staceym11 · 02/11/2006 08:32

good luck eeyoreuk!! thinking of you.

managed to sleep last night, prob thanks to the nature walk i took with dd yest afternoon that wore me right out. wont be managing it today tho as have tutoring today so will be in all day, at least dd will get some rest, she was knackered yest!

no signs of imminent labour, still having pains but cant say they'r regular at the moment, im jsut really fed up! still got a week and a half officially so could be nearer 4, that thought is so depressing!

purpleluce · 02/11/2006 08:58

Still here...false alarm for me then last night all petered out good luck eeyore

NatalieJane · 02/11/2006 09:10

Charlee I hope you are in for a better day today

Eeyore, wishing you loads and loads of luck Can't wait to hear your next posting

DS's first day back at school, it has taken me 15 minutes to get home, normally takes two minutes, people keep stopping and telling me that I can't have much longer to go, 4 weeks I say and they say, ah that's not so long now. 4 weeks seems like a bloody lifetime to me right now!!

I don't know if anyone saw the news yesterday, but there was a fire a few streets away that killed a mother and 4 kids and has put the father in hospital, DS's school, or rather the people have been quite badly effected, it seems of the school age children they all went to his school, and the mother (although I had never met her) was working very closely with a few of the muslims that go there. Kind of put's things into perspective.

Morning everyone - just caught up on posts. Thinking of you Eeyore - fingers crossed we have some news soon.
NJ - did hear about that in the news - it really is awful. Doesnt bear thinking about.
Charlee - I hope today is a bit better for you and that your Mum is okay too.
Last day at work today - I am going to go and get a bumper pack of Krispy Kreme donuts for everyone. As much as I have been looking forward to leaving, I will be sad to say goodbye to all my friends

Bethbe · 02/11/2006 10:20

Hi All,

Hope you have better days today. Sounds like there's a lot of pain and frustration going on. I had a roungh evening and night, but feel a bit better this morning - another thing no-one tells you about pregnancy - that labour-related discomforts happen in late pregnancy!

40weeks is this your last day at work? Mine's tomorrow! A reason I left it so late is to try to reduce the 'waiting around' time, but I'm really not comfortable any more!

Wishing you all a break from any pain or frustration.........!

40Weeks · 02/11/2006 10:30

Same here Bethbe - I figured if I finished a month before and the baby was 2 weeks late, I would have wasted 6 weeks of valuable baby time! But yes its getting difficult as just so uncomfortable now - my feet are huge and can only fit into one pair of shoes so am limited in what maternity clothes I can wear too! Plus I have just got a chest infection and so want to stay in bed now please.

Bethbe · 02/11/2006 10:42

Sorry to hear that 40 weeks! Hope you feel better soon, - although I suppose the thing that will make us all feel better will be to have our LOs out - - - - - -

Good luck to you all! Hope the niggles now mean efficient uterus and short painless labours!

DebbsyandBibby · 02/11/2006 11:26

saralou100 · 02/11/2006 11:28

morning all !

goodluck eeyore! look forward to hearing from you soon!!

stupid bloody new baby monitor is what woke me up in the night... the baby unit kept switching itself off, so the parent bit kept alarming to tell me.. i'm creeping round the house at 3.30 in the morning trying to find whats beeping at me! got back to sleep about 6ish and been up for about an hour now and feel all groggy... wanted to do stuff today but i'm not sure if i can be bothered yet... ds at nursery today and dp is gonna take the dog for long walkies over the heath, so i might soak in the bath for a few hours (my alternative option is to shampoo the carpets upstairs... hmmm now thats a toughie)

i can't believe i'm 37weeks tomorrow... wooohoo... the end is near!!!

Charleesunnysunsun · 02/11/2006 13:13

Hello

I have just got back from taking my nan shopping at Sainsbury's! we make a amusing sicht her with her 2 walking sticks and me hobbling along clutching my stomach!
But i am home now and ds is behaving reasonably well so that's good.

I have set up camp downstairs luckily my toilet and bathroom is on the ground floor and i have got dp to move all the spare bedding to the sofa as i can't climb the stairs anymore.

No change really, still crippled with pain but im more positive today, i figure there is nothing i can do about it and i could have possible 3 more weeks so im going to just have to get on with it.

A very sad story about the fire NJ. makes me realise my problems arn't really so bad.

I wonder if eeyoreuk has had her bubby yet?

40Weeks · 02/11/2006 13:45

Cherlee I think you are doing great

40Weeks · 02/11/2006 13:45

Charlee I think you are doing great

Charleesunnysunsun · 02/11/2006 14:31

So now im not!

Thanks 40 weeks that's really kind of you to say so.

DP has just come in, in the foulest of moods - horray!

Well, I have good news and great news

Good news is I have finally got a football pump thing that fits the birthing balls (yes I have two! Cock up obviously!!) but anyway now I am officially bouncing about with the rest of you, and boy does it feel good on my back! And the great news is that we just sold a mobile phone on eBay for way more than I need to buy the birthing pool and the extra kit thing for it Whooo hoooooooooo, I will have some pain relief after all - not quite an epidural but something is way way way better than nothing!!

I am so excited now, I feel like I would do a little dance if I could move!! I have to go and get DS in a few minutes, any chance of me turning this ball in to a bit of a space hopper? I don't want to get off!!!

40Weeks · 02/11/2006 14:58

Well done NJ. I am doing no work at all - I am a little bored. I have 10 donuts left on my desk (and two in my drawer that I havent told anyone about )

Well done NJ, love it when a plan comes together!
Sorry its all stopped for you Charlee, obviously these babies seem to have a sense of humour and are teasing their mummies about coming out!

My Mum and DH were laughing at me waddling to the loo last night and for a moment I dabbled with the idea of telling them that my waters had broken, just to see their faces and have a little giggle to myself. I didnt, as thought it was tempting fate a bit, but still, would have got my own back on them!

Bethbe · 02/11/2006 15:59

If I wasn't feeling so knackered, I might have come by for a doughnut!

Nevermind!

40Weeks · 02/11/2006 16:07

5 left now, and the two in my drawer are gone! (Although I only had one of them) People are being really shy about coming and having one. I think they are just scared about taking donuts off a pregnant womans desk.

I will save you one Bethbe

Bethbe · 02/11/2006 16:18

He he!

NJ, - good news for you! Hope Eeyoruk is doing alright.

So very very tired of all this waiting.....it's making me soooo unproductive. Can't be bothered to do anything!
