Thanks for all your help on bottles/wipes/nappies etc. Perhaps I'll just get a selection. I'm a bit of a brand/supermarket tart anyhow and usually just follow the offers around!

I really hope I get the nesting instinct soon, - I've been saving all the washing for quite some time and I'm now starting to run out of clothes!

I took a while because the birthing pool was delivered so was having a play with it! So that is it now, we are ready for the baby whether he is ready or not is another question altogether.

I rang the midwife she asked what my BP was yesterday (not the same midwife that was there yesterday) and she said 'Oh it is up a bit' so she is coming to do it again at some point today.

I don't know if anyone knows anything about BP but it was 122/82 yesterday, it doesn't seem much different to me, my other readings in my notes are around 120/70 or there abouts, and I wasn't aware that I had been edging into the high range, I have always been closer to the low BP before this pregnancy, or so I thought!!

I am still feeling very wet and uncomfortably down there today, but I don't think it is my waters, just gallons of discharge, LOL Sorry if TMI, does anyone else find that being able to talk about these sorts of things on here makes it easier for things to slip out in real life? I found myself telling my neighbour yesterday all sorts of stuff, only realising after that cervical discharge and positioning are probably not what she popped round for a cuppa and a chat about!! LOL

Mmmmmm, just had the remains of a curry from 2 days ago! Poor LO isn't gonna have a chance if I can't even stick to a standard/acceptable routine!

I still have some left if you nesting people wanna come round and do my ironing!

LMAO, I tell you what I will do you a deal, when I start doing our own ironing, then I might think about doing someone elses, just don't hold your breath, I'm not even sure if we own an iron anymore it has been that long since we used it!

Don't panic NJ - hopefully its nothing. I havn't been able to wear shoes since about 32 weeks as my feet and legs were swollen - have lived in my birkenstocks! gets a bit cold in this weather. I also get swollen hands, wrists and face although they do seem to go down during the day and back up again in the evening.
A couple of occasions my bp has been 80 for the bottom number but then it goes back to 70 so they are not worried.

All contractions/braxton hicks i may have felt last night kept me up until about 5 and then vanished completely! i've been for a bit of a walk this morning and now gonna chill with a cuppa before getting dd from school.

Hi all.
Sorry to take so long to tell you the news. Our internet stopped working!
I'm home and we have our baby! Amazingly, we've also called her Isabelle Grace and she was born at 4.10am on Saturday 4th Nov weighing 7lb 14oz. So I managed to predict the date correctly and wasn't far off with the weight, but was completely wrong to think she was a boy!

I won't scare you all with too many details of labour. Will just say it was 24 hours long, she was back to back, and it ended with ventouse and episiotomy - not very nice at all! Managed with just Tens at home and got to 5cm, then had gas and air plus half a shot of pethidine in hospital. I'm tired but am glad to be home now. First night was hard work as she screamed most of the time but hopefully she'll settle better through the week.

Congratulations to all the other ladies who were in hospital at the same time as me and have their babies too.

Have been laid low with a chest infection and just getting better now. Midwife came around today, all is well and we are ready to go. 38+ today and having lots of pains but think its all just getting ready. Have even managed to get some Christmas shopping in!

Midwife has just been, BP back down, as low as it was at booking in now my wee is clear, she checked baby and he is fine (and 3/5 engaged - whooopie!!! He isn't getting back out now ) said to keep my feet up to help the swelling go down, and to ring her again if I feel funny in any way. I feel like a complete time waster now, but at least all is well

Just got internet access back so I now 'exist' again. Wow wee lots to catch up on, love all of the profiles and new baby names. Congrats to all and keep them coming!!

8 days till due but just don't feel like i'm about to give birth.... Anyone else? Weird, hope I won't be too late tho.

Bit delayed but sympathy to those with SPD pains. I've been to Osteopath twice now and difference was AMAZING!!! No more nightime pain or clicking. Fortunately my friend referred me to hers, and Osteo is pregnant herself so really knew what she was doing. Doesn't cure it but gives relief. Otherwise, legs together and shuffle on.

Nope, nothing from either of them yet, hopefully that means good news!!

I wonder how the girls that had to drop out at the beginning are feeling? Sorry probably a bit morbid, but I expect they are having a difficult time at the moment.

im still here just been walking round town with dp for the last 4 hours am bloody knacked!!!
Am getting period pains again that seem to peak like id imagine a contraction but nothing regular or defo and dont think they are painful enough to be contractions lol!!! Just had a show aswel so am hoping things are looking up for me
