Mummy2Toby · 12/11/2006 22:07

wow - cogratulations to Podglet and Delia, if you find the time join us on the post natal thread (mind you, as you can imagine it's a bit quiet on there as everyone is dealing with their lo's) Take care everyone and hope you all meet your lo's soon - who will be next I wonder?

NatalieJane · 12/11/2006 22:26

Any news Debbsy?
Congratulations to Podglet and Delia Well done to both of you!!
Mygirl, hopefully not much longer for you then
Charlee, lovely to hear from you, thanks for keeping us updated. I am glad Harry is getting stronger

Feeling a bit sorry for myself today, I seem to go for a few days where I just get on with it all, and then have a day or so of being really down and mopey. I have been snapping at DS and DH all day, for no reason, DH has finished painting the hall and has nearly finished painting the kitchen, so it isn't as though he has done anything wrong!

Oh well, only another possible 4 and a half weeks to go.....

NatalieJane · 13/11/2006 08:31

This is so bloody depressing now! LOL Every day I wake up and think damnit, it didn't happen while I was asleep (!!! ) then straight away I start thinking does anything feel different? I woke up feeling sick this morning, normally I don't feel sick until I see/think about food, but it was here when I woke up, so that was my 'is this a sign' question today! LOL How pathetic?!!! LOL

If I get one comment today along the lines of 'Are you still with us?' or 'He's 'appy in there innit?' GRRRRRRRRR! I think I might actually say something horrid back....

harrogatemum · 13/11/2006 09:00

NJ I know just how you are feeling.......its my twins 2nd birthday today and a small part of me sort of hoped the baby would be born today so that birthdays would be really easy!! Plus DH goes off to London tomorrow until Thursday night and am scared about him not getting back in time if things kick off (and of being alone with the twins at night if anything happens).

Baby has started to slow down in movement though - could it be a sign?

NatalieJane · 13/11/2006 09:06

HM, Happy birthday to the twins You must be mad wanting 3 kids birthdays all on the same day, DS's birthday is bad enough on his own!! LOL

And I am told the baby slowing down is a sign, but my LO has been very quiet in the day time for 4 or 5 days now and still no show, so I think it could also be that once they are further engaged they settle down a lot.

Debbsy is very quiet, I wonder if she is too busy with her new baby to worry about MN?!!!

FoghornLeghorn · 13/11/2006 09:30

Morning All,

Happy birthday to DT's Harrogatemum You seriously deserve a medal.

8 days til due date now and am getting increasingly peeved. I just want the baby to come so I can sleep properly and be comfortable again and DD wants to play with her little brother or sister. Every day she asks if they are coming to play today.

Have started a thread for Northerner as it would have been her due date next week - would be nice if you could pop on and say hi so she knows we are thinking of her

NatalieJane · 13/11/2006 09:34

FHLH, Well done for starting the thread, but not sure I should post really, I did mention the girls that had to drop out of this thread last week, but I haven't kept in contact with any of them, I don't know if it is a bit like rubbing their noses in it, when it isn't coming from someone they 'know' IYSWIM?

harrogatemum · 13/11/2006 09:40

Hi FHLH - i will go on the thread as Northerner lives in the same town as me - what topic is it under?

FoghornLeghorn · 13/11/2006 10:31

Its in Other Subjects HM.
I don't 'know' her as such NJ, we seemed to be a quite alot of the same threads that's all

Kaybee7777 · 13/11/2006 10:40

Congratulations to the new arrivals!

Is it normal for the baby to carry on moving heaps right up until you go into labour, or would you expect a quietening down????

Mine is still bashing the hell out of me and I don't think it's a good sign! He's never coming out!! (i am not even due until Sunday but am praying he comes this week)

saralou100 · 13/11/2006 11:50

delia and podglet, big congratulations to you both!!

yesterday was a lovely day, although i am never travelling that far again in one day.. 2 and half hours each way was not the most comfortable i've ever been in my life!! could tell sis wasn't up for it at all, had a good old cry together when i got their and a long chat in the evening when everyone had gone.. most importantly though nephew had a great time and got lots of noisy pressies

today i just wanna sleep and dp's gone out leaving me with ds!!

saralou100 · 13/11/2006 13:11

where is everyone... your all having babies aren't you!!!!! it's never this quiet on here...................

