Hiya Mygirl, how are things with FIL? Is he still behaving?

My BP was 90/60 at booking in, and today was measured at 120/60, I am not worried about it at all now, just wish my feet would go down a bit, they are throbbing at the moment.

NatalieJane · 08/11/2006 15:16

Good luck Youngmum, I will keep my fingers crossed for you

DebbsyandBibby · 08/11/2006 16:37

Help advice needed for first timer started to feel alot of wetness over the past 2 days and this morning had a wet patch in my pjs about the size of a 50p piece feel wet again now and been getting feelings of pressure in my bum and foofy what do i do please?

harrogatemum · 08/11/2006 16:39

D&B - I dont know, but I do want you to know that you have made me laugh out loud with the word foofy! Tee hee! Sorry, not being very helpful am I.

harrogatemum · 08/11/2006 16:40

and I am sure someone with more experience on natural labour (I was induced last time) will be along to help you shortly.

DebbsyandBibby · 08/11/2006 16:43

lol everone laughs when i say foofy

chubley · 08/11/2006 17:01

Congratulations HC on the arrival of your beautiful baby girl!

Didn't get much sleep due to period pain all night and nausea which I've been getting on and off today as well.

Youngmum21 - don't worry, you didn't get me any more worried about the sweep than I was anyway, I'm only worried as I've never had one before despite this being no. 3. I'm one of these people who prefer to hear about it as it is, not glossed over, IYKWIM. People on the other threads on membrane sweeps describe them as 'uncomfortable', but in a way internals are worse than contractions and giving birth! I still feel that I had too many internals during my first labour! Hope things really get going for you soon.

DebbsyandBibby · 08/11/2006 17:10

anyone here?

spinach · 08/11/2006 17:12

Congrats HopingCat... or dd's share the same names and the same birthday!

chubley · 08/11/2006 17:17

D&B, sorry haven't had experience of this before my due date, but it sounds like you've either had a show or you're getting increased foofy discharge! (LOL too at that word!). What colour is it?

I've been getting increased discharge over the last few days, nothing to worry about, it's quite normal towards the end.

Sounds as though your baby's moving downwards deeper into the pelvis. Was baby engaged before? If not, it could have just engaged! I had loads of pressure in my bum for a few weeks last time round with DD, this time it's more down to the bottom of my bump at the front. Sometimes if I sit down too long (at MN ) I find it really uncomfy to get off the chair and straighten up!

DebbsyandBibby · 08/11/2006 17:51

its colourless like water

eenybeeny · 08/11/2006 17:54

DebbyandBibby - sorry to crash the thread. I saw the problem you are having. It could be your waters. I had my baby in August and this happened with me. Turns out my waters were just trickling out for days and days before I was induced. The big gush of waters didnt happen til day 5. This caused a lot of problems for me and my baby please get a MW to check you out.

Sorry for crashing the thread I just like reading new baby announcements so I popped in and saw that!

DebbsyandBibby · 08/11/2006 17:57

thanks eeny

fatbetty · 08/11/2006 20:11

Congratulations HC! She's gorgeous.

Nothing new to report - no twinges or anything. Think LO will be like DS2 and finds my womb very comforting and will stay in there as long as possible.

Just got off the phone with my Mum and I'm so frustrated! I just feel like I get all these negative comments about having no.3 and that I must be insane for even considering having 3 children under the age of 4. I suppose I had the same feedback when I was expecting DS2 (who was born 18 months after DS1). Do others feel this way too? I'm trying to stay positive about the whole thing but it really is getting to me. My hormones are getting the better of me. Sorry to vent.......

NatalieJane · 08/11/2006 23:11

Debbsy everything at this stage is all helping towards the birth, hoping it is your turn

Those of you who remember quite clearly when you were trying to get pregnant, y'know how five minutes after having sex you talked yourself into having every pregnancy symptom in the book and then spent the next two weeks convincing yourself even more that your boobs hurt like hell and that you were spending more time going for a wee than anything else? Do you think you can do that for labour? As in talk yourself into feeling it all before it actually starts?

DebbsyandBibby · 09/11/2006 02:42

nothing since just feeling uncomfy pressure gone and no more wetness.

chubley · 09/11/2006 04:47

Have just got out of bed, can hardly sleep for feeling rough. Think I've picked up a tummy bug, maybe from taking the DCs to soft play. Thought it might be early signs of labour, but feels more like a bug. Went to bed at 8.30 last night but kept waking up - the 3rd night in a row of not sleeping properly.

Yep, NJ, think I'm trying to convince myself into feeling all the early signs of labour before it starts, I so much want to meet this LO.

chubley · 09/11/2006 04:57

FB, I know what you mean, as I'll have 3 children under 5 - cos we wanted 3! Last time I found 2 1/2 years quite a hard gap between DS and DD so wanted a smaller gap this time, also so they can do similar things together as they grow up. I couldn't imagine myself having say an 8 or 10-year gap before no 3, not that I'm young enough to do that!

I was dreading announcing pg no 3 as people seem so fixated on the idea that 2 is the right number of children. I respect the people I know who only want one child for having made that choice and sticking to it, but equally a couple of friends also want a third. And if someone wants 5 children then why not (but not me!).

NatalieJane · 09/11/2006 08:32

Debbsy this might still be it.
Chubley, hope you feel better today

Well I am still here, last night I was nearly convinced it was either going to happen, or it was happening, I felt awful, but then (once I made it to bed) went and got the best nights sleep I have had for months and now feel fine again, not only did I not wake up for a wee, but also DS got into our bed this morning after DH got out and I didn't know, and then I slept through my alarm and it was only because DH was still here then and came and got me up, else I don't think I'd have heard it at all!!

And I am entirly blaming the midwife for last night (), she shouldn't have said what she did, it meant that I was looking for signs so intently that signs I have been having for a while seemed more pronounced and made me think it was kicking off.

Anyway, DH moved the dining room round to make room enough for the pool and then got the pool pumped up, so it is all ready and waiting now, and that is it, we have finished all the buying and sorting, everything is completely 100% ready, the equipment and drugs are here, the nursery is finished, we just need a baby now to really finish it all off!

NatalieJane · 09/11/2006 08:43

Hey, just thought, no sign of Charlee yesterday, I hope everything is OK

mummygunpowdertreasonhill · 09/11/2006 09:25

Just been informed that Delia has gone into hospital so hopefully you will have another birth anouncement soon.

NatalieJane · 09/11/2006 09:28

Gosh it seems we were all sat around last night thinking things were happening, it is bloody cruel this giving birth malarki!

Sending positive vibes and thoughts for Delia

Youngmum, have you tried all of the sex and cleaning and nipple stim, and pineapples etc? I should imagine you are feeling very pee'd off now

harrogatemum · 09/11/2006 09:32

you are all scaring me with your talk of 3 under 4 and 5 - if this baby is born before Monday I will have 3 under 2.

Might as well just chain myself to the changing table now.....AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH
