Congratulations Melon and Mayday, welcome.

Thecrab I had an early scan last Tue and was dated just over 10. The midwife also told me that once they've seen a heartbeat at that stage the odds/safety are the same as 12 weeks.

SpamAnderson · 28/02/2015 09:37

Hello new ladies!
Good day today, got my taps finally being replaced (I only bought them 5 years ago!!) and found my pram on gumtree, I know it's early but it's one I want and it's a bargain. The hood is faded so hoping to haggle a few quid off and then buy the replacement hood. It's red so nice and unisex too :) bit the bullet and booked the cat in for a spay on Monday as she's doing my head in with the wailing round the house all night! Scan is only 6 days away and I weighed this morning and I've officially lost 15lbs since my BFP on New Years Day!

JessTT · 28/02/2015 09:57

Hi ladies, hope you all ok this morning. I had my scan on Thursday which was lovely and reassuring. They put me at 13 weeks. We have just told our 2 DDs, the eldest is very excited (but too much for the youngest to understand at mo) :-)
I have been feeling pretty rotten with constant nausea as I did with my first two although have had some respite the last few weeks so feel like it may be getting better but then was randomly sick yesterday morning! First time I hve actually been sick through all 3 pregnancies....just wondering whether any of you guys have started vomiting at this stage? X

Whatabout · 28/02/2015 10:19

Morning, not sleeping well with a horrible cold and my back playing up. 12 weeks today and still horribly nauseous but a touch less knackered.

Scan in 48 hours, still very nervous about it, but not long to go now! 3 of 5 of my team resigned this week. My territory has just become the whole of England and Wales. My boss is staying in the company but totally different role so I will apply for his job. Stressful times and I'm quite frightened how the next six months will go.

Treaclepie19 · 28/02/2015 11:58

Morning all :)
Had my first instance of actually being sick today. After weeks of nausea and heaving. 10+6 - late for morning sickness to start isn't it? :p

THEworrywart · 28/02/2015 12:03

Treacle mine started today I'm 13+4 I thought this honestly can't be happening after 13 weeks of my only symptom being extreme fatigue which is actually getting worse

SpamAnderson · 28/02/2015 12:04

treacle mine started late this time. I had none with my first 2 but it started around 8-9 weeks this time and still get a morning where I'll randomly throw up. I take it as a good sign your hormones are getting stronger :)

Chuch21 · 28/02/2015 14:37

After a symptomless week or so I now feel like I've done about a million sit ups... I feel gigantic too!
Boobs still aren't sore and the nausea has worn off.
Less that 48hours until scan though, it'll be so lovely to see a little person in there hoping OH will then appreciate there is a reason for my sleepiness and emotions
But if it's not meant to be at least we'll know...
The people we've told officially think I'm the biggest pessimist in the world; I call it being prepared!

Lovelybitofsquirrel · 28/02/2015 15:29

Hello to all the new ladies and congrats on all the scans.
Ditzzy I certainly don't think it's acceptable to ring at 3pm on Fri to change appointment for Mon, it's less than one working day's notice and if companies insist on the rule that you give two days notice for one day off (I'm sure you're meant to give twice as much notice as the time you want off) then it would be impossible for your dh and maybe you to get out of work. I would ring early Monday and see what they say.
Scan for me Tue- Havetea I think we're scan and due date buddies-wonder if we'll still have the same edd after Tue?!

Lovelybitofsquirrel · 28/02/2015 15:30

Hmmm so apparently the bold thing doesn't work on the app

mrsdos · 28/02/2015 15:52

Afternoon all and welcome Newbies Smile
Finally got around to using the laptop, here is a pic of Babydos! Took an absolute age to get the measurements yesterday, the sonographer even commented on how we already seem to have a naughty one Shock

Treaclepie19 · 28/02/2015 16:10

Haha ladies, typical it's starting when other people's is ending!
Definitely taking it as a good sign. I was so upset and worried this morning, then I was sick and thought of it as babies way of saying "stop worrying mommy"!

