NatalieJane · 04/11/2006 00:19

No, I don't think anything is happening tonight, I had period type pains with the contractions when they started 3 weeks ago, and nothing happened then. Maybe it is only when the baby is engaged a bit that it makes it feel like period pains as well as the contractions? I don't know!

Due date been and gone eh? You really are on the count down now! Have you tried anything to get it going yet?

Charleesunnysunsun · 04/11/2006 08:18

Morning all

Im sitting here in my dressing gown! Just had our new washing machine delivered, they couldn't install it as they couldn't turn our taps under the sink FFS I can turn them so he should beable to! He told me to call and pay for a plumber to do it, i will get dp to do it instead he did the last one.

I had an okish nights sleep my 'bits' are still as painfull as hell especially when rolling over and shifting in bed, luckily dp went and plugged ds's gob up with a bottle when he decided to wake up at 5.30am this morning so i got an extra hour's lay in.

DP is working late again today (they really do take the piss) and then he has arranged for me to meet aload of his work mates at the pub, which i don't mind but would have liked to have been looking slightly better before meeting 'the boys!'

We will probably take ds to some fireworks over the weekend if we can find some that are not on to late, the lovley people down the road fromu s decided to let some of the loudest bangers off untill about 3am this morning!

Delia · 04/11/2006 09:19

Morning all

Congratulations on the birth of Ava, glad everything is okay with you both and happy bonding.

Good luck to both Stacey and HC, hopefully news will come through soon about your smooth text book labours!

Well still nothing happening here - due date is Sunday - dosen't lo understand that mummy does not do being late for anything! lol.

NJ and anyone else feeling rough/tired fed up etc sending lots of big hugs to cheer you up.

Charleesunnysunsun · 04/11/2006 09:35

Just had the biggest bloody show (sorry if tmi) much different from last time. Silently praying it's gearing me up for something!

Probably not i still only 37+4!

NatalieJane · 04/11/2006 10:04

Sounding promising Charlee

Obviously as I thought I am still here, contractions have died down but still got period pains, I really do think it is linked to when the baby has come down a bit, if he comes out again I expect the PP will dissapear!

We are off into town, DS needs a scarf, hat and gloves for tonight, we are taking him to the fireworks. He hasn't come out in any more spots and seems absolutely 100% in himself so it doesn't seem like a serious bout of chicken pox.

Before we go I am going to get the hospital bag packed up just incase the HB goes tits up, so much for a nice quiet weekend!!

amyjade · 04/11/2006 10:24

Hattie05

When i had a show with Dd1 and Dd2 it started of like pink discharge then as more came away it contained streaks of blood. maybe different for others though.

Congratulations Eeyoreuk!! Ava is such a beautiful name it's one of the names we had in mind if LO is a girl but have decided on Amelia now.

Diege · 04/11/2006 12:13

Hi! I was in the due NOv 05 stream last year (we're still going strong now!) and wanted to wish all you ladies the best of luck! A teeny bit jealous too! Enjoy the last few days/weeks as much as possible, you'll be wishing bubs was back inside in a few weeks!! .

mummygunpowdertreasonhill · 04/11/2006 12:23

Delia - Start gearing up for being late for stuff now hun it never goes to plan with kids.

Thanks again for having my monsters last night. If you feel up to it tomorrow you are welcome to join us. BBQ will be lit at 6 ish and fireworks to start soon after.

Have a pack of nappies and a few bits here for you which I forgot to put in the car for you lastnight.

DebbsyandBibby · 04/11/2006 15:45

thank you Diege

MeAndMyBoys · 04/11/2006 16:27

Hi ladies, sorry for being awol for a while. Eeyoreuk congrats on your little girl what a gorgeous name too.

Charlee finges crossed it won't be long for you. I had a really bloody show last time but this time it was just the snotty stuff and no blood.

Hope everyone else is doing well, I haven't had a chance to catch up just wanted to check in and see how things were going.

DS2 is being a star as is his big brother, just have a shitty cough that is causing me problems but otherwise we're all doing well. Had my mum over for a few days which was lovely, was sad when she had to go home. Think she was too lol.

I'll catch up again in a few days, fingers crossed for everyone.

H x

Nothing here either, just walked round town still nothing

Oh well at least i will get to watch X-Factor in peace that's something i suppose!

NatalieJane · 04/11/2006 23:51

MAMB's, it is really lovely to hear from you, don't be sorry for being too busy to post. I am glad that everything is going well, and I hope your cough clears up pretty quickly, it must be the last thing you need right now!
Mygirl, I hope everything is OK?
Charlee, I was hoping I would be coming on to find you'd dissapeared off to have your baby!! Fingers crossed he won't hold out on you much longer!

I wonder how Lebe is getting on? We haven't heard anything for a while. And of course Stacey has been very quiet again today, and HC. It is almost geting too exciting to handle now!!
Oh and looking at the stats list, Spinach is due on the 10th, but it says she is having a CS a week before, which would be yesterday....? Good luck to all of you

We went to see the fireworks earlier, but I think DS was more impressed with the very very very rare taste of McDonalds! The display was really good actually, there was a great big bonfire that really warmed everyone up, and there was a bit of a kiddies fair ground, and flashy glow stick type things everywhere, it was great fun. Over did the walking a bit though, not so much distance, but the pace, everyone was in such a rush and you kind of get dragged along by the crowds, I have been having some very painful and regular contractions, still backed up by the period pain and yet more greeny snotty stuff since we got home. I am really pissed off with it now, I have said it before, but I wouldn't mind in the slightest if I knew the pain was actually getting me somewhere, if only very slowly, but knowing it is literally all for nothing is just bloody depressing, and down right soul crushing!

