I've just been told I'm on the priority list for cbt due to my pregnancy. It's weird that yours has been put back.

THEworrywart · 27/02/2015 16:40

I think they want to focus on my anxiety rather than my ED.

monkeymoonpig · 27/02/2015 16:46

Just seen consultant who has taken me off my blood pressure tablets - woo hoo! So pleased! My chances of having baby at local MLU have now increased massively (0% chance whilst on medication, would have to be consultant led which is 50mins away). Fingers crossed my bp doesnt shoot up at 41wks like last time!

shinjuku09 · 27/02/2015 17:24

Congrats on all the positive scans Smile

10.2 here and still waiting for scan date. Feeling lots better last few days which is obviously the usual double edged sword! A relief but just hoping all ok as this was when I lost all symptoms last time and then had mc. But I know it's illogical to worry like that as I know all was ok at nine weeks this time whereas last time things had stopped growing about five weeks.

Sorry to hear things are difficult Worry. Afraid I don't have any advice but really hope things get easier for you and that you're not too worried. As someone else said it's amazing how resilient these babies are.

alien11 · 27/02/2015 17:38

Hi all I have been on the October thread and here but had booking appt yday& if dates are right EDD is back to 26th Sept.

12 wk scan should come through the post soon but be around 12th march. Although we re away then so have to be after. Just hope all is ok and I've caught up with the EDD.
Frantically been packing as head off skiing tomorrow!

Stanway · 27/02/2015 18:59

Scan this afternoon, all well, very exciting! Only one baby (phew), requisite number of limbs, mostly asleep on its front but managed to wake it up eventually. All feeling bit more real now!! Eek. ....

Hare5260 · 27/02/2015 19:07

Question.

How do you ladies with long commutes cope? I just had to spend 40 minutes in traffic and spent it a) desperate to pee and b) fighting to keep my eyes open! Thank God I don't usually have to deal with rush hour(s).

Congrats all the positive scans.
Worry I hope that you can work things out enough with cbt and your midwife, I feel for you sweetheart x

Monkey fantastic news!

GoooRooo · 27/02/2015 19:09

I commute 3 hours each way Hare. I cross my legs and eat a lot of polos to help with sickness. I fall asleep on the train regularly (and am a terrible snorer so that's quite embarrassing!)

Whatabout · 27/02/2015 19:12

I have spent about 16 hours in the car this week (I worked from home 2 days so quite a lot) and it kills me. Last night driving from Yorkshire to Buckinghamshire I thought I'd fall asleep at the wheel. Frightened me to death!

ditzzy · 27/02/2015 19:16

So having booked the afternoon off for my scan and consultant appointment on Monday the midwife has just called and left a message on my voicemail saying they've moved the appointment from 3 pm to 12.40 and please could I call back before 4 pm (message was left at 3, I picked it up at 7) to confirm. I work about an hours train commute from home/the hospital - would it be unreasonable to pretend not to have got the message??!! DP can't get back for 1240 without taking the whole day off (with zero notice) either - is it really expected that we drop everything at the snap of a midwife's fingers? Or should I just be being grateful for the appointment (should I call the out of hours number in tears and try and get them to sort it)

Argggg

banterbus · 27/02/2015 19:18

Congrats on all the positive scans and welcome back properly alien

My booking appt is on Tuesday and I'll be 10+6. Still no scan date, I assume it will be booked after the midwife appt. In a way I can't wait but I'm also quite happy with the 'today I am pregnant' mentality and I'm worried if something is wrong at the scan...

Stanway · 27/02/2015 19:22

Re commute, yes it's a nightmare, especially re driving with full bladder and dropping off... I was ready to murder someone after an epic 4.5 hour drive the other day. But, I've found the sleepiness has got better now (13+1) and in theory the needing to go to the loo gets better in the trimester??

Sundaysmumisfullofwine · 27/02/2015 20:22

Scan date 18th March, when I think I'll be around 12+2 so that's quite good. Living on carbs at the moment though.