Omg exhausted.com. dont seem to have the energy this 2nd pregnancy.....went to do monthly food shop, DS promptly threw up all over himself in car. Strip him down, new clothes, shop, lunch, home, shopping away, wash 1 out of machine into dryer, wash 2 (everything covered in sick inc car seat cover) loaded, DS in bath, lasagne made and in oven for tea.....now flopped! Zzzzzzz Brew

SpamAnderson · 28/02/2015 18:46

Shhhhhh I bought my pram :) bargain for £50, everything there and in great condition, just need to replace the hood, bought the new one already so have a fab pram for less than £75 :D now just praying I haven't tempted fate! Not much left to buy now! Cot mattress and Moses basket mattress, couple more bottles, car seat and sleep suits and it's all done :D 12 weeks Monday! Going to get the doppler out tonight to hopefully hear his little heart beat as he swims around :) less than 6 days to scan!
Lovely scan pic mrs

Fluffin · 28/02/2015 18:53

monkey, I did a fraction of that and ended up having a nap during the rugby! Lovely to see everyone's scans, mines only on the 12th so waiting patiently, if all is well going to tell my mom on mother's day she's going to be a granny, can't wait! Can't wait to start buying things either, it's going to be a long couple of weeks!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 28/02/2015 19:04

I'm so exhausted today! I've barely done anything but I'm ready to go back to sleep already! This is ridiculous. I've got loads of work to do and a bloody long parents' evening to prepare for! I really want to fast forward the next two weeks.

sauvblanc21 · 28/02/2015 19:39

Doctor I'm with you, 85 mock exams to mark this weekend and so far I've managed.....zero. Urgh. Just been sleeping and trying to force some food down. Booo. Xx

MyNameIsSuz · 28/02/2015 20:12

Oh god, I'm exhausted too! I've been fine and avoided sickness etc, but the last few days it's hit me and my whole body hurts. Ds has been waking up really early which doesn't help. Bluuuuuuurrrrrrgh.

Guavasforbreakfast · 28/02/2015 21:46

Suz I have to admit that when DS wakes up before 6 and won't go back to sleep, I've been too nauseous to get up (DH is a restaurant manager so works v late and can't get up with him either) and we put ITNG on the iPad for him.

Guavasforbreakfast · 28/02/2015 21:50

His diet has also been appalling as I haven't been able to face cooking - luckily we're staying with the ILs while buying a house so at least he has a proper evening meal (when gw eats it).

Massive déjà vu - feel like I've written this post before!

Guavasforbreakfast · 28/02/2015 21:51

Oops I meam *he, no idea how that turned into gw.

itssangriaoclock · 28/02/2015 22:24

My morning sickness has increased too over the last couple of days.

Spam what pram did you buy? Always interested to know what prams people go for there are just so many. I had three different with ds kept taking them backConfusedShock

Chuch21 · 01/03/2015 03:42

Oh my word, I've woken up in agony with what feels like really pulled muscles in my upper stomach/back... Is this normal?! It's not like period cramps and I know it could just be stretching but it's soooo painful, perhaps it's just my zero tolerance for pain, I really hope little bean is ok Sad

Treaclepie19 · 01/03/2015 05:07

Hopefully it's just muscles/ligament pain church, see how you g.

I'm wide awake too. Only has 5 hours slept but I feel sick and have stomach ache.

Is anyone else being religious with sleeping on their left side? It's driving me mad. I'm a right side sleeper.

OP posts:
lastnightiwenttomanderley · 01/03/2015 05:48

I'm up!

I'm a right side/belly sleeper. Not been deviating too much from normal just yet as I figure there's not much to squash my.veins at the moment. As I get bigger I probably will.

spam interested as to which.buggy you chose too! Based on.our initial research, we're leaning towards the uppababy vista or candy strawberry. Going to book.in for the big John Lewis session though.
