Hello all. Still off work today but definitely feeling much better which is good. Will go back tomorrow.

However, this morning I got up to got downstairs and make a cup of tea. When i went back up to bed I realised that I was bleeding. Again. This is the third time. Again, it was a gush of bright red blood, but no cramping and stopped pretty much straight away. Just had vague brown discharge for the rest of the day, but I am putting that down to the bleed earlier?

DH had a big day at work so my mum has come over to sit with look after me. After the initial shock i decided that I just couldn't face going back to hospital. We had a scan on Friday that showed all was fine after a bleed and I just can't go through that waiting again. Not sure if it's the right thing to do, but EPU said only to go back if I'm bleeding heavily with clots and cramps. But wtf is happening? Have spent the day alternatively googling and freaking myself out, and trying to be positive and calm. I just want to talk to someone who can explain what it is, but I haven't even had my booking appointment through yet so not sure who to talk to….

Ugh, these first few months are SO terrifying aren't they?

TwoBeesInTheHive · 18/03/2015 16:48

I got boy, 5lb 3oz.. I hope boy or girl they are a bit bigger than that! Shock dd was 7lb12 and ds was 9lb03! don't know what I'd do with a teeny baby!

FlossyLil · 18/03/2015 16:58

mrsscarlett - try not to worry, use it as a big excuse to rest and let DH look after you!

I got 5lb 16oz and same date as due date, which is a bit on the small side for a due date baby. Depending whether I put my full first name or abbreviated one is whether I got a boy or girl Confused - bit of fun anyway!

BowiesJumper · 18/03/2015 17:12

Mrsscarlett, I think sometimes some bleeding CAN be unexplained and harmless. They certainly give me an explanation for mine. I know it's difficult not to worry, but fingers crossed.

I rang the antenatal clinic to ask them about my spotting (and they said get referred to the EPU to check), so maybe give yours a ring if you need to talk to them?

mrswishywashy · 18/03/2015 17:12

Prediction for me is a 9lb2oz boy on November 3rd. Am just hoping little bean is growing well. Have early scan next Tuesday and so hope to see a heartbeat. It would be last time at fertility clinic and I've midwife appointment the week after.

Who doesn't have any symptoms? I'm pretty sure I dont. I had nausea around week three, boobs are bigger but I'm also taking a high dose of progesterone which causes that. I've got no pulling or anything. Just worried that when we get to scan there will be nothing to see:-( seems like a lot of people are getting strong symptoms.

BowiesJumper · 18/03/2015 17:13

*certainly didn't give an explanation

CishAndFips · 18/03/2015 17:16

thanks for the new thread hale and for letting us know decaf yorkshire tea tastes the same. i love yorkshire tea so will get that on fri Flowers bowies glad all is well.

BowiesJumper · 18/03/2015 17:18

mrswishy - I wouldn't worry about the no symptoms. I've read that some people can sail through without any at all in the early days. Exciting that you have a scan next week. Hope all is good with you!

BleachedBarnet · 18/03/2015 17:39

mrswishy I have barely any symptoms, in fact close to zero. Good luck with the scan - all very exciting!

mrsscarlettbutler · 18/03/2015 17:40

Thanks Bowies and Flossy I'm trying hard not to panic, but just feel a bit at a loss as to what I'm supposed to do - haven't had my booking appointment yet and don't really know who to call for things like this. I think if it happens again I will just go straight to EPU - there are lots to choose from in London so maybe i'll try a different one. I don't think the one I went to last week will rescan me.

Mrswishy I know what you mean about symptoms. I definitely feel very sick and my boobs are definitely sore but at the same time i wonder if I'd notice this if I didn't know i was pregnant and wasn't hyper aware of everything?

BowiesJumper · 18/03/2015 18:09

mrsscarlett I haven't had booking in yet either. I rang the antenatal clinic to ask about going to the EPU. But I'm not sure about repeat visits if the bleeding isn't what they call "heavy".

Can you talk to your GP about it?

cryingbabymess · 18/03/2015 18:12

How can I stop being so hungry? With stopping smoking and having baby on board im contently hungry but don't want to keep eating! Xx

ninjabeer · 18/03/2015 18:35

I know crying I am the same no fags, no booze but tons of food. Although someone at work asked if I'd lost weight tof at. I'll take that!

mrswishywashy · 18/03/2015 18:36

Thanks for the words on not been worried about no symptoms. Inhope that I just don't have them or maybe they'll come later. I'm 6W4ds and this has been just along process with the first scan and day two of my cycle then multiple injections for nearly two weeks, monitoring scans, sedation for egg collection, just getting four eggs with only three fertilising, two embryos put back. At every step there seems to be more and more worries, don't think I'll ever be able to relax.

cryingbabymess · 18/03/2015 18:44

Ninja lucky you, there's no chance anyone could think that about me! I think I need to buy loads of fruit

roughtyping · 18/03/2015 18:54

Hi all.

Have had a horrid couple of days. Lots of spotting since yesterday morning, not sure what's caused it but had an awful sleep on Monday night with no dreams - have had v vivid dreams since becoming pg. Have a scan booked for tomorrow morning at the EPU, so have everything crossed. Am terrified and have been crying on and off, terrified of going to the bathroom.

Phoned in sick to work yesterday and manager was great, phoned today and manager asked a few intrusive questions which was quite upsetting - almost like she didn't believe me. Horrible.

Please send good thoughts this way!

Oh Rough, that must be bloody awful! Best of luck for tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you and sending positive thoughts.

Stuff what your manager thinks - this stuff is much more important!

CoffeeTwo · 18/03/2015 19:11

Hello all

Bowies really pleased to see your update :)

Got to dash I still have a sickly tot. Cleaning up sick and diarrhea is not the best way to spend your first few days of pregnancy! Will catch up later..

Dixiebell · 18/03/2015 19:21

Best wishes to all of you with bleeding, hope it all turns out fine. If any consolation, I had some beeding with both my pregnancies around the 12 week point and both times turned out to be nothing.

I also wanted to recommend Becks Blue for those of you who fancy a beer, it's the only non-alcoholic beer I found that tastes half decent. I don't like sweet drinks much so I like to have a beer option instead of just water occasionally. But if anyone knows a good job-alcoholic wine, do tell!

Plus wanted to say hello Lilliana [waves]. We are both from November 2012 thread so our LOs could end up sharing their third birthdays with new siblings... :)

roughtyping · 18/03/2015 19:23

Thanks for the thoughts.

I bled all through my first pregnancy, so probably shouldn't be panicking as much as I am. At least the appointment is early.

LadyStark · 18/03/2015 19:37

I had bleeding in my first pregnancy and it was a haematoma that caused rushes of blood a few times (basically until it was gone) - red to start and then brown spotting. They weren't particularly concerned and said it was pretty common and it stopped as suddenly as it started.