Melonhead11 · 27/02/2015 21:54

Hello :)
Just found out today that I'm 12(!!) weeks pregnant. I've taken pregnacare since I had my dd (shamefully because it keeps my hair looking semi healthy!) so that was a (vain) lucky choice!
Our dd is blind and I know this pregnancy will be unexpected as many of our friends/family think we wouldn't want to risk the same happening again (it's as if they are implying that another child like dd couldn't be a blessing) even though Dds condition is unbelievably rare and we only have a 0.04% chance of it happening again. Anyway.. I'm just wondering if announcing the pregnancy now would cause worry? I'm anxious so one will be happy for us :(

Cornberry · 27/02/2015 22:00

Congratulations melon :) I'm sure people will be happy for you, and if they're not and rude enough to say so then screw them!

itssangriaoclock · 27/02/2015 22:04

Congrats melon, I can't believe that friends and family would be anything else but happy for you. There is always a slight possibility that any baby/child will have some form of disability not having children is not the answer.

Hope your felling well, so many of us are suffering with nausea/vomiting or fatigue

getoffthecoffeetable · 27/02/2015 22:05

Congratulations Melonhead
Wow, getting to twelve weeks worry free, that's great news. Have you had your first scan yet?
I think that your family and friends will be as thrilled as you are about your pregnancy and frankly if they aren't then they should keep their thoughts to themselves.

Mayday1 · 27/02/2015 22:30

Hello everyone, can I join you? 11 weeks pg with baby 2, already have a ds who'll be 2 next month. Really looking forward to the scan next Thursday :)

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 28/02/2015 03:01

Waa I have woken up with the most awful knot in my stomach and can't get back to sleep - no apparent reason for this anxiety wasn't even having a proper nightmare Sad. Roll on Tuesdays scan...

The joys of pregnancy, DH away out for the day at 11 tomorrow to watch rugby so think I'll have to sneak a lie in before he goes.

Loving the scan pics x

THEworrywart · 28/02/2015 05:55

Congrats melon I'm sure everyone will be happy and excited for you! Xx

getoffthecoffeetable · 28/02/2015 07:21

Congratulations Mayday and good luck with your scan.
I'm ten, maybe eleven weeks now and had my booking in appointment yesterday. MW said that they're really busy at the moment so the scan dates are coming back from 28th March. That would put me well outside the nuchal fold dates so I think we're just going to have to pay to have it done privately.
How's everyone feeling today? I haven't really had any symptoms this pregnancy except my middle getting wider. When I was pregnant with my other two (both boys) I was naucious for the first twelve weeks. Does this mean this one could be a girl?

monkeymoonpig · 28/02/2015 07:39

getoffthecoffeetable im wondering something similar though the opposite way round -I had no nausea with DS but at almost 13wks im still feeling sick this time round Confused perhaps means a girl?

ditzzy · 28/02/2015 07:41

Congrats to the new girls!

Well I posted in chat last night for advice on my last minute scan time change, and pretty much everyone said it's perfectly acceptable for midwives to change it with no notice.

I'm still upset and will try to negotiate with them when I can call on Monday morning (although the scan is also Monday) but it looks like DP has to miss out on coming along and I have to rush around like a looney trying to make it without breaking my neck. And then they're going to measure my blood pressure - joy!

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 28/02/2015 07:42

Morning everyone, hello to all the new people! Teaching in east London this morning so an early start for me, though on a delayed train.

TMI alert. Had a little bit of blood this morning but I think it's coming from further back. Still a bit sore after last weekend's digestive standstill and think I've possibly damaged something. Going to keep an eye on it and maybe speak to the doctor on Tuesday as I'm off to take the pup to have his teeth cleaned.

Ah, the joys of pregnancy!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 28/02/2015 07:46

Watching EastEnders on catch up . Just started crying during 'First Time Ever I Saw Your Face'.
Bloody pregnancy! (Disclaimer: Roberta Flack was one of my late dad's favourite singers)
