Charleesunnysunsun · 06/11/2006 11:15

Morning.

I have managed to get an appointment with the nice Dr at our local surgery tonight so i am going to ask him to either induce me or give me some super strong painkillers with anti sickness drugs as i simply cannot last another 2 weeks in this pain.
It's begining to make not only myself suffer but also ds and dp.

I had another show this morning - not that, that means anything at all as you all well know! FHLH I hope something happens for you, i have been feeling alot 'wetter' for a week or so now but nothing actually coming away either, they do say vagial discharge does increase towards the end of the pregnancy but do get checked if your not sure.

spinach · 06/11/2006 11:51

Congratulations Spinich, there coming thick and fast now.

Pinkmagic I know how you feel, i'm officially overdue now to and DH asks me every night as we go to bed if it will be tomorrow and I just keep saying talk to your child and tell it to come out cause it's not listening to me!

NatalieJane · 06/11/2006 13:12

Congrats Spinach As has been said they really are beautiful names

FHLH, fingers crossed things are starting for you, keep us updated!!

The midwife has just been to drop of the equipment for the home birth, DH nipped home for his lunch (doesn't happen very often) I am trying to get in touch with the doctor for the results of the blood test I had on Friday to see if I am imune to chicken pox with no luck so far.... thought I would chill on MN for a few minutes, and then try again, I am glad I did now, baby news always makes me feel better!!

youngmum21 · 06/11/2006 13:30

delia i know wot you mean everyday dp asks me if any thing happen and if she will be coming out it starting to get really annoying now!!! lol

Charleesunnysunsun · 06/11/2006 13:35

Spinach - Congratulations on the safe birth of your dd!

Every twinge and pain i have, dp jumps up and asks if im ok, he does worry bless him!

9 babies born now, were getting there girls!

harrogatemum · 06/11/2006 14:19

I am suddenly panicking that I dont have everything ready for the baby......could I have forgotten something? Got the Moses Basket - got bottles and steriliser and formula, just in case......got a single buggy.......am I forgetting anything? Help!!

Have posted this elsewhere but cleaned my oven yesterday - serious nesting kicking in, what can it mean???

NatalieJane · 06/11/2006 14:25

LOL HM, I think it is called 'brain going into over drive'!!

As long as you have clothes, blankets, nappies and cuddles, you haven't forgotten anything you will need for the first couple of days, after which if anything is 'missing' mothercare will be open!!

saralou100 · 06/11/2006 14:55

hi all! congratulations spinach!

we're on a bit of a roll now aren't we..

charlee... really for you, just read your other thread and it sucks! my midwife is incredibly useless too, spent ages using the joys of being pregnant line, it was consultant who diagnosed and refferred me to physio... i got an cancellation appointment in about 2 weeks for physio.. you really do need to see someone though, it has helped me so much, i've gone from being like you describe to feeling fairly normal again since the physio.. stamp your feet honey!! best thing is to rest as much as you can (which i understand is diffficult) i find when i do lots it hurts like hell again, but on the days when i don't do anything it's a lot better!

i saw consultant again today (i love him!) everything is fine, bump back to measuring right size again.. won't induce me till 14days late (spd is no reason to induce apparently) i'm happy with this though, he's a real hands off type and i would rather not have any medical intervention (except an epidural).

ooohh im getting so excited, now been in to town today and brought new dressing gown slippers and pjs finished off hospital bag. all ready now just in case lol.
who's next on the list then?

Charleesunnysunsun · 06/11/2006 19:10

Evening

I have seen my G.P this evening, he was really kind and understanding. He said i had a choice of either being admitted to hospital for strict 24/7 bed rest untill i go into labour or i could come home with some super strong painkillers and anti sickness drugs and be on 24/7 bed rest untill i feel better or untill LO is born.

I chose the latter i am not laying in hospital away from my ds for another 2 weeks! He also advised dp to meet with his bosses tommorrow to ask for his 2 weeks holiday off, this would usually need 2 weeks notice but hopefully in the circumstances they will agree. It will mean he wont be allowed more than a day or two when LO is actually born but unfortunatley i need him here more at the moment.

So i am home i have taken my medication and dp helped me in and out the bath, im just about to go and get into my make shift bed and watch some t.v.

Mummytotoby - What a gorgeous little girl you have! You must be dead chuffed!

It is getting exciting now isn't it! Im 38 weeks tommorrow so i know it's only 2 weeks maximum i will have to wait to see LO!

On the plus side whilst waiting in the Dr's dp and i decided on the name Harry for a little boy so now we have both sexes names sorted!

I keep having the strangest dreams! It's a bit embarassing to say but i have had several dreams about breastfeeding kittens! I have no idea why, you will have to belive me when i say im really not into anything wierd!

Well off to rest, hope some more babies come along in the night to keep that list growing!

DebbsyandBibby · 06/11/2006 21:13

glad your feeling better Charlee and more positive x

Hattie05 · 06/11/2006 21:25

Hi everyone, glad you have some painkillers Charleysunnysunsun! The more i read about your pain the more i think i had similar when pg with dd1, i spent most evenings in tears, immobile and wondering whether to go to a&e but midwives just kept telling me it was normal and nothing could be done. Glad you had a GP who listened!

Is anyone on iron tablets? I'm finding it catch22, at first i was only taking them occasionally but the more tired i get the more i have been taking and they are really buggering up bowel movements . I know they caused constipation with my first pg, but this time its worse - i have a constant need to go feeling is kinda urgent , but then i sit on the loo and nothing normally happens. I have been going probably every other day, but feel like i need to go constantly. Is this normal?

Congratulations to all those who've had their babies and fingers crossed for ladies in waiting!

PinkMagic - Just gatecrashing your thread to see how you are doing? Thinking of you and looking fwd to the good news soon!!! Love M x

NatalieJane · 07/11/2006 07:29

Morning all

M2T, Freya is beautiful, you must be so very proud of her I am very !! Thank you so much for finding a few minutes to share her with us all.
Charlee, I am pleased you seem to have found an answer, fingers crossed you won't have to wait till 40 weeks though still!

I am quite annoyed with myself this morning, I actually went to bed at the same time as DH last night, and got to sleep about 12-ish which is so much better than usual, but then woke up at just after 3 o'clock and didn't manage to go back off, so my "early" night was wasted!

I have a midwife appointment today, oh joy! And it is my last day for a chance of a hospital birth, and there is a big part of me that is really wanting to go into labour today so I don't have to do it at home!! LOL How silly is that?!!

Well I suppose I had better get on with DS's lunch, will catch up later, hope to hear more baby news by then so get your skates on ladies!!
