daholster, maybe you should get someone to look at it again? would a GP know about it or is there a specialist you can get to?

FiRaffe · 06/03/2015 13:32

Hope you can get checked daholster. Things can change in hours so just because all was okay yesterday doesn't mean it still will be.

Hope the journey has improved too Lauren.

Lauren82000 · 06/03/2015 13:39

I'd get myself checked or at least ring the gp Daholster.

Yes I managed to have a wee. I only counted 3 in an hour so no need to panic! Smile

Lauren82000 · 06/03/2015 13:41

Oh and the costa lady was surprised I have so long left and asked if it's a boy! Wink I must look huge to strangers.

daholster · 06/03/2015 13:44

Thanks for not just being freaked out... With sleep and food I feel a little better. I can't see any bleeding anywhere which is what the hospital was bothered about. I could ask the GP but to be honest last time I had output like this he said it was a tummy bug and that was that.

Think I'll watch and wait, keep an eye on movements, and if my pain gets worse again I'll ring.

skyra13 · 06/03/2015 13:51

Do ring daholster If things get worse sounds like you are having a horrible time, hope things start to get better.

I do find running shower over my bump stops it being painful.

My bump had a spaz attack after lunch little room left for her so feel odd when she gets a wriggle on!

I suppose I was warned that they don't see many people who are pregnant with ileostomies (response to my MN thread from people with ileos was zero!) - though of course they are all reassuring that it's safe (and from google of course there are plenty of women had had babies with a ileostomy) - but all the specialists admit it's just wait and see. Apart from growth they expect problems I experience to be problems for me not ds, which is fine by me. But maybe I'm just getting to a point in pregnancy where space is running short so surgical scars/adhesions become uncomfortable/painful and partial blockages could occur I suppose which will make me feel ill. Perhaps I'm dehydrating easily due to lack of colon (so I lose lots of water I would have been absorbing straight into the bag) and put that together with working and mummying I am getting exhausted and running into problems. Combined with pain from the space/surgery issue perhaps it feels like it's all one big thing but it's more likely maybe lots of little things adding up? And being low on iron too!

I can be glad I think that surgery wise I have only run into hernia problems so far. Like my surgeon and obstetrician said it is just wait and see what happens and how my body copes.

I hope with some rest and my dh home tonight it starts to cope again! Cos it's rotten!

Ds will be worth it though. Best drink more and help to test my theory...

PenguinPoser · 06/03/2015 14:16

Sounds like a rubbish day for you daholster hope you're ok - it probably sounds like a bug as long as there's no more bleeding, maybe baby was causing a bit of a blockage and it's resolving now or something like that, but definitely ring if the pain gets worse rather than better.

Lauren hope your journey is going ok and that you're home soon.

My baby is poking it's foot out under the right side of my ribs again, the foot is definitely getting bigger! It's so cute. I feel I should know if it's a girl or boy and really don't have a clue. Can't wait to find out now!

cinnamongreyhound · 06/03/2015 14:35

My Dh is similar SquattingNeville, he once got me a Mother's Day card with something about a condom splitting as the punchline, I cried!!!!! Mine make stuff now at school and it's lovely.

Hope you have a restful weekend and that it is something solvable daholster, it's easy to think it's a few more weeks and it'll be ok but when you're feeling that terrible even a few days is too much!

daholster · 06/03/2015 14:41

cinnamon you are spot on!!! Having said earlier I don't want to do my hospital bag because I'm not ready, I also so want him out at the moment for lots of reasons!!! Imagine how gutted I'd be if he arrived and I felt no better... That would be worse! Shock

And you just worry about them all the time while they are in there too! It feels easier when you can see them.

penguin the foot getting bigger thing is so cute Smile

Heyitsholly · 06/03/2015 15:29

Ive been on this thread for months and have only just found where it tells you what the acronyms are! I've been been reading it all this time thinking , why DS/DP/DH?