Ah well, looking on the bright side, another sleepless night, another internet shopping spree!

Mummy2Toby · 05/11/2006 00:27

NJ - yes, I have kept Freyas cord and clip - I have still got ds's aswell, it is in his memory box the things we do as parents I am sure that they will never want to look at their cords when they gat older.
I hope that you have a comfortable night and I will keep popping on to see if anybody else has had their lo take care

DebbsyandBibby · 05/11/2006 08:09

mandmb hope you feel better soon hun
how are your gorgeous little boys?
nj no sleep again?
ooohh its getting exciting now isnt it
good luck to those who are hopefully in labour x

harrogatemum · 05/11/2006 08:42

Mygirl - are you alright - let us know if we can help in any way!

Charleesunnysunsun · 05/11/2006 08:59

Mygirl - Are you ok, your last post was a bit cryptic? I hope you are, let us know if you need a chat or a rant about anything.

NJ - It's so frustrating isn't it! Knowing your in so muhc pain but nothing is happening, i spent last night literaly stuck in one position because my SPD was acting up so much i wouldn't care if i knew something was going to happen soon but i dont! Glad your LO's enjoyed the fireworks though and a Maccy D's is a nice treat for them to have.

I still have ds's cord clip it doesn't have any stump on it though it's in a little envelope in his baby memory book along with his first hair cut and hospital bands. I got this new LO a memory book yesterday in town im quite good at filling them in now all i need is a baby to write about!

DP has taken DS out today to do something to his car i think it's just a case of ds sitting in the drivers seat while dp faffs about doing things to it, ds looks so sweet though my mum knitted him a wolly hat and mittens he looks lovley!

I hope your all ok today, NJ i hope thoses contractions produced something worthwhile and i hope Mygirl your ok. Let us know if you can.

purpleluce · 05/11/2006 10:40

Hi all

Just read few a few posts and sending out good labour vibes to you all as I have finally got to the other side thank goodness!

Samuel Harry was born at home on Thurs 2nd Nov 11.05 pm, 8ib 8oz. Gorgous! Have written up gory details in October section for anyone who is interested.

NJ - particularly thinking of you and home birth, dd ended up going to a friends for sleep over, it just worked out that way in the end and I have to say I think that was helpful. I wouldn't have minded her seeing the latent labour bit as I just go quiet and focused but the active bit was v intense and I found it harder than I remember and wouldn't have wanted her to witness that. Don't know if you have any options like that? She was chuffed to bits to meet her baby brother and been great so far ... it is a weird feeling initially having a second as you have so much loyalty for the first.

Anyway, will check in now and then and wishing you all the best off now to check out postnatal threads.

NatalieJane · 05/11/2006 12:13

Purpleluce - It sounds as though it went well!! Your poor DH, mine would have appeared to be fine on the outisde, but just bloody crumbling inside LMAO Seriously, huge congratulations, lovely name, both are in the line up for this babies middle name so I do really like them!!! I hope he is settling in well

Well I feel a bit of a fraud, I didn't have another contraction after I posted last night, so I was in bed by about 12.30, and then my gorgeous DH left me in bed this morning, waking me up at 11.00 with a bacon sarnie and a cup of tea at the lie in, I haven't slept that long since I was about 14, and whats more it was solid sleep, I didn't even get up for a wee or anything!! I was obviously bursting once I did wake up, was touch and go as to whether I would make it to the loo or not, especially because I had been lying in the same position all night so half of me was completely dead!! LOL

Well I am off to get a shower and start painting again! Have a good day everyone (Congrats again to Purpleluce )

Charleesunnysunsun · 05/11/2006 12:32

NJ - Glad you had such a lovley lie in! How i wish the same would happen to me!

Purpleluce - Lovley name, welcome to your little boy i hope he's settling in well - congratulations and well done!

DP has just asked me if baby has been moving today and do you know i don't know! I have not been paying attention at all and now since he has said it, LO is as still as a mouse! eek

Do your actually kick and oucnh now or do you just feel it stretching/ sticking out limbs ect? I never have any kicks or anything i think it's becuase it's so big but i'm finding it so hard to tell what is movements and what isn't where my bump is always rock solid when im up and about i can't feel anything and when im sitting down i don't feel anything anyway!

Im in absolute agony today with the SPD i litteral cant lift myself on my legs to walk or anything, DP is having to help me move on the sofa to get comfortable, poor bloke he's hardly the size to be lifting a heffer like me!

NatalieJane · 05/11/2006 14:03

Sorry you are feeling sore again today Charlee. I don't feel much inside anymore, at the top of my belly where it is hard all of the time, if he brushes his leg past I can actually make out his whole thigh, knee, calf, ankle, and foot! I feel more from his hands now, really down low in my belly, but other than that, not much really. I get the odd sticky out limb, can't figure out if it is his elbow or knee, around to the side sometimes, and he did get his foot caught on my bottom rib a few days ago - that bloody hurt!!

I have just had a nice bath, DS played 'mum' and washed my back and belly for me, he loves getting his hands wet, and the rubbing on my back was just bliss!! LOL DH has insisted I sit down and relax instead of painting, I am really loving today!! LOL I am however wondering what he has done wrong to feel enough guilt to take over the house for the day, and look after me in the process....?!

DebbsyandBibby · 05/11/2006 14:09
