will look forward to more baby news!! xx

NatalieJane · 12/11/2006 00:41

Sara, sorry about your sister It is so hard at the best of times let alone then having to face her with your pregnancy as well.
Debbsy, I really hope something starts moving for you tonight, when is your next appointment with the midwife?

Still the same here loads of BH, loads of contractions, loads of period type pain, feeling sick but have awful heartburn that just won't shift that I think is causing the sickness, lots of pressure especially in my back/bum, and have lost the biggest piece of show so far tonight (sorry if TMI) we have tried sex/orgasms, walking, cleaning and scrubbing, running around after DS on his bike (well, when I say running, I don't mean actual running!!) none of it has shifted him.

I am quite sad to say that as much as I want to meet him and hold him and everything else, I just really want the pregnancy bit over with now. I loved my first pregnancy, flew through it with no problems, felt 100% nearly every day, but this one at least for the last couple of months has been a nightmare. I am so fed up of being up all night most nights, getting no rest from contractions that bloody hurt but that don't do anything at all, not even in the slightest. I am fed up of not being able to eat anything, I am fed up of going to the bloody toilet for a wee every 10 minutes, and I am fed up of not being able to move if I have sat still for more than 30 seconds.

And now I expect you will all be fed up of me going on and on again! Sorry girls, but same old story, it does really help to just get it all off my chest every now and then.

Sara hope tomorrow goes OK if I don't catch you before

DebbsyandBibby · 12/11/2006 01:18

Sara sorry to hear about your sister.
nj sorry your feeeling like this hopefully it will soon be over.xx
well i managed to sleep from ten till 12 going on sofa now to try and get comfy v oncomfy again pain not as bad though at the minute so at least thats something...mw appoint on monday afternoon at 2.30pm nj cant wait hopefully shes going to tell me im in early labour hopefully...

NatalieJane · 12/11/2006 01:23

Hey, you never know, you might have been through the whole of labour by then!!

And no, I think I am still going to be here in December, I said all along December 2nd, then at the end of October my sister had a dream it would be on the '2nd' and she assumed it meant 2nd November, but obviously it wasn't so it must have meant 2nd December...

DH said earlier it can't go on much longer, but I said we had been saying that since it all started over 4 weeks ago, if it has been going on for 4 weeks and hasn't produced anything, who is to say it won't be another 4 weeks?!

DebbsyandBibby · 12/11/2006 01:24

it wont i think you will pop this week just a feeling..

DebbsyandBibby · 12/11/2006 01:26

going to go and lie down on sofa now catch you later, try and get some sleep hun.

NatalieJane · 12/11/2006 01:26

LOL I have had 'just feelings' for weeks on end, I honestly don't think he is going anywhere! I have actually started trying to sort something out for someone - anyone - to look after DS incase I end up having to be induced again and so can't have the home birth. It is to be laughed at really, at 33 weeks I was worried about going into premature labour, and now I am worried about being induced!! LOL

NatalieJane · 12/11/2006 01:27

OK, try a nice hot water bottle, it might help it a bit. Hope you get some rest xxx

DebbsyandBibby · 12/11/2006 01:28

you too xxx

NatalieJane · 12/11/2006 01:41

Hey actually, (and I do realise I am talking to myself!) One good thing, my ankles are no where near as swollen as they were, they are still a bit puffy, and still feeling a bit bruised, but I can actually get my trainers on now with the laces opened up as much as possible! My wrist is still as swollen, but that was never as bad as my feet anyway, and my tounge still feels 'in the way' so I guess that is still swollen, but at least I can move my feet now, seems DH's lovely massaging has done the trick!!

Oh and did anyone else catch Take That on Parky? OMG!! LOL They looked really rough, Mark looked quite poorly actually, Gary, bless him, he was obviously trying to look as rough 'n' ready as the rest of them, but he just looked like a twonk! LOL (Sorry, I am a bit of a closet fan really!! )

And for the X factor fans, Wasn't Ben good again? I love that man!!

NatalieJane · 12/11/2006 09:33

How are you this morning Debbsy?

DebbsyandBibby · 12/11/2006 09:51

not too bad thanks managed to get to sleep at 4 up cleaning the cooker at 7 lol pain not too bad though touch wood. How are you?x

NatalieJane · 12/11/2006 10:00

Glad you got a bit of rest, I went up to bed not long after you went, woke up an hour later for a wee, last time I looked at the clock it was 4.59, then 5.50 the alarm went off, DS obviously had played with it! Then it woke DS up, and we have up since then! Loads of contractions this morning, and tonnes off pressure, same old story really!

I expect YM is well on the way now Hpefully you won't be too far behind her

DebbsyandBibby · 12/11/2006 11:21

hopefully you wont too we are due within 2 days of each other

podglet · 12/11/2006 12:08

Hi all,

Sorry to have disappeared for so long and also sorry that I haven't got time to catch up properly but the internet has been down at home since 31st Oct and this is the first oppourtunity to log on (on my Mum's laptop)

I am very pleased to announce that I did not hang around on mat leave and my waters went at 7.30 am on Monday 30th Oct! Ivan David Hull was botn on 1st November 2006 (does this make me the first November mummy?) at 3.08 am by emergency c-section including General Anaesthetic, 3 weeks early weighing 7lb 15oz!

Birht plan did not get written. Short version of events...

30th Oct - 7.30 am - waters go - all over flat. Call labour ward who tell me to come straight in. Call DP who has just arrived at his desk and made his first coffee!

3.30pm - get moved from delivery room to ante natal ward as nothing happening. Told Induction will be started at 7.30 next morning if nothing overnight.

31st Oct - 8.00 am - 15 deliveries overnight, none mine. DP arrives, expecting induction to have started - it hasn't.

1pm - back down to delivery room. Prostin gel given, left for 6 hours. Nothing.

7pm. Drip started - gas and air. 1 cm dilated.

11pm. Drip up to max. Epidural given. 1cm dilated

1st Nov - 2am - 2cm dilated. Baby's heartbeat very low. Drip switched off.

2.30 am - decision made to have emergency c-section as baby's heartbeat still v low.

3.08 am - Ivan arrives. Had to have GA as felt 2nd stage of cutting - gulp!

We have been home since Friday 3rd November and we're loving it. Feeding well, having dropped to 7lb 5oz, now back up to 7lb 12oz. Nights not so good but to be expected!

Many congrats to everybody else who has had their bundles and fingers crossed for those who are waiting. Hope everyone is well and happy.

harrogatemum · 12/11/2006 12:15

oh wow podglet what a story!!! Feeling the cutting sounds scary!

Big congrats though on the birth of your gorgeous boy - is there a pic on birth announcments?!

podglet · 12/11/2006 12:19

Feeling the cutting WAS scary - I screamed the theatre down apparently! Not exactly the birth I wanted but the result makes it all worth while!
No pics yet but will try to work out how to do it when our PC is back up and running - have stolen my Mum's laptop at the moment!

DebbsyandBibby · 12/11/2006 12:25

congratulations podglet on your little bundle wow how scary? glad everythings ok now xx

Delia · 12/11/2006 12:32

Hi all, not had chance to catch up will read all the news a bit later, but congrats to anyone who has given birth whilst i've been away. We're in a bit of a wirl wind with visitors, feeding and generally getting to know our new bundle of joy.

Paige Alyson was born at 9.40 on the 9/11/06 weighing 7lb 3oz. She is perfect in every way.

harrogatemum · 12/11/2006 12:33

oh gosh - another baby! They are coming thick and fast!

Congrats Delia - hope you can spare the time to post a birth story at some stage.........!