I've got a quiet baby today, but may be due to high stress levels and a crap day at work. Gonna eat icecream and make it wriggle more when i finally get home to put my mind at rest!
Half of me knows im worrying about movements because the midwife said its heartbeat sounded like a horse running yesterday. which to me cant be good but she thought was fine, but i don't trust midwives any more after my eye drama.

Heyitsholly · 06/03/2015 15:32

Just found:

TSSDNCOP
the secret service does not comment on procedure!!

As if mumsnetter use that often!! ha ha

daholster · 06/03/2015 15:40

Lol! Running horse is what it should be other holly so don't worry.

FiRaffe · 06/03/2015 15:45

Ooh Holly where is it? I've often gone hunting on my phone and never found it!!!!

Faithope · 06/03/2015 15:45

Is it ok to join in at this late stage? I didn't know these threads existed lol

I am due my baby on 11th April although I have a feeling he/she will be here before then x

RL20 · 06/03/2015 15:57

Heyitsholly sorry to hear you're having a crap day!
I think I remember the midwife telling me that a fast beat is a good beat, to an extent obviously. As it beats something or other per second/minute faster than ours. I remember describing to my partner one time that the beat sounded like a horse galloping! (After I rushed to hospital about reduced movements when he was at work).
Hope ice cream makes you feel a little bit better!
But remember do call them if you feel really worried.
I've grasped what most of the DS and DP etc codes mean now but I'm going be totally naive and say I don't know what the D at the beginning stands for! It's going to be something really obvious isn't it...

Daholster hope you're feeling a bit better than earlier on?

Squatting and cinnamon - my partner sounds the same! You do have to laugh when they try, bless them.
I've been thinking about Mother's Day too, obviously baby won't be here for then but I was thinking how nice it would be if my partner did a little card for me, but I'm the one that generally has to remind him about his own families birthdays so I doubt he even knows that Mother's Day is coming up!

Well I'd just like to tell you all that I'm writing this from the bath! Yes the bath, with hot water and everything Grin and it feels lovely. Turned out not to be the underground pipes, (but they did have to take up carpet and unscrew some floorboards to find that out first) and it's a small pipe behind the boiler that's causing the downstairs flat leak, or something. It's to do with the pressure on our boiler being dodgy. So they've ordered a part for it which will be fitted hopefully early next week. But in the mean ye hot water and heating is back on! Grin It just means that I've got to do that pile of washing up now Hmm

FiRaffe · 06/03/2015 15:58

Welcome Faithope - you're more than welcome to join us! Not too long until you get to meet your baby now.

RL20 · 06/03/2015 15:59

Hi faithope! Of course it is. We are all very chatty though and the threads move quick! Grin
TheBooMonster has a chart of all of our due dates and ages etc, I'm sure someone on here will be able to tell you how you can have a look, as I have no clue! Grin

FiRaffe · 06/03/2015 16:00

Sorry cross posted RL - great news about the pipes and the bath! Am still at my desk for another half hour then getting home as fast as I can!!!

Welcome Faithope.

RL delighted for you. So this means you can stay put presumably?

Yes Holly galloping horse is how it's meant to sound.

Am so tired we are watching frozen on the sofa as per usual fri arvo. Should clearly be taking DD for a romp on the common/ duck feeding to make the most of the fab weather but I cannot be arsed I'm afraid.

Faithope · 06/03/2015 16:11

Thank you for the warm welcomes :)

I copied and pasted the due date list-hope that was OK?

I have a 14 month old so will be in and out of the chat lol

Squidge14 · 06/03/2015 16:19

Welcome Faithope do you know if you are having a boy or a girl? Beware we are a very chatty bunch, blink and you miss 5 pages Grin we also have a secret FB group going, although I'm not sure how to add you if you wanted to join Blush I'm sure one of the other ladies could help though!

RL I think it stands for 'Darling' or 'Dear' I stick to OH (other half) though!

daholster poor you, it's one thing after another! I hope the latest is nothing to worry about and you can have a nice relaxing weekend with your hubby home!
