Sorry cross posting! just tagging on to the end of my post

IvegotaCaveTroll · 03/03/2015 21:58

Oh for a young pelvic floor Moomin

Lauren82000 · 03/03/2015 22:00

Moomin I haven't been doing mine recently it proper slipped my mind. I do the odd bunch now when I remember but no where near as much as I did. I'm doing ok in the accidentally weeing side of things as I haven't had that problem yet. I do seem to dribble a bit more after I've had a wee but that could just be discharge from changing position and when I wipe after a wee there seems to be more of the tissue wet than usual. (But that could be the loo roll I bought. It's a bit flimsy despite being andrex)Hmm basically I'm refusing to think it's relaxed pelvic floor and blaming everything else. Must try harder on getting those exercises done. Wink

cinnamongreyhound · 03/03/2015 22:00

X several posts!!!!!

It's pregnancy not vaginal delivery that knackers your pelvic floor, so please do exercises. Find something you do regularly that will trigger you to do them. I do them when I walk my dogs in the morning as I'm in a trance and never meet anyone. I've known women who do them whenever they're at traffic lights or when they go to the fridge.

My big dog (male) and dh often snore together Ivegotacavetroll! Little dog (female) doesn't and I of course never snore Wink

ChickenMe · 03/03/2015 22:22

Doing my pelvic floors now as you all have reminded me. The only person I know who did them is..my Mum. I have mentioned before that she's a retired midwife and if there's one thing she's militant about its pelvic floor. She even gets my 94 year old Nan doing them. Grin

FiRaffe · 03/03/2015 22:26

Evening ladies - had enough energy to go to choir for the first time in 6 weeks. It was great fun and nice to get out.

Also found out the lady from our NCT who is having twins gave birth yesterday, although her due date was the same as mine (24th April)!

PenguinPoser · 03/03/2015 23:48

mswibble yes those things that cinnamongreyhound said - can't say I've noticed much difference but perhaps it's preventing it getting worse. Had to take some paracetamol at times too. And take things very slowly! Sleeping with pillow between legs too is meant to stabilise pelvis. A few weeks ago someone posted a good link - can't remember if it was on here or another thread - a link to a physio sheet for SPD/PGP...

www.liverpoolwomens.nhs.uk/Library/our_services/maternity/Pelvic_Girdle_Pain_Leaflet.pdf

It pretty much says the same as what my midwife told me. I would have referred myself to physio but given I'm now being induced in under 2 weeks probably wouldn't be seen in time anyway.

Just reading back I have been doing pelvic floor exercises in bed! Have tried to be good ish with them - last 2 days I've leaked a bit on sneezing Blush which has spurred me on to do more.

Glad you enjoyed going to choir Fi.
Cinnamon you are keeping me inspired that breast feeding can be done - thank you!

TheBooMonster · 03/03/2015 23:59

Nunkie yea, the placenta smoothly put me off my breakfast smoothies for a few days!

Ladies who were talking about SPD, I've felt like there is a brick between my hips since about 16 weeks, but I don't know if that's SPD or my crappy joints in general, normally I'd take tramadol and not examine it any further but am having to grin and bear it as opiate dependant newborns = bad.

I think I might have found a breastfeeding session at the other side of Norwich that will only take me 50 minutes to get to victory dance am going to investigate before my everything wax on Thursday as if it's any good it's on weekly!

Crashed at 9pm this evening, am wide awake now though, DD had a cough and I interfered so she woke up and wanted CBeebies and world war 3 almost started. Everyone but me and possibly the poor neighbours is asleep now though!

There are now 4 babies on my other April group, seems the babies here are all a bit more restrained!

Babiecakes - good luck - must be super scary but everything is being done for the right reasons and you will be in the right place.

Your first job is to get all the hospital staff on board with NO VISITORS xxxxxxx

Nunkie · 04/03/2015 07:39

Ooo, best of luck Babiecakes - not that you will need it - you'll be meeting your baby before you know it - what a moment that will be!! ShockGrin Looking forward to a full report (whenever you have the time or energy, that is!)

BrixtonBunny · 04/03/2015 07:46

Good luck babie!!

Nunkie I'm planning on blitzing my placenta into smoothies - though realise it is definitely not for everyone! There seems to be lots of anecdotal evidence suggesting it helps stave off antenatal depression, helps with replenishing iron, helps stop you regain energy a bit quicker, and it is full of vitamin k. So I figure there's many potential gains and the only downside is drinking a slightly "odd" smoothie which I can just down in one every few days! I'm quite excited about it, if only because I find other people's reactions quite funny... (Mainly "ewwwww!") Wink

Sleeping is still tough, I'm much comfier on my right hand side so giving in! But I find that if I don't change positions regularly I get a very achey arm and hip on the side I'm lying on.

35 weeks today Shock

BrixtonBunny · 04/03/2015 07:48

"Helps stop you regain energy quicker"?!

Clearly I mean helps you regain energy quicker. Sounds like I'm in need of a placenta smoothie right now! Grin

skyra13 · 04/03/2015 08:15

I think maybe I would eat it if I didn't have to make the smoothie my self lol but DH I don't think would be willing to do it for me lol

BrixtonBunny · 04/03/2015 08:29

Skyra my DP or my mum will make it for me! Wink

skyra13 · 04/03/2015 08:45

Haha Good plan!! :)

cinnamongreyhound · 04/03/2015 08:57

Hope all goes well babiecakes11!!!! 36 weeks is great. Forget the c section and remember your little girl Flowers
