yet and would you be able to do it?

ThreeBeanRap · 30/03/2015 17:28

Thanks for the welcomes! cryingbabymess I've been the same, no nausea or any other symptoms yet really, if I hadn't had the BFP(s) I wouldn't know I was pregnant at all, I think I should be pleased but it makes me nervous! Don't have dr's appointment for a while yet either so it's just a waiting game.

Bumpingalong84 · 30/03/2015 17:45

Welcome ThreeBeanRap
your due date is the same as mine! ??I'm 6+2 today and I've started with some nausea today, it's not too bad but I can feel it every now and again, also boobs feel fuller and nipples slightly tender. Otherwise I'm feeling ok actually just tired, nervous about this nausea getting any worse Confused

NoMoreSashimi · 30/03/2015 17:55

Snoozeberry I'm 10 weeks now and I feel the nausea is on and off. I cope a lot better with it at the moment than in week 6/7, though. Could you accept the job and see how you feel in the week it happens?

halestone · 30/03/2015 17:58

Welcome Threebean and CongratulationsThanks

Snozberry (i'm on the app and can't check thats the right spelling for your name sorry) I am 9 weeks today and tbh if its not physical i think i would probably be able to do it. But i don't seem to be suffering to much with pregnancy exhaustion. Its the nausea/vomiting which is bothering me but as long as i'm close to a toilet i'm not to bad.

cryingbabymess · 30/03/2015 18:06

Threebean I've only had one BFP! Didn't feel the need to do another one but today I feel like I need to as I'm panicking now. My boobs are still agony tho! I keep feeling like I'm getting a stitch on my right side! Anyone else had that?

NotSpartacus · 30/03/2015 18:20

I'm so sorry to hear your news, Ash. Take care of yourself.

I had another scan today to confirm everything is going on as it should (with my history the NHS is very liberal with the scans) and I am honestly surprised and thrilled to report that it was FINE! There was a heartbeat beeping (as my Dd used to say) at 162bpm, the peanut is exactly the right size for my guesstimated dates, and this gives me a due date of 12 November!

Next hurdle is the harmony test / possible amnio etc because of my age, but I am starting to feel as though this pregnancy might actually be ok!

In other news, my mouth tastes disgusting and I was almost sick on my desk this morning. I invariably try to eat my way through feeling ill, so expect to put on the stone I had lost by about the end of next week.

TakesTwoToTango · 30/03/2015 18:45

spartacus congratulations! That's great news!

crying I have and it was a small corpus luteal cyst (that provides the pg hormones until the placenta takes over but can get a bit enlarged in some people. Usually
Nothing to worry about but worth keeping an eye on.

I can't remember how far along you are and whether you've already had a scan? But other causes of pain can inc ectopic of course so get checked out of you are worried or really sore.

tootsroots · 30/03/2015 18:46

Oh ash take care of you and for DH to have support too.

I am off work again, :( waking up to throw my guts up at 3-5 am..on top of dry retching about 40 times a day.. and terrible diarrhea.. means i look like a ghost. And both my cats are sick ( one had a massive tummy op and one has fractured his jaw face planting.. now if that fact didn't give me away to anyone local i do not know what will!) so i have had two furry needy hot water bottles needing me 24/7.

I have a question, pelvic girdle pain, where do you get it? I have this pain that knocks the wind out of me when i get up or walk up stairs or lie on it on my back, literally at the top of my pelvic bone on one side.. but not deep, it feels just on the surface of the bone? or am i a wimp and it is just bad sleep i have had it getting worse for a week?

HeirToTheIronThrone · 30/03/2015 18:47

Snozberry I'll most likely be supervising the press at our election count late into the night! I really want to do it as it should be an interesting night, I'll be 12+1...

cryingbabymess · 30/03/2015 18:56

Takestwo I'm 7 weeks today! It's only today that I've felt it so hopefully nothing! I'm already panicking as not felt sick today and told our families! I'm a worrier anyway but not been worried until today. ConfusedShockHmm

Crumbelina · 30/03/2015 19:04

Snoz, it might be worth seeing how you feel closer to the time. I'm 10+2 and nausea is on/off but manageable.

I'd love to just have nausea at the moment - I've been hit with something that feels like flu so I'm off work and in bed feeling rubbish. Watching far too many episodes of Come Dine with Me as well. Oh dear. Sad

spinningirl10 · 30/03/2015 19:07

Mama, pleased you've got a scan sorted. We'll be thinking of you on Wednesday and everyone sends their love and thoughts xx