40Weeks · 13/11/2006 13:34

Hello everyone - havent logged on since last week - my you have been busy. Well dont to everyone whose babies have arrived.
I am due on Thursday and everytime I ring someone they are all excited as though I am announcing that I am in labour or have had the baby. I emailed my work colleagues and they got all excited when they saw a mail from me only to rea;lise I was just saying thanks for my pressies. SO its nice to know that they are only interested in one thing!
Have been trying to relax and get the house sorted - am at Mums and gave our bedroom and bathroom a good clean yesterday 'just in case' and we finally have tenants in our flat and are ready to exchange on our house. Cant believe we are doing it all this week when baby is due!
But still, we are ready now so can relax and maybe something will start happening. Having regular period pains but they are consistent and not spasmodic so thinks its just having a stretch before the main event. Hope you are all feeling well, or better at least

staceym11 · 13/11/2006 13:39

hi everyone, oh NJ i hope things finally get moving for you. and you debbsy, you seem really fed up now, if its any consolation as soon as that baby is you you'll feel much better, at least i did!

congrats to all the new babies!!!!

keiran doing fine here, hes eating like a goodun and sleeps a lot too, hes only really had a screaming fit once and thats coz he was hungry and i didnt realise (he'd only eaten half hour before!) so im a lucky mummy!

hope you all get to hold your babies soon!

40Weeks · 13/11/2006 13:48

Sorry not been around thanks for well widhes Stace and nj im still here been so busy, having carpet fitted, and Sophie one of the bassetts has gone in for an operation this morning so ive been really busy.Been to se mw this afternoon she confirmed pressure pains are bibbys head engaging 4/5 now so still away to go she said the pains will get worse as he moves down, bump dropped and she says average weight he will be will be 7.5-8lbs
Hope everyone is well mygirl the days not over yet its your due date today isnt it? Good luck i wonder who will be next

NatalieJane · 13/11/2006 15:34

FHLH, I will leave a message in just a second then.
Kaybee, I think the babies movements could be a bit of a red herring TBH, I don't know for sure, but my LO has been very quiet since he ngaged properly last week, but still no show so it isn't him slowing down down hasn't been a sign of labour IYSWIM?
Mygirl, believe me I know how bloody fruststrating the contractions are, again I am hoping it won't be much longer for you
Sara, Sorry I meant to ask how it went this morning and it completely slipped my mind, it sounds like it went well though, I hope your sister can start to see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel soon.
40 weeks, rather you than me, that is all I am saying!!
Stacey, so glad things are going so well for you all. Can't wait for the picture, although I can't help with it, sorry.

Still nothing here, have had loads and loads of show come away again, I seriously don't know where it is all coming from! My sister rang this afternoon, one who I don't get along with very well, and she was saying all the usual crap that people come out with, I wouldn't mind but she hadn't rang really to see how we all were doing or anything, just to tell me what I can her sons for christmas since she guessed I would want to get it all sorted before the baby is born....! Cowbag, she didn't even ask what DS wanted, and I'm way too polite to say anything, so my poor DH got in the ear, I had to ring him about something anyway and he asked if every thing was OK, que me ringing off a list of things that aren't alright... GRRR

Poor bloke, he is doing everything he can bless him, I will make it up to him tonight

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 13/11/2006 16:34

Hi all
Debbsy - I know how you feel - I've been feeling sick and getting almost continous pain - I slept for four hours today (I'll never get a thing done now). Haven't felt the urge to clean the cooker at 4 in the morning though! Wasn't sure whether to call midwife as I have a bit of swelling in both hands and feet and feel most peculiar. however my BP was fine last week and I am seeing her tomorrow morning. Had what felt like contraction in Lidl's the other day (bit embarrasing) - went right from back to front and across bump - but it didn't last long and I haven't really had nothing since. As if to prove that it wasn't going anywhere - baby went for a marathon movement session yesterday - started about 6pm and was still going strong about 4 in the morning. Not sure if too much movement is good or bad - baby still very active - but I have one hell of a headache and am so tired I could sleep for England.

Anyhow congrats to those with new babies - good luck to everyone else.
