whoo think ive had a bit of a show today it was very snot like but not bloody so i hope this is a good sign as am 5 days ova due now, think it helped that i went for an hour long walk!!!

I am back,blood test was straight forward, nothing to worry about. I think the taxi driver was very pleased when we got there though, he started sweating a little bit when he saw the size of me!! LOL

I don't know if anyone has been following the Dec thread, I've not been but I saw it quickly the other day and had a peep in, two of their girls have had their babies in October! I don't think we have even had a confirmed November baby yet have we? I am sure/hoping Eeyore will take 1st place, but nothing yet!

Just had a long walk round town - doesn't seem to have done anything usefull!

But i did get some xmas pressies for my nieces, didn't manage to get any of ds's i wanted to buy him everything and couldn't decide!

I hope all you gals in labour are doing ok thinking of you tonight and your lo's.

As i sit here ds is sticking stickers all over my stomach to give them to the baby, he's also quite concerned about my stretch marks he thinks they're sores! bless!

On the matter of breast feeding i think DP may have been traumatised by Step MIL, she is the only woman he has been in the company of whilst breast feeding and she did literally whop the whole boob out even before unstrapping her LO from the pushchair! I will not be doing this!

I met up with a girl i used to be friends with in town, i don't really like her much anymore let's say she didn't turn out to be the nicest of people, she gave her ds away to his father and refused to see him for the last 6 months he's only 1 1/2 poor mite. Anyway she didn't speak at first when i said hello to her she said

'oh i didn't know you were pregnant! i saw you earlier but didn't speak because i thought it was your dp with another woman who was just fat!'

hi all just to let you know Ava Ruby was born on the 2nd nov at 22.34 weight 6lb 9 oz i had epidral due to cracked coxyx(sp)injury and bp concerns but knew this before hand any how.

can anyone explain a 'show' to me? I didn't get one with dd and always thought it contained blood. But i notice a lot of talk about snot on here - what colour should the snot be? I have snot like discharge but it is white does that mean things are working?

I have just been looking at the babies born and we only have one boy! I wonder what hopingcat will have
We are doing well here, Freya seems to be settling in okay and I even got 6 hours solid sleep the other night, I can't believe she will be a week old tomorrow her cord fell off today and I cried my eyes out, when dh asked why, I said because it means she is already growing up must be the hormones

Hattie, everytime I have lost a bit more show, it has been a greeny colour, but I am having a constant flow of pure white sticky discharge, there is a definate difference in the two for me, but I think different people have very very different sorts of shows. Only once or twice has mine been threaded with blood, mostly it is just like green gunk - sorry for anyone reading this over breakfast!!

M2T, how fast has that week gone?!! Have you kept the cord stump? I still have DS's it is 4 and half years old now, and it doesn't even smell... not that I go around sticking my nose in boxes containing old cord stumps!! LOL Freya sounds like she is behaving herself Thanks for te update

On top of my contractions, I am having some really bad period pains tonight, even chocolate hasn't shifted them (Cadbury Fruit and Nut, mmmmmmmmmm!) the baby has once again engaged, I think the walk from the doctors to town this morning did it, so I am very very very quietly hoping things are starting to happen, but at the same time, I won't be surprised if we are still sat here in 3 weeks!! Contractions are every 6 mins, not too strong though so like I said, I am not getting too excited or anything.

NJ and M2T - I also kept DS's cord stump - 4 years old!! And DD's as well, I think! Glad Freya's doing well.

We took the kids to an organised bonfire and fireworks display this evening, just up the road so we could walk there. They put on a fireworks display for kids early on so people could then take them home to bed if they wanted to. A bit too much standing around for me, but I'm pleased we got to take them to a display just in case LO arrives this weekend - DS loved it, whereas last year he was scared of fireworks.

Today (Fri) was my due date. Going for walks this weekend in the hope of getting things going!

NJ, maybe not as long as 3 weeks now if you're getting period pains as well. I get those at night usually but not every night, only twice a week or so, since just over a week ago.
