nj- well i havent had sex for bout a week and to be honest being now 11days ova it feels kind of wrong not sure why lol, ive been drinking pineapple juice and im a non stop cleaner at the min and no i havent tried the nip stim dont you need a breast pump i havent got one yet thought id wait to see how breast feeding went b4 buying!!

good luck to delia!! x

youngmum21 · 09/11/2006 09:37

pee'd off isnt the word id be using this morning but sumthing like that yes!!

NatalieJane · 09/11/2006 09:40

Nipstim works with out the pump as well, it is more about getting turned on really, reading a partic raunchy book or I expect even just lie down and think norty thoughts for a while would do the job LOL Or if you are feeling very brave a bit of erm... ahem.... DIY (IYSWIM?!!!) It is about getting the hormone worked up that is released when you are feeling a bit frisky, don't know which hormone it is though! And if you managed to orgasm, that could help to kick start your uterus contracting... (Or so they tell me.... LOL)

NatalieJane · 09/11/2006 09:42

Oh you poor thing, I was trying to be polite with pee'd off, but you feel free to be as rude as you like!!

youngmum21 · 09/11/2006 09:44

gosh ive just scared myself to death just went to the loo and sorry for tmi but wiped myself and just had a huge show and i mean huge it bloody scared me silly for a min!!!!

youngmum21 · 09/11/2006 09:46

thanks for the advice nj mite try it lata b4 dp gets home not feeling very frisky at all anymore but i guess if it work im willing to try!!!

NatalieJane · 09/11/2006 09:50

I know what you mean about scaring yourself LOL Hopefully this will be it for you, don't get in the bath, keep moving around, lots of walking and lots of cleaning, obviously don't over do it though, you will need the energy for the labour.

youngmum21 · 09/11/2006 09:56

having a shower is ok though isnt it?
well ill try do a bit of cleaning and guess a walk round the block i cud do as it a lovely day here at the min!!!

NatalieJane · 09/11/2006 10:02

Yeah, showers are fine Baths just relax you a bit too much. If you are feeling really energentic, go for a good walk round town, do some xmas shopping, it will take your mind off of it, well for a while at least!

youngmum21 · 09/11/2006 10:09

humm did town yesterday for 3 or 4 hours dont think i cud face it again lol!!! Well thanks for the advice best go have a shower mite make me feel a bit more human!!!

Have a gud day! xx

Aww thanks for keeping us posted. Loads of congratulations to Delia, can't wait for the details!!

I am going to take my own advice and go into town again, (if I can get my shoes back on!!) see you all later

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 09/11/2006 10:30

[thread crash: incase anyone is wondering/concerned.. Debz99 has good news too but I know she wants to post it herself when she is able]

fatbetty · 09/11/2006 10:37

Glad to hear I'm not the only one getting criticism for having 3 children. I'm one of three kids and I wouldn't really expect it from my mom - but I do get the odd comments about it from her. Probably got more horrible comments from her when expecting DS2. Don't even feel like talking to her about the kids anymore. Oh well.

DebbsyandBibby · 09/11/2006 10:46

chubley hope you feel better soon
nj i know what you mean its so satisfying being 100% ready we are too.

camgirl · 09/11/2006 11:13

Hello all,

Not been on for a while so have been catching up on everyone's stories.

I'm 40+5 and have been having various quite painful twinges for about two days, but no sign of anything else happening, so just waiting at the moment.

Hope things get going soon.

C.

saralou100 · 09/11/2006 11:30

morning all! feeling a bit shitty at the moment.. i'm so bloody uncomfortable all the time, my belly is stretched to it's absolute limit and can't possibly grow anymore, but it does! really depressing thought yesterday, if i go late again the latest they will induce me is 2 weeks over.. so i could still have another month of this! aaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhh!

and then i feel bad for thinking that cause i'm so lucky... my sister who should be 9weeks pg had an scan yesterday and told theirs just a sack, so she's just waiting to miscarry now.

i've been up since 3 this morning, woke up and couldn't get back to sleep again! pretty much every night this week i've done that, so tiredness is not helping me..

saralou100 · 09/11/2006 12:26

not been sick... drinking lots of tea though! i'm all tea'd out now..

FoghornLeghorn · 09/11/2006 12:51

Still nothing from me Have tried every possible suggestion made and nothing is working. Have just got home from marathon walk to Sainsbury's and have period pains again but have had these virtually constantly for a week or so.

I WANT MY BABY !

BIL has just had his first, this morning by CSection. Hopefully going to the hospital to visit will scare me into labour

NatalieJane · 09/11/2006 14:25

I am back from town, more of the same really, period pains and BH with the odd proper contraction thrown in, and I am feeling really sick, couldn't eat my lunch, but I am starving!! My belly is rock hard, really really uncomfortable, but I don't suppose it will come to anything, I think I had really better start getting my head round going through a few more weeks of this yet, you'd have thought that 4 weeks was enough for all of this messing about but obviously my body thinks differently!!

harrogatemum · 09/11/2006 15:46

Just back from hospital - only an antenatal appt but was convinced they were going to admit me due to baby moving around so much...no such luck. Baby has decided to play ball and head is 3/5 engaged. I thought second pregnancies, the head didnt engage? Or have I just made that up? ANyway they seem convinced that it wont move out of that position now so guess when my next hospital appt is? 30th November when I will be a week overdue. AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH I cant wait that long!

DH is peed off, he was hoping to be a Daddy again before the weekend!

NatalieJane · 09/11/2006 15:55

HM, I think all the text books say that second babies don't engage until labour/birth, but this one has been in and out a few times, he was 3/5ths engaged yesterday when the midwife checked and she said she doesn't think he will get back out now, and if I am right he has gotten lower still since then. His movements have really slowed down now, I was actually a bit worried this morning, I hadn't felt him move (where as normally he doesn't stop!) and with the swelling I have it was concerning me a bit, but I gave him an hour and felt him shuffle a bit, even since that though he has been very quiet.
